My uncle always says, "a change is as good as a rest." I think you just proved him right. It was lovely to see you all enjoying your time together there. :-)
Lovely time away for you all. I once stayed in a shepherd's hut on a farm in Wales. I'd gone there to climb a mountain and stayed on a farm that had 120 goats. It was incredible and I loved the small space and simplicity of it all. As always, sending you love and light and blessings xx
Chana I thought I'd write to let you know how much I appreciate your channel. It is a safe place. May God bless and keep ypu, your beautiful family and ways. I am not Jewish but I must be a little in my heart because I always feel better and more connected to my own higher self when I see and hear you. Take good care and glad you made it home safe. ❤ from Phoenix.
(In her best National Geographic voice) Is that the illusive Abba? Rarely do we see the partner outside of the kitchen!! Great to see you all on vacation.
What a lovely vacation. Here in Norway you can rent small cabins almost like that, and my daughter and I have been to several. In my family we also have a cabin in the mountain where it's a bit more space. We used to have all our hollidays there when I was a child. Now I actually live down in the walley from that cabin, and live in a small community of 3500 people, where hiking, fishing, hunting, skiing - things like that is a big thing. When I worked as a teacher here, the children came skiing to school. Temperatures can be low, but all the children are still playing outside even in -4°F 😊
I’d like to introduce myself my name is Karen I am 71 almost 71 years old and I live in Beautiful Central Oregon I recently started watching your blogs and I really love them. The one tonight I watched on your tiny home I could relate with. I live in a tiny home 500 ft.² and I love it. I’m interested in your religion and I love watching the stuff that you believe in with your children. Thank you for taking the time and sharing your life and your family
What a lovely weekend for you and your family! I (now in my late twenties) have wonderful memories growing up of weekend getaways in cabins both with just my nuclear family and with cousins - lots of hikes/walks, games, food, reading - many of the things that you were doing. Thank you for offering us a window into your family life, and for the flashbacks.
Reminds me of a book I found for my children many years ago. It is an old Yiddish tale: " It could always be worse"! They loved my Mom to read to them because she used different voices for the characters. I still have the book!! It's a very good lesson about contentment.
As a fellow introvert who feels very refreshed by nature, this looks like such a beautiful weekend spent with family plus quiet time. I would have been glued to that porch swing with a book (and my allergy pills), looks so relaxing and like a beautiful place to recharge.
Tiny houses are so cool. I’ve been slowly trying to cull out and rid my home of excess… just in case I decide to get a tiny house. I’ve watched so many tiny house videos. Who knew about this park?! Thanks for finding it for us. It will be on my list.
Hi Chana, greetings from the UK. I just discovered your channel. And it was so refreshing to learn about your culture. I’m not Jewish, however I grew up in Golders Green, which has a large Jewish community in North London, England. I was always curious as a child living along side Jewish people how they live. As a mum and a Christian, I love your organisational skills and your strong dedication to your faith. You have a natural flair for the camera! Your videos are inspiring and you have motivated me to start my own vegetable batch in my garden and improve my baking skills after seeing you make those delicious muffins☺️. You have gained another follower!
I just wanted to comment and say I have enjoyed your videos any time I watch them. I get a sense of peace while watching. I appreciate how you show your faith with humility and reverence to God. I am not Jewish. I am Southern Baptist but watching you always makes me stop and think of the Lord so thank you very much for sharing your life and faith
I have that exact Ikea table as my dining room/craft room table! Very functional and great when you live alone and have guests that occasionally come around.
I know this is probably terrible to say, but the bloopers were some of my favorite parts! Especially when your husband giggled at you. (Adorable) I’m a little upset work was so hectic I missed your video when it came out, but I’m so happy I watched it.
