Thank you and will forward the video to a group of ex. railway colleagues who were on board the steam train!
_(they haven't returned from Cumbria yet)._

@@northwesttrainsmodels Tom, brief but most enjoyable and well-worth the upload! 👍
Will provide their comments following their return - they are now part of the team operating the preserved Hastings Diesel unit on the main line.🌞

Ex. railway colleagues (some still active - others retired) who travelled on the train reported the following:
_A beautiful day with the train arriving late at Preston, the aircon was not functioning and the coaches interiors were rather 'tired'._
_The 47 at the rear was more often than not providing assistance (not just on the steep gradients) - we were aware on this being in the last coach heading south - not just from the noise of the diesel but also from the buffing at the rear._
_At Preston the steam locomotive was towed back to Carnforth._

Glad there was no freight train running. Your clear shot of Tangmere might have been bowled and ruined, and you wouldn't have been very happy about it. One reason why you should always be on the same side as the steamy. The risk of being bowled is avoided that way. Happy spotting.

Hi Kelly, i now about the risk your talking about, this line is pretty clear at weekends and i went on the opposite side so i could see the wheels, as daft as that may sound lol i wanted to see the hole loco, luckily there wasn't to many people on that side, thanks for watching. Tom
