Been going to Mini Kabob for 4years straight. You will never find a place that makes the best Mediterranean food. Hands down the best food ever! They’re very friendly too. The owner (now passed down to the son) talks to his customers like family and treats us like family. If they’re eating watermelon in the back they’ll give some to you freshly cut. Best hospitality you can get at a restaurant! Must try!
Mini Kabob is awesome, but to say it's "the best Mediterranean food" in L.A is a bit of a stretch...there's a lot of Lebanese-Armenian Mediterranean restaurants in L.A that serve high quality food..

I had my first Armenian beer last week- Jons supermaket in Los Feliz has a huge selection of imported Armenian and Eastern European beers for around $2 per bottle.
Survivors of the Armenian Genocide, a lot of them went to Beirut, Lebanon, for refuge, and there has been a population there, so they've taken on and integrated a lot of that cuisine. Armenian food from the Caucasus highlands (current Armenia) is a bit different. No hummous, etc.
Kona Paddler There were no survivors of the Armenian Genocide, in 1914 there were 1.173.422 Amernians in Ottoman territory and Ottomans genocided 1.5 millions of them!! See there were no survivors and Ottoman even genocided non-Armanians accidently if you dumb enough to believe The Armenian Genocide Lie...
As an LA resident, I can confirm that what Mark says is absolutely true: LA is one of the best cities in the world for authentic cuisine from almost anywhere. Even if you don't know where to look, you're likely to stumble upon an authentic restaurant serving amazing food.
I used to work just down the road from Mini Kabob in Glendale. Every time the company bought us lunch, we'd get food from there. It was the best kabob ever. Highly recommend the place. I hope they're still in business due to the whole Covid nonsense.

Here in LA we have everything you could want....LEGIT Thai (some better than what I'm eating in Thailand) in Hollywood and North Hollywood, Korean food in Ktown, Chinese/Taiwanese in SGV, Peruvian in the Valley, Japanese/Sushi in West LA and the South Bay, Lebanese all over, Mexican in almost every 'hood, Salvadoran, Guatemalan in the 323, Vietnamese in SGV and if you drive down to the OC, high end grub, hole-in-the wall grub. Burmese, Chilean, Colombian food is under-represented. The only thing LA does NOT do well is BBQ (no space and permits for huge smokers)
Meme's in East LA has ok BBQ. It's Texas style slow cooked pulled pork is what they say. Kind of greasy. They have a mini-smoker that looks like a little oven. It's on Whittier Blvd. east of Atlantic. I think it's better than the chains. A lot of people like Phillips on Crenshaw. I liked it OK. There's something in Chinatown that opened somewhat recently, and people like it. I didn't really think much of it. People rave about Bludsoe's but I haven't been.

Since my first experience seen your vids a month ago. Im super hooked. You are my evening entertainment. You are so informative and humble. Keep travelling for food. Luv your vids
After a while though, when your hobby becomes your job, the enjoyment gets sucked out. And judging by how often Mark loses his train of thought when explaining things, I'd guess that he's very very tired from many years of constant travel and video filming and editing. I'm sure it even affects his relationships with his family, but he'd never tell us or show us.
Hey Mark, you can speak the language of the Americans! And despite the lack of foliage and jungle herbs and flora, you still manage to survive LA! U da man! 👍

Some of the best authentic HK dim sum restautants in the US are on Garvey, near Beijing Pie House. My grandfather owned a TV repair shop on Garvey, and I worked in his shop every summer when I was growing up. Huge Chinese community there.
Yes, Flushing has excellent Chinese restaurants, but its Chinese population is dwarved by the west San Gabriel Valley. "The San Gabriel Valley has the largest concentration of Asian American communities in the United States. Eight of the ten cities in the United States with the largest proportion of Chinese Americans are located in the San Gabriel Valley. The cities of Monterey Park, Walnut, Alhambra, San Gabriel, San Marino, Rowland Heights, Hacienda Heights, Diamond Bar, and Arcadia contain Asian American majorities."
I 'm from Philly, lived in Malibu for 17 years, So Cal 1964-1992, Your eats in Philly were over the top, especially the hoagies, sandwiches of all kinds the value was much better than California for Italian . Gotta give Cali a chance however, Philly while different is still over the top! Much love! Been to Thailand in 1970s and 80s, even Bangkok Post newspaper ran a story with photo on me July 4, 1981. When you are around San Luis Obispo let me know please, my celebrity private chef daughter will assist you along Central California Coast(many wineries, and food finds).

