- A plan to ban those experiencing homelessness in Florida from camping in public places is looking more likely to reach Gov. Ron DeSantis’ desk, who suggested Monday he’d sign it. It came as lawmakers moved the bill through another committee, later in the day.

Ah yes, don’t solve homelessness and greedy people not paying employees livable wages, but just criminalize being poor! So genius
I’m homeless here in Florida all the churches are pimpin us they feed us an give us clothes but no house an they come an ask if we have skills to make it look like there trying to hire homeless people that’s a front to throw you off these guys rack up millions in donation an employ many people with jobs secruity an front desk jobs an free adress for the homeles to get mail mind you we don’t get free housing tho that’s impossible to get but we get access to free mail , free clothes an unlimited supply of food Monday - Saturday which does help homeles but it doesn’t solve our problems we need housing we need to get off the street that’s the problem
Here they go again with the bs got money for free food an free clothes an mail for the homeless but you won’t give out free job training like electrician or plumbing for the able body to get skills so they can find a way to make money to survive this is a low income problem there talking about mental health but won’t give you more than 1500 a month if you have mental health this world is absolutely evil that’s why I got no kids
I always find it absurd you lefties bring up job pay in reference to a group of people who don't work. 🤡
And now he just passed this bill this it is outrageous
@@Beaheadoeverybody It was a good bill to pass. No one wants Florida to look like California and Oregon.
Thank goodness I don't live in florida anymore. First, they deny you a job , then kick you out in the street and say you are a criminal.
Mostly towards whites
Jesus Christ did you even watch the video? Homeless camps are designated and provided to government mandatory care centers. You just want people on the streets.

There are plenty of jobs here. Besides, do you think these people are working? Go somewhere else and play your race card.
Desantis is focusing on legislation that has absolutely no goal of actually improving anyone's life. What is he doing against sky high insurance rates and mortgages? Rampant shooting and crimes, record low salaries? I have lived here for decades and have visited the west, east, and south of FL and don't remember seeing 1 homeless person. I'm sure there are, but we have bigger, actual problems afecting everyone here.
It improves lots of people's lives. No one wants these homeless encampments, including you. Why else don't you invite them onto your property to sleep?
now its illegal to sleep in the woods? wtf?
I love how leftists claim they care about the environment, then argue in favor of homeless encampments. Have you actually seen what happens to the land when you let these bums camp out?
Well were do the homeless suppose to go,, if there no affordable housing.. sad situation that a lot of people don't care. Greed is what keeps people homeless.
Drug addiction and mental health issues keeps people homeless
The ruthless psychopath doesn't care. Watch, he will make them disappear and start a scandal.
Did you even watch the video?
@@nachomom-fk2biomfg lol apparently the right is no longer conspiracy theorists. 🐨🧠
@@nachomom-fk2bi Yes, Florida is world famous for making their homeless population "disappear," never to be seen again. They've been using the Baker Act, a multi-billion dollar industry in Florida, but these are new orders from the Federal and world governments; all part of the plan. If DeSantis is not a Globalist, why is he implementing all of their agendas?
If this bill passes Florida will implode.
Yes, let's just allow this criminal activity like Portland. They're certainly doing well.

DeSatan never speaks of affordable and low income housing. No mention of rent control. Florida has become unaffordable. Move over will have another meaning real soon in Florida as more make their way to the streets as homeless.

I’d say camp out on the Florida Governors mansion lawn!
Exactly thanks Gov Desantas
I guess they’re gonna used as prison labor? How nice (sarcasm)
For profit prisons, kickbacks, greed, more money laundered to heads of not-for-profits and NGOs.
He mentions it so much, no one's comparing Florida to San Francisco. Take care of your state.
poop map... none on the streets just in the drinking water. 🤣
and in our beaches
Set up a homeless park. Alot of open land. Please don't don't box them in.
Desantis will feed the homeless to the alligators. And livestream it if he thinks he can fundraise off it
Why? They won't be able to get drugs if they were watched over in a designated area.

Desantis thinks hes still running for President.
Implement the Global Agenda and run for President as a champion for people? He'd never get away with it.
Definitely something is to be done.
Our whole Country including Florida is turning into a degrading and disastrous situation unacceptable and dangerous.
Late stage capitalism, the 10% are doing better than ever though.
What there should be to end homelessness is the law of if you are the many who are supposed to make sure there is infrastructure, if they do not provide it, they go to jail. Babies are born homeless, and there is no guarantee they will have a home a lifetime. They will be old and not able, they will get hurt, they will be teens, all of these are homeless. But, when they lose a job they are basically thinking about being homeless, and it begins there. So, how do you solve this, make it illegal to operate as anyone in a city office unless they have where the people need to go, and the kindness you give a baby, a newborn. Because humans are PREBORN, by science, and animals. You give homeless pets a home, and not people? When the future reads about this insanity, they will wish to come back to this time, and be able to, and put all of you in jail. You forget that science exists, and think his is crazy talk, until the law of the future catches up with your past.

