A Crash Course in Disinformation

Ed Cooper is author of the book 'Facts and Other Lies: Welcome to the Disinformation Age'. In this interview he explains the terms disinformation, misinformation and fake news. This is a must see for educators who are responsible for educating critical citizens, capable of assessing information on validity and relevance. Especially in the digital information age it is vital that fake news, dis- or misinformation is recognized quickly, I can save lives, prevent war and preserve democracy.

School education is a right for everyone on the planet. And, we should all fight for it. We pay high taxes, and that should be investing primarily in education with good teacher training, appropriate environments, philosophy classes. Finally, we should have where the student manages to form a good character and having good discernment, reflections and their responsibility for choices. What we see in the world today is that education is not interesting for governments. I follow newspapers from all over the world via youtube; and, I see how chaos is in the world. And with that we don't have a bright future and I can't hope anymore. Children may even have schools today, but they don't have quality. And, we have almost illiterate people who cannot understand a text, a sentence. Spooky. And with all this disinformation of all kinds wins. And, grows Fascist governments, Totalitarian Regimes.

Free speech is free speech regardless of whether it’s true or nonsense or whether you agree or not. Face free speech with more free speech. As, an American I wish Russia would have interfered with American elections because they are only symbolic positions for the world banking mafia, which is the real power in the United States.