Im glad you had a short get away. Those are so necessary. When my kids were young, we camped frequently. I developed Rheumatoid arthritis when my kids were 2, 4 and 7. I couldn’t tolerate the pain caused by sleeping on the ground, so we bought a TINY tent trailer. It had a queen size bed , a twin size bed, and a tiny bed that slid out the back. We didn’t sit inside, or cook inside, we only slept in there. There was nothing but beds. No heat, no light. It allowed us to do “real camping” cooking on the fire, dutch oven baking, and living outside in nature. It allowed us to provide access to the lush Oregon coastal Forests and Cadcade mountains. We also camped various places on the west coast, like redwoods, and major rivers, as well as inland areas like Lake Coeur d’Alene, and Lake Ponderay in Idaho. At times we met friends from different states at mid points and did long camp trips, (multiple weeks). I love camping. Cant wIt until i have Grand kids to camp with!
Tiny houses are so appealing - if I was on my own I'd happily live in one. I don't need a lot of space except for, as you say, the books and also art supplies. So pleased you had that break with your family - I think you probably needed that. And as usual I got to share your peaceful prayer time and that lovely music
It looked like you and your family had a wonderful vacation! Just being away from home, having wonderful weather, enjoying family time, and fresh air. That resort looked terrific! You looked very relaxed and rejuvenated.
Chana, when I see you’ve posted a new video a sense of calm comes over me…thank you! I’m so glad you enjoyed your trip it looked so peaceful…I too love every thing tiny especially tiny homes!
Awwh. What a great Monday morning treat...to see you smile and spend time with your family! We actually lived in a tiny house for a couple of years. It was fun. Learned lots about how to maximize space and storage. We just moved a few months ago in a "normal" size house and I feel like I am at Downton Abbey...farmhouse style 🤪 We actually bought an Amish farmhouse and are in the process having electricity installed. Glad you had a fun time with the fam. Have a great week!
I like the tiny house how cozy it looks, nice they had things for the children to do as well.I must say I always would hear how someone's face has a glow to it . I never really saw that until I saw you here on all your videos Your face has the most natural beautiful glow ,you beam when you smile as well just had to tell you that ! Thank you for taking us along on your tiny house vacation. Have a lovely week !
Hi, sweet Chana!! I loved this video! How fun, and such a great idea! As always, the outtakes are priceless. And that smile from your hubby toward you... just beautiful. 💘🫂
I loved this! Such a blessing. I think those were Osage oranges. They are not edible as far as I know, don’t think even wildlife eat them. Horse apple is a nickname for them ! But horses as far as I know don’t eat them. We have some up on the farm. What a great weekend adventure .
This so fun for me to watch. I, too, have needed a vacation and I feel like I can enjoy some of the beauty vicariously. It is so nice of you to "take us along." I have watched many a UA-cam video about Tiny Houses. It was so lovely to see you davening outdoors. I love our weather here today, a true fall day. I aim to pray outdoors too. Appreciate you, Chana.
What a great place to spend a few days. I could so live in a tiny house as long as I had my books and needlework crafts, and family photographs.I like my stuff but I don’t need it, so I could easily purge it. I enjoyed seeing your husband-so handsome-(please don’t think I am a creeper) and glimpses of your beautiful precious children. I can only imagine how peaceful and close you felt to G-d doing your morning prayers outside in a swing. Swinging is like a little piece of Heaven to me. I enjoy it so much. I hope you have a truly blessed week. Blessings, Shawn
Thank you Shawn! Always so nice to read your comments :) Yes I feel the same. I could live in a tiny house but I’d need a lot of bookshelves and I would need a she shed next door for all my stuff 😂
Forgot to mention before, I daven on my back porch most of the time and I absolutely love it! Even when it's super hot 🥵 lol. It's very peaceful and I rarely get interrupted. I also get to enjoy nature while davening and get to enjoy Hashem's creations!
You made me laugh 😂 When you were showing us round the kitchen it was like, over here wine for Shabbat….. then over here wine for Shabbat! I like your thinking. Looked lovely glad you had a nice break xx
Me and my husband lived in an rdv for a year while he was working in a different city. It was hard at first especially with laundry but once we got it all figured out it was nice we saved a good bit of money on utilities. We didn’t feel comfortable with gas appliances in such a small space so we used a deep fryer, and a deep square electric skillet I cooked everything sweet and sour chicken and fried rice to spaghetti it just took a little more time. One funny thing was my dog who is a chow would lay on the dash and look out the windows for hours so when we came home he would be the first thing we say just sun bathing in the front windshield (don’t worry yes the a/c was on the whole time he’s our baby well he’s 12 now). Well I’m happy that all of you enjoyed your mini vacation and thanks for letting us have a look with you. The place looked amazing.
