Thank you for uploading this. Watched this show many times before it went off the air in the early 90s. Back in 1995-96 they re-ran half of the episodes but only did the part 1, now finally 20 years later my bro and I can watch part 2. Thanks again.

I grew up with this show. It aired on Nickelodeon and PBS in America.
Never realized it was a show that ran 7 seasons, but 121 total episodes go quickly when you run 5 shows a week when it went into syndication. No wonder it was the same episode half a year later.

I grew up with this show. I distinctly remember this episode, and practically yelling at the TV because when Muffy in the last episode moves the piano, and doesn't even see the plaque, we were like, THE PLAQUE LOOK!!! And yelling for Muffy to come back and look at the wall lol.
It's too bad that the TV shows today are junk. Back then, TV shows like this taught you things, and they actually had worth and value.
In the episode guide, Schumin mentions that Muffy is playing a few notes on her piano as the episode begins. I always thought that was the CLOCK chiming on the half hour.
The one episode that I like the most was up here on UA-cam and now it's gone. It's where Jeff and a lady are dancing with two monster's a dragon and a yellow looking monster and that episode will always be embedded into my memories.

It was a Canadian show. Maybe that's how they dressed in Canada.
When I was very young I remember seeing a person walking by that window in the elevator line at 10:57 which made me think there was a ghost in the elevator line.
Could be my imagination, but at 24:45, if you look carefully, it looks like Jodie mouths an F-bomb when the taxi doesn’t stop to pick her up!!! 😂

I’m very surprised to learn that TXL is not only the computer friend to Sam Crenshaw, but she’s also the one introducing each episode of today’s special and in this episode relaying to the viewers what happened in part one of our story.

If I was Jodie I probably wouldn't of put the picture under that coffee mug at 26:45 even though I'm sure her boss saw it since the secretary was probably taking the coffee mugs to the boss especially Jodie didn't know what the secretary was going to do with those coffee mugs. Plus, I have a feeling that the meeting the boss was having which the secretary said was about selling the store away to someone else. Also, seeing the time from 26:54-27:01 probably meant that Jodie was sitting down until 10:00am which meant it was too late where 10:00am was when Jodie saw her boss when it had to be before 9:00am. Unless Jodie was with her boss from 9:00am to 10:00am.

Between Jodie and Sam, Jodie should have been more sad about losing her job than Sam because Sam retired from the merchant marines and didn't enjoy his retirement. So maybe Jodie could have said from 3:37-3:38, "Sam, you could enjoy your retirement time a little longer until you find another job." On the other hand, Jodie was the one who was sad about not having a job where Sam showed her in the newspaper about an ad for a display designer which Jodie applied for and got and Sam said he wasn't enjoying his retirement and wished he could work there where he learned about the security guard job which he applied for and got and was interested in it even more because he got to wear a uniform like he did in the merchant marines.

It may not be the end of the world, but Jeff may turn back into a mannequin, and that's not really good.
You know this could have been the Perfect Series Finally for the show, instead of the Season 3 Finally. Now I’m not sure if that was the intent and some time between the Break they decided to order at least one more Season? But regardless I didn’t realize it as a kid, but watching it now really Breaks My Heart as I feel the same way as Muffy does when it comes to Goodbyes which includes the Series Finally’s to my Favourite Shows. Which by shear luck or not so luck just last week as of this Comment Wednesday to be exact, one of my Favourite Shows Ended. CW The Flash, and it’s not just an end to a Show it’s also the end of a Universe the end of an Era. An Era and Universe called the CW Arrowverse I miss it already thanks for all of the memories. 😭😭🥺🥺

Yes! There were more viewers from the states than from Canada even though it was a Canadian show, all thanks to nickelodeon (at least 25 million)

I just realized that Jeff(the actor) had to keep himself looking exactly the same during the shows entire run, including keeping his hair the same, his weight and facial hair since he was playing a mannequin.
In Hats and Snow his hair was long. In 1981 and part of 1982 his hair was short. It grew slightly longer at the end of 1982 and then in 1983 his hair was long again and it stayed that way until the series ended in 1987.
That's not as easy of a feat as one would think, especially during times when information about maintaining weight wasn't as available to the masses like today via internet. I hope those royalty checks are still flowing in if this show got sold to other markets besides PBS stations in the USA.

I just realized something! Jeff pretty much traveled to the department store without Waldo, and he had his hat on and was still alive, right? So, why does "the magic" forbid him from leaving it again later?

The Mind Of B he wasn't fully alive then. After he got there he was made more alive and well the price for being more alive is has to stay in the store
The show has shown us that Jeff can go out of the store with the hat on. He did this in ``Storybooks'' and other episodes.
Yep - Jeff can leave the store through magical means, such as in Adventure, Storybooks, and Buttons. However, Live On Stage demonstrated that if Jeff leaves the store through ordinary means, it's back to being a mannequin.
Well he also left the store in ``Live On Stage'' he hid in a box and was a mannequin. Waldo the Magnificent was reluctant but he finally allowed Jeff to leave.

So Jeff is able to go into the store alive, but is no longer allowed to leave it without permanently becoming a mannequin again? Even Canadian shows have plotholes!
I suppose that, technically, the spell was not completed when Jeff entered the store for the first time. There were three more spells cast before Jeff really became Jeff.
Unless I am mistaken, this was the final episode of Today's Special.
