I wish you lived close to me and would be willing to have an apprentice. Your work, design and craftsmanship are just Amazing and Masterful. No, Doctorful!
That is some fine work, nice tool. The way you worked the steel with a hacksaw and files was impressive. Never underestimate the usefulness of hand tools.
that's a really sharp looking plane. i like the fact that you took the time to make it look as good as it does. it looks like it wants to be kissed. I'd go one more step, and really polish that thick metal retainer block on top there and put a mirror finish on it so it reflects a lot of light. spray it with a clear spray. drill that round grain pine grain on the handle and replace it with a piece of darker wood like walnut or mahogany. seal it, and polish it. then hide that plane someplace good., because if i see it, I'm taking it. i wont steal it, beacuse I'll tell you I'm taking it......but I'm gonna take it. can you tell i really like the fantastic job you did. you made me want to make one.
WOW! That is HEAVY DUTY! The sole and chip breaker are STOUT. The iron doesn't look too bad, either. I imagine you won't get much chatter with that. Beautiful work!
Chris Paul Most of the engineers sit behind the desk doing calculations, writing proposals, drawing up plans or doing field testing so the majority of them don't do stuff like that at work. Plus the unions won't allow the engineers to fabricate anything.
Good build. That has got to be the V-8 of Chisel Plane's! The bed, which is the sole being Stainless Steel. Make this one of the strongest I've seen in material. Again, good build.
Beautiful plane. That metal work is excellent particularly when it was done by hand rather than a milling machine. That hack saw work would have exhausted me.
You have created an heirloom which should be passed down within your family. It is truly beautiful and the work you did was awesome. A big thumbs up from the other side of the pond.
Extraordinary craftsmanship!!!!That is a beautiful and perfect cutting plane! For the 1/4 20 tap did you use a 13/64 drill bit? And for the 3/8 16 tap did you use a 5/16 drill bit?.
this is what I love. just jumps right into the video without wasting any time with bullshit like intros and unnessasary information! I hope other youtubers start learning from you :)
Excellent work! I do have a question though, why a hacksaw? Why not an angle grinder, chop saw or Metal bandsaw? So much work. You don't seem to be averse to Harbor Freight tools, and there, you can pick up any of these as cheap as dirt.
Wow, just wow. That's all I can say. SUB'd. I thought your "ice-cream sandwich" marking gauges were really nice, but this chisel plane is even more impressive.
мужик реально крут из дикого колхоза сделать конфетку!!!!! а про ровный пропил ножовкой я вообще молчу видимо у него колоссальный опыт слесарем лекальщиком
man oh man..... wow, you do know your way with tools mr., hope you could make me one, if it's ok with you that is. Tnx for sharing it with the world, tnx bro!!!
Nice! I bet it’s very heavy (twice that of the Lie-Nielsen?). I’m currently working on some large tenons and would like to be able to plane the cheeks along the grain all the way upto the shoulders.
Beautiful piece sir. So refreshing to see something crafted using basic tools. Not a CNC in sight!
I wish you lived close to me and would be willing to have an apprentice. Your work, design and craftsmanship are just Amazing and Masterful. No, Doctorful!
Sou marceneiro a 35 anos acabei de aprender. Parabéns professor.
Always such beautiful design. The forms you use in your planes are stunning. Thank you.
You deserve a "Like" just for all that hacksawing and sanding! Nice job.
japon kizi
Very nice job....try burnishing the wood with a piece of dry twig or branch.....rubbing hard makes a finish that needs no varnish.
thanks~
That is some fine work, nice tool. The way you worked the steel with a hacksaw and files was impressive. Never underestimate the usefulness of hand tools.
Here i was thinking i had found all the awesome woodworkers on youtube... Someone who quietly sings while they work is bound to make poetic pieces!
Not just nice, it's very nice.. brilliant video and craftsmanship sir je

