@@02nupe Maybe not but it was one helluva lot more entertaining than this pick and pop a three BS that we have now. One of the most boring NBA Finals on record and I feel that unless the NBA quits coddling the offensive stars and letting some defense be played it will continue to become like what the NBA All-Star game is these days...a JOKE! I love the NBA and we have some great players, not knocking the ballers, just saying that you gotta allow hand checking, allow the elbow into the back of a guy posting up and stop all the illegal screens that are opening up these threes. If they don't want to do that then maybe limit the number of three-point attempts per team per game. Say limit each team to 20 three-point attempts per game and say 3 in each overtime if needed. That would help to force the players to work on their mid-range, and post-up moves and it would show the thing that made the NBA famous and that is the size and athleticism! You see if you don't have all the three-point bombs they will be forced to drive more and that is where you get the amazing plays, dunks etc. that helped to make the game the most popular in the world. Look at highlights from the mid 80's to say 2010 and then watch from 2010 to current and the level of excitement today is nowhere near what it used to be. Nowhere near. Just my opinion to each his/her own just stating mine. I have watched and played hoops since I was about 5 years old and I'm now 58 and the game is special to me. I hope the NBA can save itself. Time will tell I guess.
@@Methadone4Life I hear you. Time will tell. Ppl often forget as much as revisionist history tries to say otherwise, ppl complained back in the day about lack of offense. The league will adapt and adjust and those of us who love the game will need to do the same. While it’s fair to critique to a degree, one thing I remember from my youth was old heads always complaining about young ppl and I never wanted to be one of those types as I age. Respectfully of course.
There will never be a more dominant layer cover in life God does not duplicate might be another player with one thin or another but now t all together Ike mike love you
they traded Eddie to get Glenn Rice. Eddie and Kobe played together 2 seasons, 97 and 98. I think both could've played under Phil due to Eddie's defense. But Van Excel, no. Phil would've benched him. He probably would've welcomed the veteran NVE who would come in for clutch buckets, but only a few minutes in big games.
Crazy that both Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson made their beginning season comeback this year.
People forget how good Van Exel was.
He was a little bit above average
I didn't
3:57 did you see how MJ had so much control of the ball. His palm grip was impeccable.
Michael was so good. GOAT
Tupac was at this game
Wow... I remember him talking about this game in a interview
Facts what a time two goats of they own departments
6:14 the Chicago Bulls are 41-3🥶
The real NBA
It’s still the real nba. #cantStayStuckInThePast

I miss them too, nba doesn’t suck though. It’s in good hands.
See they had trade Eddie Jones who is grossly underrated in order for Kobe Bryant to play