I love to watch tiny house tours, I think they are so cute! I have a fiancé who games and he gets excited and starts yelling, and I have an indoor car so not enough space for us lol. Cute mini vacation what a good idea. 👏👏
Here in Finland we have tiny cottages to stay even winter times. I myself would love to live in those full time! It was nice to see this little tiny house tour of yours! Warm greetings from Pori, Finland🙋♀️
We don't have those in Canada as far as I know but those "horse apples" I recognise as Osage Oranges ...~Maclura pomifera, commonly known as the Osage orange, horse apple, hedge, or hedge apple tree is a small deciduous tree or large shrub, typically growing to 8 to 15 metres tall.
We call those "horse apples" Bodock balls. The thorns on those trees are horrific! It took years to get rid of one my MIL planted. They are not a friendly plant haha
We do have those in Canada in Ontario and Southeastern Canada. Be sure to tell your kids to be very careful if they're cut open they secrete latex which can harm the skin.
I am so glad you got to spend one on one time with your kids. The best part of any family vacation was getting to see their reactions to new environments.
One of my favorite videos. Your husband has a great smile and enjoyed actually seeing him. Preface this by telling you I am old enough to be his mother…but he is very good looking.
@@jaroffireflies I’d never seen one before we moved to the Midwest. We were told they repel insects, but I don’t think that has been proven. Most folks I know use them as decoration.
Hedge balls are what we called them too! I lived with my grandparents in Tennessee for a while when I was very little and we had these trees all over the neighborhood. We played with them endlessly.
One of my daughters favorite games is Guess Who. It’s a lot of fun to play and she gets really creative with her questions. I hope you enjoy playing it with your kiddos
We made our own tiny house compound. Made fires everynight. I cooked over it.. we reserved rainwater. We were on a lake and fished. There were trails we could walk. We cut our own wood. The local gas station had a Laundromat next to it. So i could get a few snacks and drinks as our clothes washed. Each of my children had their own space and my space was large enough for us to all be together. We had the best time ever! I hope to go back. I seriously want to live that way.
My husband and I are at Sugar Mountain in North Carolina. We spend a week here every October. It's a nice condo. Not so tiny. I could stay in a tiny cabin for a week but not forever. What a great time your family appeared to have. Great video.
When I was young my grandmother had a tree with horse apples. We always called them that. You look relaxed and I am glad your family got away for awhile
Never skip on the blooper. They are such fun! I’ve just discovered your channel and it’s very reminiscent of a Roman Catholic upbringing back in the 50’s-60’s. We had different rules in some ways but were very dedicated to them. We all have our traditions. Greet Texas for me. I’ve been away for five years.
I am catching up on your videos and enjoying them so much. I’ve learned a huge amount from you. In case no one answered your questions, perhaps I can help out just a little. Your sons found what some people call Osage Oranges and others call Hedge Apples. While not poisonous, they are very bitter and not pleasant to eat. Hedge apples are found growing primarily in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. Originally their wood was used to make fences. Today some people put them in their homes as the fruit is supposed to repel mice and insects.
Oh my goodness! My family of 6 used to camp on Lake Texoma in a tiny pop up trailer. It always rained, and the trailer always leaked, but it was beautiful. Beware of ticks!Thank you for the flashback!🥰
P.S. Chana, I absolutely love tiny (or small) houses, too. The place where you stayed looks just enchanting. And, the kiddos are wonderful! Rosemarie 💖
You have such a lovely family xx And even just watching your video makes me feel relaxed and as though I have been on holiday too! Lots of people could simply film what they are up to but you are actually able speak to the camera/viewers in such a lovely way that makes us feel as though we are there and that we are good friends x
🌹Chana, this was so exciting to watch. Ty 4 sharing the family get away. Your children are so precious💖What a Lovely Family❤I love Tiny houses so this was a Treat 4 me. 💗💐💗

It's very cute, but not for me in my old age (55 lol) I've become very claustrophobic.🌻

Hedgeballs! Thats a new one! lol I love hoe many different names these things have!!!