Apparently most haven't even listened to what this proposal actually includes. I say Bravo. Designating certain areas with running water facilities & near services that can help the homeless & mentally ill is the best I've heard from anywhere in the U.S. Common sense solution.
It's the implementation of these services that people doubt. You know... because they are liars that have no accountability.
I've been trying to get a place to live for me and my son. I work, and I don't make enough money for the cheapest place. So I have to sleep in my car at the beaches I can. Now they are waking me up in the middle of the night and kicking me out. Helicopters flying by 24/7 and kicking me out. I don't know of any design area like they say, to camp. I'm running out of options and the police is constantly harassing me even though I'm not committing any crimes. My criminal record is clean and my job depends on it. If I get one ticket, I will lose my job on top of been already homeless. Not even in the national forest, with so much land, you can even camp. This is not right. The land belongs to the people, not the police. Our freedom is taken away. They don't even help me get a home or even a small mobile home or a trashy studio I could call home. I make about 100 a day, and that's what cost me just to survive, between gas, food and taking care of myself. Not enough to even get a hotel or camp at the cheapest campground.
@@williamriveraortiz3062 Unfortunately it has to go thru the bureaucratic BS before it comes to fruition. What about social services?
@@sharonreilly2202 social services would not help me because I'm making money. .. you see, there is a growing population of people with jobs that are living in their cars. Clean people. The housing prices are going so high, that a single person can't afford a place to live. The cheapest you can find, is $1200, and you need to make 3 times that amount to be able to get that apartment, not counting first month and security deposit. So you need 2400 to move in. Plus utilities. It's impossible when you are making 500 a week. That's $2000 a month. And that's the cheapest, normal rent nowadays is $2,200 a month in Tampa , St Pete and Clearwater Florida.
As someone who lived in San Francisco for several years, I think I was the only conservative in the State of CA and moved back to FL because of family. I applaud the Governor and the Legislature- Florida Parks, open space that you pay taxes for maintenance should be the enjoyment of everyone - not a homeless shelter escapement - Cities with Churches should be helping the homeless, and provide services to the homeless there is a path from the streets back to society. If the homeless person refuses to go to a shelter or service I have no problem with that person being arrested. The notion of victimhood does not pass the bar, enough is enough at taxpayers' expense and these liberal woke that do nothing - Do not turn Florida into CA - and Gov. Newsom's disastrous policies of abetting homelessness is a warning to Florida.

You don't have a human right to discriminate against your neighbor. You want a war that you cannot win? Then criminalize homelessness. The war you will not win are what you call natural disasters TARGETING Florida. Florida had already crossed the line and was on thin ice with its discriminatory practices against our citizens in the community. This now has drawn first blood and I know what's coming and it's total destruction and loss of human life. It's thanks to the republicans and their wayward mindsets. Beware of the flood gates.
The 9th District Court already ruled that these actions against LIVING NATURAL PEOPLE are unlawful and unconstitutional. I guess someone needs to sue greed-saturated Florida into compliance now. No one has the lawful authority to prevent people from life, liberty, pursuit of happiness (accumulating generational wealth,) travel, et cetera, nor do they have the authority to tell a people what those NATURAL RIGHTS should be for them. These are natural rights that can never be separated, for any reason, from a people (supported consistently in law by the US Supreme Court.) I have my max case load already this year, but if DeSantis signs this, especially after giving foreclosed/government-owned properties to Illegals, yes, I'll pick this one up. For anyone who is harmed by this already publicly known to be unlawful action (arrested, harassed, household effects stolen, et cetera,) I will write their Federal claim against Florida for free. Other states and cities have already been knocked down by the courts on this, but Florida is pushing it through anyway? Criminal activity against the weak. Well, we'll see about that. Remember, this also violates the right to travel, a natural right which is heavily supported by the Supreme Court in case law. This is coming on the heels of a nationwide assault on what is being called a "non-recreational camper," which is anyone any "authority" deems to look poor, homeless, fulltime RVer, an easy target, et cetera, on public lands. People are being run out of PAID campgrounds, as in they paid the same amount of money as anyone else for their campsite. Florida conducted their raid on the poor last year in state campgrounds and lands. Rules for these parks/lands, like stay limits, are not being enforced evenly, and a new rule was sprung on campers without warning, during their paid camping stay, forcing them to leave the state campgrounds (a clear violation of contract law.) Arizona started a couple of years ago, with local law enforcement partnering with the Bureau of Land Management. Make no mistake, this is not just about homeless camps. There are thousands upon thousands of fulltime RVers who travel and work on the road who are being targeted. Is Florida going to steal their household effects and ability to create generational wealth to cram them in a tent city or shelter? No. Enough is enough.
Nathan Dell. Recently harrased by cops and trespassed.
@@Thedoorwayhome Thank you. Do you have a city/county, location of trespass? Any additional information would be helpful.
@@deborahhopkinson5243 Yes mam. Titusville Florida. I was sleeping in my van in the parking lot. The night before I slept there without issue. There were hundreds of duck hunters waiting for season open.
So I stayed the next night. No signs visible. No trespass signs visible. No overnight camping allowed signs visible either. You turn right into the parking lot before the Kennedy National Seashore sign. The beach is 13 miles from the parking lot. The guard gate for the seashore is also 13 miles away from parking lot.

