I like using the SDs to experiment with colorways or techniques. I love how you're not trying to make the results perfect but showing the trials and errors that goes with the process.

Nice build! Just make sure youre not using single blade nippers to snip pieces off runners, youre way more likely to damage them that way

There's some world champion modelers who only use spraycans; just takes A LOT of practice and finesse.

    For learning to paint? Yes
    For being cute? Yes
    For kitbashability? Yes
    For customizing? Yes
    For collecting? Mmm… eh… hegh…
    For being articulate? Nope (sadly)
    For existing? Yes

Rattlecans can work, but to get real flow effect, the cans need to be kinda warmed up. I usually warm up water on a stove and fill up a container just enough for the spray cans (maybe use something weighted to place on top) and let them warm up/shake.
    It's like Ethans diary adventures.

Correct, also when using rattle cans, the spray technique should be push down, away from the part, sweep over the part, let go. Repeat until desired coverage. This helps put the paint on in thin consistent layers, and it helps avoid big blobs of paint on the initial push down.

    Very fun video.
Honestly, SDs aren't normally something I buy, but I make a few exceptions every now and then.
For more experienced Gunpla fans, I would suggest the SDCS and MGSD line up. But in general, the BB Senshi and SDEX kits are great for newcomers and those that want a 'quick fix' of enjoyment with building Gunpla.
Just know that most of the SD Kits (SDEX and BB Senshi mainly) require the use of a lot of color correcting stickers and or a lot of painting. Often times, stickers and painting take up more time. However, there's no rush to finish a kit. Enjoy every step. Also, SDs are a great way to practice things like painting, using Gundam Markers, customizing, etc.
Overall, the kit came out nice. But if I have to make a comment about it, the paint in some areas came out a bit rough in some area. It's mostly noticeable on the black painted parts. I noticed that at 4:30 when you used the spray can, you were using it a bit heavily. What I'd suggest is using quick short bursts to very lightly cover the part, letting it dry in between layers, and then repeating as necessary. That way you will minimize the rough looking paint work.

My first full custom was an SD Sazabi. I sprayed the paint so thick that the parts wouldn’t go back together lol

id say just stick to air brush, you can alwa decant the spray can to use in the air brush that way you get the better control but still the color libary of the spray cans XD
