Naltuk was selected by Ourea to be her apprentice soon after completing his training. While Naltuk was shocked that such a prestigious shaman would choose someone without any practical experience, he gladly accepted the offer.
After the failed assault on Thunder's Drum, Naltuk was ordered by Ourea to observe the mysterious Control Towers that had been popping up across The Cut. Sometime later, he was approached by Aloy, who was searching for Ourea for answers about the Daemon.
