THIS is what I love in a master craftsman. Quiet, unassuming, but obsessed with getting the details right by keeping the production scale small, with no fear of attempting new heights to boot.
It's just a shame I like my basses like I do my sports cars: sleek, shiny, and sharp.

After seeing this video, I'm tempted to spend a couple months salary on an Adamovic bass.
I am sold on this mans attention to detail. Great stuff!

I think his approach is fantastic, and the quality obviously speaks for itself. One of my criticisms of most luthiers is that they drown customers in choice, and (for example) we're left to guess what the different electronics will sound like with their instruments. It's all well and good to give people a long list of electronic brands, but when we've only heard them in other instruments it's impossible for us to know which one works best. That's why it's better for the luthier to have fewer options and make the decision for us - they're going to know their designs better than anyone. It also helps keep costs down.
Great work Nicola! I'm afraid I love the instruments I have at the moment, but I'd love to own some of yours one day :)

Man, those woods are sublime. Maybe I'm not too much into his designs, but that's some great craftsmanship.

I want to try out one of Adamovic's basses for no other reason than I like how he comes across.

Excellent video, I'm looking to invest in a custom bass and this really helps out. Also, Eric Czar could demo any bass and make it sound fantastic but Adamovic just seem incredible.

This spectacular bass has been used by a young Japanese band called D.A.N. sound so amazing, completely different from Fender bass or Fodera bass but adamovic has got great tone. Thank you for making spectacular instruments.

I have a hollow 33 fretless 5 coming this week and another Adamovic 5 string on order coming early next year. This video makes me feel like a made a good choice going with his instruments.

Im not trying to prolong any ongoing debates about the mystical tone woods or the musical properties of certain woods, however i think its more scientific than that. I believe that the density of woods and their resonate properties can effect how an instrument can sound especially in bass guitars. Porous woods for example Mahogany might allow more resonance to pass through them allowing for more resonance from the strings and would allow the pick ups more ample opportunity to do what they are intended to do. Whereas, Dense woods for example Walnut, and ebony would act more as a barrier or a stop to the resonance. with this being said using these principles one should incorporate the shaping of the woods in such a way that resonance should pass through the softer woods and then be stopped or suppressed by the hard woods working to contain the sound throughout the softer wood. Sound is emitted from the strings it expands through the soft wood then the resonance/sound comes into contact with the hard wood and is then focused or bounced back to the strings and the magnetic field emitting from the pickup therefore containing the sound and holding onto the resonance and building the tone and sustain. I may be wrong there may just be some magical wood properties that simply harry potter the right tone who knows. I for one am keen on trying my theories by designing a shape and contour to put this into practice.
