  • In celebration of #COP27, Emmy-winning filmmaker, Lisa Russell is re-releasing her 2015 award-winning poetry video "Mother's Cry" on #climatechange (feat youth poet, Savon Bartley.)
The film was the first poetry video produced for the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (#SDGs.) After its premiere, it screened at the United Nations three times and was accepted into 35+ environmental and social change film festivals worldwide.
Using the power of the spoken word, the film weaves parallels between the demise of planet earth and an abused woman and mother.
"Mother's Cry" was screened during #COP27 as part of IkonoTV's Art Speaks Out initiative and is being released as 27 NFTs in a Create2030 collection.
The short film was produced as part of Create2030, a growing, international network of diverse, professional artists and storytellers who are committed to using their voices and talents in support of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs.)
