- The La Vigie Paramin Lookout launched in the midst of the power outage that affected the nation recently!
An already popular site for locals, what was once known as the "Cell Site" by the Paramin community has been given a $3 million facelift and has been officially declared a tourism site by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture.
The workmanship is a testament to the artisans, craftsmen and contractors in the Paramin area.

The scenery and site are really stunning. 1. Hope it's maintained and managed well. 2. As it's a nature site hope no loud intrusive music and wild party allowed. 3. Hope there is some information on site showing the history and heritage of Paramin.

@@75ss @Trini Surfer, Hi Shiva and Alan, is the security more for the property or the people? I'm looking to visit Trinidad, and the US State Department has an advisory to reconsider the visit due to crime. I hate to see this advisory as this lookout has such a great view.
It is really beautiful and yes I agree that no loud music should be allowed....it will upset that great , peaceful ambience.
Hope the locals out and in the area can maintain they beauty that they see..Keep it that way dont litter or deface it,keep it the way it is.😉

Visited on Wednesday ... loved the mist in the mountains, clear blue skies, brilliant white clouds and blue-green waters. Sincerely hope the appropriate maintenance work is done in a timely manner

I real urge people to use this route and avoid driving through Paramin unless using a tour guide as it can be a very dangerous drive if you do not know how to maneuver the sharp corners with step drop offs. Lovely video and explanation of how to reach to the Lookout.

Without a doubt a pretty penny well spent for the build of the Paramin Lookout... except NO dollar$ spared towards DIRECTIONAL SIGNS on how to get there. The 'local and foreign tourists' would have to deal with the trini colloquial form of direction ... 'drive straight up so til yuh reach by big a mango tree, then look for a lil wooden house wit some chirren playing in de yard etc' 🤔.. Come on Trinidad and Tobago Tourist Association doh do dis ting 1/2 way nah😔

my uncles and brother worked on this place, only got to visit it this year and I'm from Paramin.
The views up here are so picturesque even at night.
And from the lookout there there's a like a small beach down below, I've never been but my mother and her siblings and cousins tell us about it all the time, would love to go sometime.
The small beach is called Saut Deau
I believe that's how it's spelt, pronounced show-doh

After seeing this video, I was in TnT over the Easter weekend 2022 and was sooooo disappointed that after making my way to paramin, access was closed until 28th April. Anyway, hope I will get back there on another visit.
