Made the same here in Dominican republic but before connecting with the old tube system of the house I made a desinfection with hydrogen peroxide of the old tubes.. Good work and thanks for the video. You can filter the water 100 times but using the old tubes again of the house connection you have the same bad water . It is no critic . Only a hint for the future constructors of this great idea
Oh, that's great. You're right, this is something I missed. Thank you very much for this advice. Also, do you use a system of pipes to collect rainwater from the roof to reuse water like in part 4 of the video?

Many thanks for this wonderfull educational episode. I have thu some questions: 1) Was it better to grind the coal to powder to increase its surface area and thus to make it more powerfull to treat possible biological bacteria? 2) My second question is what is rate of potable water production from your wonderfull treatment unit model? Thank you again for your effort.
Thank you very much for your great question
1. For the type of coal in the video, do not grind it into powder because it will dissolve in water. For better results, use activated carbon
2, After returning to the tank, the water can finally be used, but for better results, use a black tank to avoid algae and absorb UV to increase bactericidal ability. And ensure the best at 100%: boil the water.
Wishing you all good things.

To my knowledge that album was a goodbye to their original lead Syd Barret, who fell into addiction and was kicked out of the band and more or less disappeared. This is at least partially a goodbye, a memirial, and a mourning for a lost friend.

I could see this as possibly used for filtering roof collected water only.
That's an interesting idea! Using it for filtering roof-collected water could be very practical. Have you tried implementing this kind of filtration system before?
@@HolicCreation ,Seen a much bigger system of rain catchment for a very wealthy person in Hawaii. Worked on it and it dwarfed what you see in this broadcast, I see alge as the main problem with his system. You still need, "Hydrogen Peroxide" to kill the alge that will eventually become a green slime in the system, that will grow and cause bad tasting water.
All the sinks that the guy had in his home, there were installed solid carbon block filter media, manufactered by a company called, "Multipure" out of Las Vegas, Nevada. That does not work if you have high TDS expecially if your water is high in calcium and magnesium. It just good for washing dishes and taking a bath.
That's a good point about high TDS and minerals like calcium and magnesium. It seems like the device might not be effective in those situations, limiting its use to basic household tasks. Have you found any other solutions that work better for managing high TDS water? That does not work if you have high TDS especially if your water is high in calcium and magnesium. It's just good for washing dishes and taking a bath.
@@HolicCreation you separate a water softener and then reverse osmosis filter for drinking water purposes only. Choose a pipeline for drinking water to install this setup. It is expensive to maintain if you want to use softener for the whole house, but you have premium quality of water when you take a bath, wash dishes, and laundry. That way you will never buy drinking water again. 😊

Food approved plastics are always advisable
Absolutely, using food-approved plastics is always a smart choice to ensure safety and avoid contamination. Do you have any recommendations or tips on the best types to use?
Excellent video, lots of ideas for water Purification, Can I ask that when you add Text to some items like Carbon, sand etc you keep them up longer so we can actually read it, trying to rewind and get the caption is hard, Also what was in the Yellow containers you poured into the bottles on the roof, and finally how did you start the Syphon from the big blue barrel into the water container and Bottle. ? Thank You and well done.
Thank you very much . Are you talking about idea number 6? If so, then the yellow bucket I mixed with colored water (yellow) would show the audience how pure this device can produce water. It would work on the principle of ''evaporation of water''. '' . When the water is pushed into the container, we just need to open the valve and clean water will be in the cup ready to drink.
@@HolicCreation Thank you, then maybe just mention (Text) what you pour in.
I have this in my house and it's actually good. The water was clean and taste surprisingly good. But the problem is you gotta clean and change your filters every other month or you end up generating bacteria in your filters. The hustle and time for maintenance? Definitely not worthy at all.
Thanks for sharing your experience! It's true, maintaining these systems can be quite a hassle. Have you found any tips or products that make the maintenance process easier?
@@HolicCreation Soo, I made 2 sets of this 3 filters (where we put the aggregates and stuff) I did put Tee tubing so I can redirect the input, so that I can dry out and clean one filtration system while using the other. But man, the effort on maintaining it is not really worth my time. I end up abandoning this thing and buying an easy to maintain filtration system.

Basic idea is fine but the materials need to be water safe. The plumbing needs to be water tight, there's no way those tanks and piping would hold water. Leaks everywhere. Also would only be beneficial if you had a steady water flow. Any standing water would gather bacteria.

Geotextile fabric:
Advantages: Does not contain toxic chemicals, durable, has good water permeability, effectively prevents sand and gravel particles from mixing together.
Uses: Often used in water filtration systems, soil and environmental protection.

There is no difference between gray and white pvc other than thicknesses (the schedule number) . Grey pvc is used for electrical conduit, black for septic and white for potable water here in the states. Grey actually has better uv resistance than white (which should always be buried), and different colors are used to make sure potable water is not mixed with anything else.

Do czyszczenia rur można użyć węża wysokociśnieniowego. Thank you for watching! Yes, periodic filter cleaning is important to maintain system performance. You can flush water through each filter for regeneration if the filter becomes dirty. Do you have any difficulty cleaning the filter? I'd love to hear more about your experiences!
Believe it or not, this is illegal in some US states because you do not own the rain that falls on your property. Insane.
That's an interesting point! Yes, some states have regulations around rainwater harvesting. It's always important to check local laws before starting a project. Thanks for bringing this up! Do you have any experience with rainwater harvesting in your area?
Im surprised you didnt use charcoal or some other kind of carbon filter added in there somewhere and shouldn't you of use a gasket for the in and out lines just to give them a extra seal?
I did it at 07:50. Did you use a rainwater tank to reuse it like part 4 in the video? Thank you for watching the video and have a nice day!
Coal is used...
Drink water in Thailand is very cheap, 1USD per 30 litre
I understand that, it's great that Thailand always has enough water to use. Your Songkran Festival is great! I really want to come and attend once 😂😂
What about back-washing?
Thank you for watching ! A filter should be cleaned every 6 months to 1 year. You can replace it or simply clean it by reversing the water flow.
I find that the grids for retaining leaves and other organic waste on the roof are too rudimentary. A stainless steel grid should be installed at the entrance to the downpipe, to retain the smallest organic deposits, or even large insects, rodent corpses or even small birds that could block the pipes. I wonder about the need for large particle sizes for filtration. What is the point? Given the fluidity of the water, it passes through too easily without much effect. I would have rather seen increasingly fine particle sizes of different sands (as seen in treatment plants, such as the one I visited as a civil engineering technician). The same goes for your pieces of coal scattered in large blocks (the water that unfortunately passes next to the blocks will not be filtered, and has little chance of being filtered properly, even in a closed circuit). And finally, for maintenance (replacing sand, clay, carbon) wouldn't it have been better to have a diameter of 6" to 8" and in transparent section, to see the state of degradation of the contents of the filter? Or even manufacture it in different interchangeable cartridges? So be careful because in the actual configuration, it seems to be that your system not properly filter the water. But bravo for this video which opens up perspectives...
Thank you for your thorough and insightful feedback! You raise excellent points about improving the filtration system. Using a stainless steel grid and incorporating finer particle sizes for filtration are great suggestions. The idea of using interchangeable cartridges and transparent sections for easier maintenance and monitoring is also very practical. I appreciate your professional perspective and will consider these improvements for future projects. Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for contributing to the discussion!
Clean water is like 2euros/m³ maybe I keep buying
Of course. If you can still buy clean water easily, you should buy it. My solution in this video is for places where clean water is not available or where water is scarce, or where their water is abundant but not clean enough to use. If you live in a place where clean water is abundant, that's great. Cheers to you and your health.
