I only recently as of about 3 years found this game, as my first real kof and man is it one of my favorite games of all time now for not only the music, but everything else in it, peak.
I got into KoF thanks to Sakurai getting Terry into Smash. I have Sakurai to thank for introducing me to my favorite fighting game series of all time. I have played nearly every game (I'm in the middle of doing a legacy run through all of the main games rn and I just got done with 99), and have never had so much love for one series. Street Fighter is the only series that comes close (and DAMN close at that), but KoF is something really special.
I think what I love best about this song is underneath you can hear "New Order" providing the bones. Like in XI he lost the battle, but Kyo is back to finish the war.
I feel this is one of the more underrated Kyo themes. I don't hear about it much. but it's one of my favorites. I don't like it quite as much as Yappari Esaka from 14, but it's just a really solid Kyo theme to me.

I can't agree that KOFXIII is the greatest fighting game of all time- but I can certainly say it's top tier. I still feel that 2k1 might have been KOF at its finest, but graphically, sound, and balance-wise, XIII is a new standard to match. I'm upset that the cast lineup has been reduced so dramatically- I would have love to have seen Yamazaki, Jhun, and Lin in his one. I hope they do another Dream Match in this new style so they can bring back old Orochi and NESTS characters as well.

There were only 3 renditions of the card game. They were obviously named "Card Fighters." Match of the Millennium (MotM) was a fighting game made for the Neo-Geo Pocket, and it is, hands down, the best rendition of the fighters, as it is close to perfect.
I'm personally not much of a Smash Bros. fan myself, but I'll give you a basic rundown of why it is. 1. Combos. 2. Frame Analysis, hit advantage, disadvantage, landing lag. 3. Fundamentals; footsies, blocking, dodging, Zoning, all stuff you typically see in a fighting game. 4. Hype. 5. It got to EVO. 6. It has a (rather large) competitive scene. 7. It has an extremely active community. I don't see why people claim it isn't a fighting game when it has whatever a fighting game does have.
Because it's more of a party-type-fighting And many people don't think it's the traditional type Also Combos Are in Every fighting game How is that even an excuse to like a fighting-game
