this is a stupid question but my ferret is still very young-3 1/2 months-and i’m not sure how to really help her not be bored, i used some tips from your boredom videos but they only work for a little while. my family likes to rescue animals and make them healthy and able to be rehomed to a new safe family. we just got a new cat from the streets and we’ve been nursing him back up to health, which has made money a little tight here recently, also due to family issues, so buying a second ferret for my ferret is not really an option now. i want her to have a happy and fun life even by herself which is of course more challenging, but she stills gets to socialize with other animals. however it does make her super tired after only a couple minutes. she has a 3 story ferret cage (that can hold other ferrets) then she gets 4-8 hours of play time when we are home after school and work and about 6-14 hours of playtime on weekends or school breaks. she has a ball pit, many tunnels, rattle toys and free range of a whole room with her cage in it. we’ll even give her highly supervised time with the dogs who she loves to play and have fun with, but she gets exhausted quickly with them. even through this she still seems depressed and bored. she pulls over her food and water and likes to chew on her blankets, i’m going to make a new routine with her toys and rotating them, and i think there is another room that could be ferret proofed so she can free roam in there too, and possibly getting more hands on toys. i would like her to go on walks too but it’s super cold where i live currently which wouldnt be the best for her so i’m waiting till it gets a little warmer, but is there any other way i could help her without the option of buying another ferret? we have money but it’s saved up for vet bills for now or in the future which we can’t really use, but she can still be properly taken care of and looked after with the rest. so are there any other options to helping her with boredom you might recommend?? :/// sorry for the big question i just don’t want her to become depressed or anything.
That's because she only has one room. To truly free roam, ferrets need the whole home just as cats and dogs get. Just ferret proof your house, ask your parents for help with that. Having ferrets be a part of the family fully is extremely important and extremely good and healthy for them. They're extremely social animals and need to ve with us constantly. That's one of the ways they're joyful and thriving. I'd be bored out of my mind in one room too. Also, you can take her outside. Start slowly with 2 to 3 minutes at a time everyday and increase it every week or even every 3 to 4 days. That will be a whole new sensory experience for her. Put her in a 8 figure harness so she'll be extremely comfy and won't slip out of it. You can put correct temperature warm water in a big, shallow bin for her to play with. Ferrets enjoy water play. Some more then others. You can put a few ball pit balls on it and see if she'll gish them out. Or put something thats water safe for her to fish out and stash it somewhere. Tunnels can be mounted on walls and wrapped around stair railing for a new tunnel experience. My husband and I have 7 fantastic ferrets, and they all love being out and going on trips with us, hikes, parks, playgrounds, book store, etc. and we do these things for them and other things too and they're never bored, just exhausted after many hours of play. I also cuddle and hold and carry them a lot.❤

I've been investigating fake breeders and knew right away what they were. I just wanted to raise a little awareness about them to you because of your following and raising awareness about them over the years as well. I have two ferrets and one unexpectedly died very recently. And I was just wondering how long should I wait till reintroducing another ferret? Or if I even should get another.
