- MotoMan takes a Middle East Market Nissan Patrol OFF ROAD on US Soil. As per his usual ‘wheelin’, he starts with a fully equipped model - this one the Nissan Patrol LE fitted with the 400 HP 5.6 V8 and about every piece of kit you can imagine and proceeds to climbs dirt hills, pull the old frame twist test and even go fording small - well, man made - rivers . . .

Such a foolish reason! "in USA we have good roads so we dont need the Patrol." Well in UAE the roads are even better and we have Patrols here.

I agree . . . LOVE the way the Infiniti drives but if I am being honest . . . MUCH prefer the front end of the Patrol.

Umm... we really dont have to cross a desert to get home here in the UAE or anything we have better roads than the US and most other countries so yeah not really a valid point my friend...

OMG the reason the US doesn't have Nissan Patrols is that they have roads while the rest of the world drives on dirt and rocks and have to go through rivers every day to get to work. I'm sure their are Americans who live in rural areas making a living on farms and have to drive on dirt roads to get from A to B on a daily basis. I'm sure their are Americans that love to go camping out in the wild country to do a spot of fishing or hunting. I'm sure their are Americans who enjoy going four wheel driving. I wouldn't want the Nissan Y62 I'd want the Nissan Y61 model.
Y61 is better off-road
That "nice road" excuse is stupid. Why are main off roaders like jeep wranglers, land cruisers and range rovers able to sell well in USA but not patrol. Patrol would be a cheaper alternative than QX80 which people would buy.

Gadamnit nissan we want the patrol in north america!
Now, make the parts available for the Armada that makes the patrol so capable like the rear locker- Armada wouldn't make it through there without jerking stopping and rolling backwards anytime a wheel started to lift or spin
I don't understand why Nissan didn't make this the new Armanda when the Infiniti QX was released because the were essentially the same thing.
This car's direct competitor, the land cruiser, is sold in the u.s, though not succesfully. So there could be a case for bringing it stateside, especially to compete with Chevy Suburban. Being from Africa and having seen it in action, it's clear though that this vehicle is among the kings of the off-road!!

I've been to many events there, including History Channel's Top Gear USA (which I've been shown standing behind Tanner, Adam and Rutledge). They should really make it into some sort of recreational park, including an ORV pit and rally track. #offroadboner

I knew the Patrol wasn't available in the us , but I didn't know it was considered a Forbidden fruit Like the European HotHatches! There's a Beige one (& the pickup version of the previous Gen) a couple of blocks from my house.
Thumbs up for them for actually bothering to ship one to the US.

Also, we don't have any rivers at all here :( while we do have miles & miles of desert ... the only off-roading here is on purpose :)

In the UAE you will see probably more than 15 in 5 minutes
um good roads isn't preventing Toyota from selling the Land Cruiser in the US. they just didn't want to step on Infiniti's toes.

DJ E Z Bettz gave you the biggest differences in the film. That said, the EMEA models can be had in lessor versions. Meaning, you don't have to get every option. The one in the film was equipped just like a US Market Infiniti QX80/QX56.

3:53 range Rover can actually ford 29 inches of water, not a foot and a half (18 inches) the same depth would swamp the Patrol.
When will we see new 2015 Nissan Patrol in USA market?! This model is sold around the world except USA, why?!

Thats a lie... it is not selled in the US because it is not a US market vehicle, it doesn't look like what US people look into a full size SUV, people in the US, same reason Montero is not selled anymore on the US market and many other vehicles. I live in Central America and we have good roads but people just love this 4WD SUVs even they are never going to need to use that 4WD power but people demand this because our market is more on this kind of vehicles, IT DOESNT HAVE TO DO WITH THE ROADS
That's why I love the Philippines they sell Toyota Land Cruisers, Nissan patrol and Mitsubishi pajero. And they have the Toyota Julia the best pick truck ever

I have the 2014 model which has a face lift for the middle east this patrol in the video has city option package , which include this bumper , without city option package u get like 70% better approach angel , in my country this car literally destroyed the land cruiser offroad
Good point - Chevrolet does a similar switch up of Approach Angle for the US Customs & Border Patrol Tahoe fleet. You can see it in this other off road film of ours: 2015 Chevy Tahoe OFF ROAD through the National Forest to Big Bear Lake, California

I WISH . . . But sadly, don't think it's going to happen. If I am reading the tea leaves correctly, I believe Nissan/Infiniti looks at it this way: The Infiniti is plenty for the US market and there would not be enough demand for a version of it that is more capable off road.

Nissan's equivalent to the Patrol is the Armada.

Patrol and armada are both production vehicles, USA does'nt get the patrol but it does get armada, middle east gets both the patrol and the armada

actually they are almost exactly the same, just changeed the emblem; BUT THE DIFFERENCE IS PATROL HAS REAL OFF ROAD SUSPENSION！！！