You can make enough
Very nice ❤️🙏👍
just goes to show you do not need expensive tools to create , very nice plane
WOW! That is HEAVY DUTY! The sole and chip breaker are STOUT. The iron doesn't look too bad, either. I imagine you won't get much chatter with that. Beautiful work!
As always another work of art. I hope one day you'll post a video of all your hand crafted tools side by side. Keep the videos coming!
Completely amazed by your skill and craftsmanship 🖒
Very good amigo it. Nice hand plane
Excelente! mucha atención en los detalles, felicitaciones. Saludos desde Argentina
you sir are an inspiration and true master of the craft.
Outstanding work Young. You're a very talented person!
I have been an engineer for 26 years and I still can't cut that straight with a hacksaw. Top man.
Chris Paul

Very well done, nicest piece you have made yet.
So nice!love to see that you only use a few Tools to make this beautyfull things! dont ask for use just enjoy to look at! 😁
Beautiful art piece
Wonderful job! Congratulations
Excellent craftsman! I'm too old to use a hacksaw for that, switched to a portable band saw a few years ago.
I love it! That stainless is so hard to work but worth it. I always appreciate the irony of using power tools to make hand tools
Except angle grinder... make it pain way with hacksaw.
ironie of using handsaw on such steel quality ? try it
Michal Rimmerak ˋˋ
like always....beautifull work sir

awesome !!!fantastico !! Υπεροχο φανταστικο !!!
Very nice! Why don't more people "like" this?
Beautiful plane. That metal work is excellent particularly when it was done by hand rather than a milling machine. That hack saw work would have exhausted me.

Really enjoyed that thanks for sharing. You have some patience with a hacksaw haha 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
lol, I was thinking I would have made it the width of the stock haha
А я уж думал что такой инструмент только у меня в голове создан, оказывается есть материальный экспонат! Хорошая штука!👍
That's a work of art, and so much ingenuity. I bet you go through more hacksaw blades than most :) awesome work
Thanks for share your knowledge.what steel you use to make the blade?
I bought it at Home Depot for about $ 2.95 three years ago.
Very nicely done
very cool what other uses does this plane have?
check it

Thanks for showing, beautiful plane
Great job.Even with a milling machine and metal cutting bandsaw,I prefer not to use stainless unless I really, really need to.
You have created an heirloom which should be passed down within your family. It is truly beautiful and the work you did was awesome. A big thumbs up from the other side of the pond.

True craftsmanship, well finished excellent work!
when making plane irons and chisels, what kind of steel is best?
I like O1 tool steel the most in my case
thank you for the uploads and the response...been learning alot. btw, where can i go to buy steel for making my own tools?
ficou muito bom vc faria um para mim
Extraordinary craftsmanship!!!!That is a beautiful and perfect cutting plane!
For the 1/4 20 tap did you use a 13/64 drill bit? And for the 3/8 16 tap did you use a 5/16 drill bit?.
1/4 = 7/32, 3/8 = 21/64
Thank you~
Awesome! Serious hacksaw skills...and patience!
thanks~
Thank you. Gracias. Fantastico trabajo Fantastic work.

The harbor freight is strong with this one.
Great job on the plane. Your skill is top notch
What steel are you using Young Je?
I used stainless steel,
Thank you so much. you have inspired me to make one for myself.

Hello, I love the result. Do you sell them online ?
Excellent work! I do have a question though, why a hacksaw? Why not an angle grinder, chop saw or Metal bandsaw? So much work. You don't seem to be averse to Harbor Freight tools, and there, you can pick up any of these as cheap as dirt.
perfect and beautifull.Very nice job!!!
Thanks~
My first time seeing something like this. Looks good and i think it will be very useful
very good. What metals do you use? They are made of fast steel
Nice job. Would that be good for use on iron on edge banding.
Инструмент очень симпатичный, но редко применяется. Обычно стамеской взял да срезал.
Genial, nada que ver con la prestigiosa marca St...y saludos cordiales desde Barcelona Catalonia
should invest in a bandsaw lol. Nice work
nice tool, looks well weighted.
Wow, just wow. That's all I can say. SUB'd.
I thought your "ice-cream sandwich" marking gauges were really nice, but this chisel plane is even more impressive.