It's more like 800 suburbs at this point.
Isn’t it fun watching Mark Eat? I smile as big as he does watching every Day! 😁
The only thing LA does NOT do well is BBQ (no space and permits for huge smokers)
in long Beach by artesia and Atlantic Robert Earl BBQ the closest to a Good fresh smoke BBQ recommended
Junk Junk LA doesn't do Italian, especially pizza, much justice either.
Gotta go to the black hood for smoked bbq man! They make THE best bbq chicken and ribs in Compton
Dude LA Mexican food is like next level..watching this made is like goku reaching Ultra instinct.. God level Mexican food
That's why california doesnt support deporting mexicans😂

When are you going to come to San Francisco Bay Area to film? Let me know I’d love to host you at some of our great local eats! 👏👏
Its amazing how mark has the same reaction to all the food he has tried and is so iconic how it never changes.
Why change something if its
Keeping you in the $$$$.
You know how the saying goes if it ain't broke don't fix it🤑😜

Man like Mark just travelled around the world in a day...
It’s amazing, thank you for sharing the experience. I’m only 3 hours away. Got to go and visit those areas. Thanks again, excellent video.
I just love Micah’s mini-appearances! I just think that little guy is so cute!
Mark still not over biryani😆...@5:14 loved it when he was just about to say awesome biryani instead of tacos... biryani love😍
Damn! Your life is amazing man! Traveling and trying various food all around the world. I wish i could be like u.
He is living the best life!! Man trying food for a living I wish!
If you cook it he will come
Bourdain lived a more extravagant life , look what happened to him. Everything is always what it appears to be.
agree with you bro. this is about psychology.
Hey Mark, you can speak the language of the Americans! And despite the lack of foliage and jungle herbs and flora, you still manage to survive LA! U da man! 👍
Teddy's tacos are amazing!!

The cities of Monterey Park, Walnut, Alhambra, San Gabriel, San Marino, Rowland Heights, Hacienda Heights, Diamond Bar, and Arcadia contain Asian American majorities."
tell me which ones? I went to Asian Jewels in Flushing. It was mediocre. Been scouring all NYC boroughs and sadly not found any good dim sum:(
I 'm from Philly, lived in Malibu for 17 years, So Cal 1964-1992, Your eats in Philly were over the top, especially the hoagies, sandwiches of all kinds the value was much better than California for Italian .
Nice video mark, love from Jakarta, Indonesia 🤗
You ate my food yay!!! Made me miss my homeland Armenia.
🥰🥰🥰
They are turkish
They are Iranian food. I think the owner is Iranian but they are they are part of Armenian ethnic group
I swear that mark is the first person to make teddy’s taco popular
Nothing like a vegan garlic sauce on 5 kinds of meat 😂
I guess it's for vegan people who will order only falafels since it's vegan
Alice not necessarily
The US should really thank the immigrants or else they'll be stuck with bland British food.
hay hi Anth long time no see how are you?
Outlaws They wouldn’t have to if the fuckhead British never colonized an already populated area. Destroying land and people with it.
Scots invented fried chicken.
US pays with racism and discrimination
Sadly all comments are true.... and are seen world wide now more than ever with the type of government in the white house
I'm too poor to travel so i live vicariously through this guy and try to get new recipe ideas!
Everything he eats looks so tasty, and adventures
Mark...I’m missing Africa !!! 😌🌈 Loving the current US series as well, but hoping for more Africa in the future 🤗
Vish Vish I agree! The Africa series was magical! Loved seeing the unique cultures and food. I wish he can go back!!
