Afterwards my dad told me don't worry the giants will be back the next year. They got back to the championship but lost again in 59,61,62,63. That 63 season we moved back to Illinois that year I became a bears fan. So the giants lose at Wrigley, but saw Big Sam Huff still that name stands tall for me. Long live #70!

Charlie Conerly was one of my dad’s friends since high school. Fun fact: the QB of the winning team got a new red Corvette Stingray convertible. Charlie’s wife, sportswriter Perianne, wanted that Corvette. They didn’t win that game, but Charlie went out and bought her one just like it the next day. 🏆🏆😼😼

My parents did talk about watching this game they were supposed to out to dinner that night and my oldest brother was a year old and were looking for a baby sitter nobody wanted to come just yet till the game was over. Weeb Eubanks is the only coach to win championships in both leagues. The NFL and the AFL. This particular game had the best coaching personnel in league history. That still applies to this very day.
And to think that at the time the team in Washington still hadn't integrated. There's some players still alive from that time so that wasn't that long ago.

Or the 1950 Championship the Browns won over the Rams 30-28 on a last minute Lou Groza field goal.
