  • This video tells about the Sand Hill Crane migration across the central flyway through Kearney, Nebraska. Hundreds of thousands of Sand Hill cranes roost and rehabilitate on the Platte River every year in February and March. Watching the cranes taking flight early in the morning, and then watching them fly in in the evening is quite a thrill. The videography and photography of J. Omar Hansen highlight the flocks of cranes in their migratory flights, and also show them feeding in the fields surrounding the Platte river during the days. A real treat for birders, nature lovers and anyone who enjoys watching nature in action. For people who love travel, photography, nature and the outdoors.