@@ImazABoss my kids found them to be great fun :)
@@oxymom2002 I’ve heard a lot here in the comments that they help with bugs too!
The end 🥰🙏🦋🦋 you are absolutely adorable ☀️💜♥️
Thank you 😊
I am so pleased you and your family had a great time.. ithink they are great!
We definitely had a blast :)
One of my daughters favorite games is Guess Who. It’s a lot of fun to play and she gets really creative with her questions. I hope you enjoy playing it with your kiddos
Thank you for bringing us along with you 😍 The cabin was so fun ! Family time is the best. 😍
You’re so welcome! Thanks for watching!
What a fun getaway! Love it!
Thank you for watching!
I *love* the tichel you wore on Sunday! It's so beautiful and really makes your eyes pop. I'm glad you had such a wonderful shabbat in the tiny house.
Thank you so much! That is so kind of you to say :)
That’s really cool!
My daughter loved playing Guess Who.
It’s such a fun game :)
what nice weekend of foamily times and making memoires.
Absolutely:) Thanks for watching Patricia!
I love this tiny house❤️
It was so fun to stay there!
My husband and I are at Sugar Mountain in North Carolina. We spend a week here every October. It's a nice condo. Not so tiny. I could stay in a tiny cabin for a week but not forever. What a great time your family appeared to have. Great video.
That sounds lovely :) North Carolina is beautiful country Thank you for sharing!
When I was young my grandmother had a tree with horse apples. We always called them that. You look relaxed and I am glad your family got away for awhile
Thank you we really enjoyed getting away:)
Texas misses you I’m sure! 💜 Thanks for your kind words and I’m so glad you like the bloopers :)
Thank you so much for the information! I’m so glad you’re enjoying 💜
That looked like so much fun! I’m glad you shared it with us.
So glad you enjoyed!
Super mom ! Congratulations
I especially enjoyed the traveling with food aspect of this video. Every tip is getting filed. ❤
So glad you enjoyed!!!
What a fun vlog with your family 💛 Loved the cabin... I could totally live there 👌
Thank you! I could totally live there too (if I had bookshelves lol)
Fun, super fun video. Enjoyed seeing your family and the tiny house. Thank you for sharing. What a lovely family!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
Oh my goodness! My family of 6 used to camp on Lake Texoma in a tiny pop up trailer. It always rained, and the trailer always leaked, but it was beautiful. Beware of ticks!Thank you for the flashback!🥰
Oh what fun! Yes we have been camping near and along lake texoma for years. It’s so lovely up there!
Great video. Thank you for sharing. ❤️🙏🏻🇬🇧🇬🇧 xx
Thanks for watching!
P.S. Chana, I absolutely love tiny (or small) houses, too. The place where you stayed looks just enchanting. And, the kiddos are wonderful! Rosemarie 💖
Thank you so much Rosemarie! The whole place was really fantastic, so well done! We would definitely go back :)
I believe that game is called "don't break the ice." I remember having that in the early 80s.
I think you are right! I remember playing it in the 90s :)
We call the "horse apples" hedge apples. They are super useful as a spider deterrent for us. They give off some sort of gas that spiders don't like.
Wow I’m learning so much! That’s so cool thank you for sharing!
I also use them to discourage mice in my house
Thank you for sharing! I might stay at a tiny house.
You should! It was a fun experience 💜
You have such a lovely family xx And even just watching your video makes me feel relaxed and as though I have been on holiday too! Lots of people could simply film what they are up to but you are actually able speak to the camera/viewers in such a lovely way that makes us feel as though we are there and that we are good friends x
Thank you so much!!! That is so kind of you to say and I really appreciate it :)
That tiny house looks good also relaxing with the family is awesome 👌
It was a super fun trip and we would definitely go back!
