Hi Danny, This video was just a trailer for the complete training which is available inside the framers club so only contains some snippets from a much longer demonstration.
Hi Samantha, This is only an excerpt from a training video I did with the framer's club. In the full video the complete techniques are shown. I used Japanese Kozo paper and starch paste for the hinges which mount through slots in the backing board. Kind regards, David Schummy
You normally wouldn't iron the Tapa but it is very durable and you could soften any harsh creases using steam from an iron but not in direct contact.. You could also cover both sides of the Tapa with a clean cotton sheet and test iron on a small section to see if any colour is transferred and if the colour is stable then you could iron the piece further but again not with direct contact from the iron. Protect the tapa with the sheet.
You didn't show how you secure the fabric around the back of the foam core.
The video kept jumping and didn’t cover any details I needed

Omg..I wished I didn't waste my time watching this. So many skipped instruction and I still don't know how he did it. So disappointed!!
How to frame tapa cloth
Very cool trailer, how do I sign up to watch the whole thing?
What hinge tape did you use to secure it? That was the most important part and you skipped it.

It’s too bad how this was edited. It cut all the bits we needed!
It is only a trailer for the full training video which is inside the framersclub.com members area.
