What amazes me about their 3 day duel is that they're not even going at it as fiercely or passionately as they could be. As Bari states, Quixote is dulled and jaded out by the monotony of life and has no real desire or passion, but like any "depressed" or 'stagnating" person locked in that stillness, he feels the pain and boring aches every day. Maybe he's not conscious of it, but there is something he lacks in his heart to give his life a real "purpose" other than to just live, no different from any animal. And as we see with his raw might in the finale, he was capable of displaying epic feats of might and raw strength, but he never pulls them out, or at least what he shows here in their duel, or any of the duels that he and Bari share during their time together. On the other hand, Bari hides her true objectives and motifs, even now being still being somewhat of a mystery even after stating that she wanted Quixote to just make a choice and do something because "doing neither is when he's at his most dangerous". I don't know if they'll ever fully reveal what feats she can pull off, but to be able to respond to Quixote's despondency and at the same time, feed him something for a long enough time to give him a reason to be "Don" Quixote. Probably just conjecture but I like to think that a handful of things that Vergilius, the higher ups in limbus company, Bari, Demian, etc. all those factions like to talk about things and events as if they're steering along a narrative and are supposed to play a supporting role to ensure that what must come to pass passes. With the unexplained involvement of Bari in Don Quixote (silly goober)'s backstory, I like to think that she also is trying to fulfill some meta-narrative agenda.
"Steering a meta narrative agenda" seemed to be the kinda... hidden plot? Background plot? Of Ruina, so I don't doubt it at all. (Note: Iori) Also a mirror world Bari literally is reaponsible for the angela bad end ultra library's downfall, so no doubt she's a big deal here too
@@wolfy-woo As far as Ruina goes, everyone's involvement is only concerned with their own personal agendas. Everyone from outside the Library and Angela that willingly get involved with the Library usually had their own reasons and *knew* there was something that they were trying to get out of it or something inside it rather than being "steered" by, as Vergilius puts it, "the great flow". And from what we can tell in Angela's bad route, she's labeled a bookhunter, but from her thoughts about Quixote's stagnation and reluctance to join the war and it's dangers, it tells me more that she's more of a mediator of balance that doesn't really get involved unless there is a genuine threat to the future of "something". That 'something' either being the survival of humanity or things that are so abnormal (hence the Library being an abnormality and the existence of bloodfiends), that if she doesn't get involved, something even worst will happen. I'm not sure about Bari being responsible for Angela's bad route, could you explain that to me?
judging by the series of events in limbus without ruina or lob, anyone dressed in full blue seems to have some overarching objective they're working towards, either by guiding others or pushing things along their own way. we see this with demian, sanson, and the other guy who knows yisang from canto 5, so i wouldn't be surprised bari is like them.
i literally stayed watching them fight for like five minutes straight when i first got this cutscene. the music, the sound design, and the visuals are all just amazing.
They've come so far since Ruina and Lob Corp I'm so friggen proud.
I agree. They truly did amazing things and keep doung even better
@@YanYanicantbelievethistakenffs Can't wait to see how they top this
I mean, they also did a similar thing in ruina, still, I agree very much.
