Well congratulations hope this thing makes it to 1 million miles for you. I have a 2013 KIA Rio that I brought new in 2012 with 6 miles on it. Always be regular with my maintenance and always took it to the dealer for my oil changes, every single one. So from about 60,000 up to about 88,000 miles my engine was burning about a quart every 2 weeks. Needless to say my engine had to be replaced. At 80,000 I needed a new engine😑. So congratulations to you again on your car going this long
If you are asking me then I would say avoid KIA/Hyundai. I know some people have had their success with this vehicle, however, during the period when I first started to develop the issue when I researched the symptoms I was reading people were experiencing the same issues at a much earlier interval than me. Also, a reminder that every servicing (minus a brake change here and there) was done on time and by the dealer and my engine still grenaded on me
@@jayson9363 I will say this though. My original reason for purchasing the vehicle was affordability and I did get about 5 years out of it before my big issues arose.
Unless you live somewhere that is hot all the time I wouldn't recommend the 10W-30. The owner's manual says you can, but you're better off just going with the 5W-20. Just make sure it's a decent quality oil
Well I do the scheduled maintenance for things like timing belt, oil changes and spark plugs. Then I stay on top of things that need repair like brake pads rotors and calipers. And I drive it sensibly.
@@SymbolicBelief sorry I replied from a different account. Yeah actually I learned how to change transmission fluid after replacing the original trans after 250k miles. Since my commute is 100 miles a day I changes trans fluid every year And I recently changed the radiator fluid after 450k miles. The original radiator fluid still looked good. As for engine oil I use Penzoil conventional oil or high mileage conventional.

HI , i am about to buy 2nd hand kia rio 2006 with a 200k miles would you recommend it or should i avoid it?

I have question I had this car, what kind of oíl, I should have use for this car i mean 5w-20 or 10w-30w cause my ride had 113270 miles
It takes 5W20 oil

Oh and I change the oil every month due to my long daily commute
