I'm not sure why, but this summer of wham has made me kind of emotional. Maybe it's just memories and glimpses back at a past that was filled with excitement and possibilities...A really great time that was once and is now gone forever.
1983 Wham concert at the Lyceum in London October. I was 18 and myself and my brother were there.. We got to the front.I I waved to George.. he smiled 😢❤️🙏🏽🇬🇧 Love you George.. never forgotten. You are unforgettable.
@@cliffemmanuel7335 I'm pretty sure I did. It's in a photo album back at my parents house so hopefully it's safe there. I think I scanned a copy of the picture where I was a few feet away from George michael.
Rip my beloved George. I didn't have the chance to see you in a concert but I've always listened to your songs. I love you and I miss your sweet velvet voice. Talented an wonderful human being. I was 14 in 1985, best years of my life
Holy smokes! The live version of this love song is astonishing with that slow and wonderful introduction. Wham captured the sentiment of the mid-1980s with its incredible music.
My first concert at 14 !!fell in love at 12 ❤️❤️. Oakland Colluseum CA - w/ Katrina and the 🌊 waves and pointer sisters- packed with hairspray big hair big shirts and a sea of plaid!!! I squished my way to the front and was in awe of my guys... George Fine AF Andrew dancing around.. never again will there be the decade of our 80’s!! We LIVED!!!!! We saw and heard true Talent!!!! And we had WHAM AND GEORGE MICHAEL.... love you boo!! You are forever loved and missed j’tem❤️❤️❤️❤️
Oh man tall dark hairy n handsome words don't do him justice his beautiful heart passion all around loving person I always wanted to meet him but never got to times were hard for a country girl. S.C. he's a cancer ♋ just like me a good 💓.Forevert love him n his music
Beautiful as the sun with a divine voice, it ruined the wrong sex. George on Christmas Day this year you gave your heart to the Lord. "With a single note I love you and it was true." "Now I've found a real love," the cross I wore to my ear. Your it is "a face of a lover with live. Dear George is true your creativity has existed for a specific reason willed by God, who thanks you because you were a great philanthropist, your music is and will live forever. George are great and fantastic because you told the world the truth, even if it is raw and uncomfortable for many of your life and your love feelings. Dear George, I am convinced that next door and embraced your dear mother and your friend Anselmo, your sweet, sharp and melodious voice in heaven will be combined with that of the angels to praise the Lord who has always loved you and wanted us his fellows on earth gioissimo of your beauty, your smile, your simplicity, your sincerity, your generosity, your talent for creating beautiful songs, your spontaneous way you move, your sincere love for others in your music and your wonderful voice. You were a "great" and you will be missed. I hope that in the world there may be other people like you. “So the words you could not say I’ll sing them for you And the love we would have made I’ll make it for two” (George Michael). George, when you lived your music, your voice was afraid to be won, now that you're dead, afraid of being exceeded. Roberto from Florence I will always love.
George and Wham did a good cover! You are entitled to your opinion but "beyond its original" version. Wham's cover lacks the 70's Soul sound by Ron Isley and the Isley Brothers.
I've loved this song since Make it big.. and have listened to it every day since. . incl. careless whispers and like a baby... love them all!!!! I saw Wham at the Oakland Collesium CA I was 12 and totally in love with George.....my friend adored Andy... I Beggggggged.. my parents to let me go... and forced them to watch Everything She Wants video to show them that they were popluar... I won!!!! Katrina and the Waves opened and then the Pointer Sisters then the gorgeous duo of Wham!!! thanks for this Live version... love love love it@!!
One thing I do not understand is why George Michael didn't indulge a bit more in the WHAM! years. I understand he was much more mature even if very young and ready for a higher level, but WHAM! was more than fund. It was incredible good music. At least they should have produced a live record with all their best, for the fans, for history. Instead I find only know these pots of gold. RIP awesome voice, kind George
George had a great time in WHAM! and he cherished those memories it was more than a band to him it was a friendship he and Andrew against the world always and forever Best Friendsnot even death can break that
Yeah but if he wouldnt have left his band we woulsnt have gotten any of his solo albums, i agree Wham! Was amazing and still is to this day but one of my favorite songs is careless whispers, we wouldnt have gotten that if he hadnt quit Wham! Its to bad hes gone im only 15 right now, wish i was this age back when he was touring, i would have tried to see him 😥 He will be missed.

Who were those four lovely ladies back in '85........have you seen this video, do you recognize yourselves girls? I keep thinking this everytime I watch this clip! 😁
At 22 years old, his vocals were top notch. No doubt our hero George was born to be a writer, singer. Performer and all around gentle soul.
Always love him and forever❤💔
he was a pervert

Whoa ! I'd never heard this live version before. What a great intro. Simply amazing.
I tore my vocal chords at George's opening night at MSG in NYC & my voice was gone before the concert even started! To be 15 again.....He was amazing!
Please bring me back to this time with WHAM! Great music and people! Love 80s!
That fringed yellowish jacket is what he wore August of 1985 Poplar Creek in Hoffman Estates, IL. Never forgot!
Growing up in Champaign during that time. I heard about all the concerts at Poplar Creek and Alpine Valley on WLS. Good times…
My favourite track from the make it big album. Played to death back in the day. I do miss him. Sweet George.❤
love this song... credit to Isley brothers of course but George's superb voice takes it to another level
The piano intro is simply sublime.
80s is the best ever from music to movies.
My favorite singer. I love you George Michael. 😔😔😔💔💔💔💘💘💘💘
I was at that concert w/ my dad...my first one..I was 14. I was in heaven!!
My first concert was George Michael in Lexington, KY (Sept 11, 1988). I was also 14. :)
I would have murdered to see wham that time!!!!

all his live were so great, pretty often better than studio versions of the songs.
Deon Estus, whose musical collaborations with George Michael and Wham! spawned massive hits, died
I loved his debut album when it came out in 1989. Deon Estus was highly underrated as was George.