Incident report # 2023-15532
Beach Road / east gator creek
Officer Josie P.Clark
Badge # 378
Trespass waring and picture taken at 3:30 am. I have a medical card. Officer stated I smell weed. Officer yelled at partner...he's a felon! After reading my tag.
Ordered me out of van and detained me. He asked if I had any Marijuana. I surrenderd two grams which was confiscated.
Then he spent two hours searching my van. During that time both officers refused to let me use the Porta john nearby.
There is no mention of the Marijuana in the report. I asked both officers why I was not allowed to use the restroom without reply.
Then when he was finished he began to walk me to restroom.
Halfway there he said it's OK Mr. Dell you can go in the bushes. I said really? You actually think I would expose myself in front of Federal Officer?
No.
Please escort me to the restroom.
Then I left.
I truly never saw a sign. There was a lot of construction barricades and I wear glasses.
He definitely violated my rights.
Yet I was polite, compliant and quite. He never cuffed me.
Just outright unprofessional, combined with a bad attitude of harassment and intimidating behavior like placing his hand on his gun and yelling.

Searched van for two hours while refusing to let me use restroom. I was not cuffed. I surrendered two grams of marjauna before search willingly informing Officer there was nothing else in van.
No mention of confiscated marjauna in incident report.
Trespassed for life, picture taken. Then finally allowed to use restroom.
Halfway across parking lot Officer stated...Mt Dell, it's OK. You can go right there in the bushes.
I said really? You really think I am going to expose myself in front of a Federal Officer?
Then I drove away.
I had a passenger in van. He was an old homeless man I was letting sleep in my van. They gave him a hard time as well.
I was polite, completely calm and compliant. There was no reason to deprive me of bodily function. No need to harras or search the van. I'm licensed and insured.
Since you care so much about the homeless people lady let them stay in your house
You must think homelessness can never happen to you. It can.
If I ever become homeless, I’ll move to California. Where they treat the homeless better than their taxpaying citizens.
I will challenge your jurisdiction!!!! No such thing as a statutory jurisdiction! Theres only common law and colorable admiralty💯
Close. There is natural law. Common law is government-created; simply a soft version of colorable law. If you notice in these videos, they are stating that this is a "civil" action (administrative.) They know that they don't have lawful authority over natural people, but they're betting that most won't know that, or know how to fight back.
If anyone here has a problem with this, let them camp in front of your house and sidewalk. You lil hypocrites.

Many homeless here in Florida accumulate an astounding amount of waste where they sleep. It seems like here in Florida there's a thing amongst homeless people to build "nests" of empty food containers, wrappers, etc. all around them. And then it all begins blowing all over the roads and into the waterways.
They need to work
Who are you to tell somebody what they need to do
@@anthonylockhart6120people need to work. Common sense
Many do.
@@blackstar_dy8044 Many people do work. The issue is that either A) The job pays peanuts in a country where living is becoming ever more expensive and B) Finding a job that pays well enough is not exactly an easy thing to do. The job market is an absolute mess and has been for the longest time.
And build a bunch of low income housing. A lot of these jobs that have labor shortages are jobs that do not pay enough to even get housing unless you’re in low income. Because the housing here is very high and if you do not make at least 75,000 here in south Florida, you’re either have to have other incomes or you’ll be considered. Poor. And low income housing is literally a five-year wait. If all cities and towns will have to be required to build all this and provide all the services, I guarantee you many of these places will have to raise property taxes
You have to have common sense and lack guilt to see this for what it is. Great job Governor DeSantis!!

Its a public safety issue. Glad there doing something about this. We usto put them in jail.
