Going to all 4 nights of Maverick. Hoping for better crowds than what Terre Haute had earlier this year. Don't sleep on some really good racing during this. Go see a race this weekend everyone.
i would but I got a scratchy throat, and need to save for the long trip to terre haute for the summar classic, on the peak day of summer the 4th of july, and at least they are having more then a few shows this year there they have not had a schedual of races like this for a couple of years from what I read, may be the only time I see a race there its over 3 hours one way and driving back even from indy is a tough haul to do alone, but wanted to see a race there at least once in case it dissappears, wish we had at least one more dirt half after all ohio has several, though we used to have the state fair in indy but we know the story about its surface change and closure as an auto racing track.
@@manga12 I'm lucky, within 40 minutes of LPS, Paragon, Bloomington and Terre Haute. Joe Spiker has done alot with LPS, Bloomington and Terre Haute.
@@ezduzit4009 yea I dont want to see any more go away, but in the north aye we dont have too many tracks left, we lost gas city, the owner closed southbend, and montpieler is not running this year so far, and heard roumors the owner of angola wants to sell it off to someone that Will close it, supposedly someone wants to buy it to keep it going but the current owner is said wants it to be developed but dont make much sense, we still got though kokomo and circle city, and maybe by some mirical gas city is reopened I am sure montpeilier will return though but dont look like we will ever see another track built in the north half of indiana we are loosing too much land to development, jobs are good and all but we only need soo many housing addtions or warehouses, unless one of the fairs or horse tracks wants to allow auto racing would be nice if we could at least get one around fort wayne again beside indoor at the collasium or the auto cross in the parking lot there or the university pfw a bit over a 1/4 mile from there, I do hold out hope one day though we get a dirt track at irp or the one at turn three at indy motor speedway gets expanded enough for sprint cars not just midgets or they somehow run a race at horseshoe casino in shelbyvill, its a dirt mile a flipping dirt mile, but needs a wall and catch fence around it seating too but those can be brought in.
@@ezduzit4009 Don't forget RedHill Raceway a nice high bank 3/8th mile track. Usacs will be there July 3rd and then at Tri State speedway.
So since Justin didnt tell us why Terbo didnt get 4 in a row, i will...coming to the white flag in his heat race he recieved a dirty slider that didnt clear...ended up backwards under the white flag...came back to finish forth to make the feature..started 14th only got 7th on a rubbered up track😮

Legitimately, I believe it’s just a reference to the Top Gun movies. It’s Kevin Newton’s series and I’d imagine he just really liked the name

He sure did.. Same car count as the High Banks.. Was at Husets and watched him a few weeks ago, and there’s no passing!
And honestly it’s all around a better format for Jacob..

Weather issues probably isn't helping, plenty of other racing going on with no threat of rain. Also a chance for a break for some guys. Husets just isn't the track to have a payday like this if I'm being honest. Was a pretty good feature last night but so many times at this place, they run a full re-work before the feature and it either A. takes rubber or B. is so heavy that it's mostly 1 lane for most of the race. The track just doesn't lend itself to what a 250k to win show would most likely be.
This is exactly what I was going to say. The facility is awesome. The actual dirt struggles at times to live up to the event.

@DIRTRACKR was hoping you'd discuss the event points system as it seems a little broken. Feel like Knoxville is still the gold standard, though it helps the track is typically better to pass on during heats. Narrowing the qualifying points gap and then having large point drops where your invert cars are starting put is really a mistake IMO, especially with how narrow Husets can be in early heats.
Seeing Balog start two spots ahead of Kofoid after qualifying 12 spots lower and losing a spot in his heat while Kofoid maintained seemed a little ridiculous. I'd hope they review before Friday but it seems doubtful.

WOO have put 1 car on the podium last two races with HL drivers winning both. Last Friday there was 1 WOO driver in top 7 and that’s with Larson breaking.
Convenient that you don't mention Sheldon blowing a tire or "breaking" with a podium spot in hand.
I think the points format keeps some teams away. I dont like it as a fan. I also dont think 55 cars is a low car count.
Name one team that stayed away because of the points .

Hard to understand why a new fan would shell out 300$ a year to watch the outlaws lose to HL drivers.... WoO seemingly stuck in the past
I mean your the one making it about that. They lost to other really good race car drivers. Not sure if your new to racing but this happens every day. It's a hard sport to be consistent. Both series have some absolute phenomenal talent and only a fool would resort to high school like drama when it's such a good time to be a sprint car fan.

@Trackratz-zl9di I mean I guess if your interested in the smorgasbord of stuff on there. For me I only watch Dirt racing and mainly just got it for HL. I'll occasionally watch some of the Lucas oil late model stuff. But that's just me personally.

I'll tell you why they have such a low car count at h u s s e t it is a go-kart track if that was a bigger track yes the track is too small
Jacksonville is a 1/4 mile that didn't have problems getting cars.
55 cars is not a low car count.
I agree. The guys that can't drive very well except when they can flat-foot it don't want to go to a track where you have to actually drive.
I like they don't just do 1/2. More action, not as spread out.

I think 3/8 or 4/10 is the best size for 410's or Late Models.
The format for this rate sucks. Inverts punish racers for qualifying good. There's not a lot of passing at Husets. There's some, but not a lot.
I'm not sure if we watched the same race last night cause all I seen was guys passing each other like they were on the interstate.
