For an easy way to catch rats without killing them, use the Rat Cage Trap from The Big Cheese. Suitable for use indoors and out, it can be used in homes, on farms or in commercial premises. Safe to use where children and pets are present - the trap doesn’t use any poison or snap traps - the rats are simply lured into the trap and are then caught, unable to get out again. The solid top and carrier handle makes it easy for transportation and the galvanised mesh design means the cage is long lasting.
Bought a couple of these now & does a good job. I've caught 🐿squirrels in with monkey nuts in the past & caught 🐀rats with bits of dog food for bait one caught only 5 minutes ago!!!
I've not experienced any escapes & found them pretty reliable so far 🙂

The one I purchased from amazon UK didn't have English instructions and only works 25% of the time during set-up. It's going back to Amazon.

The arm is at the wrong angle...slides right off and can’t even set it!
The plate spring is a thin metal pin that has no power to lift the plate high enough to allow the activating lever to hold, itself rounded to slip too easily. It's impossible to set this up successfully, especially if outside in windy weather. The spring badly needs improving!!
Does this work for mice. I have found that the other mice traps do not work at all, like the big cheese multi mouse catch trap
After I set it up, the door close too easy therefore hard to move it. Sometimes I want to place it in tight area, not possible to set it up on place. Is mine a defect product?
This was good for like the first 12 months and caught many white tailed rats but now they seem to find a way out after being caught? Can't figure out how they do it though, so if you catch one in the middle of the night you may have to release it straight away cause in the morning it may not be in there anymore.
I just saw a review that might explain it. They said at first they were catching lots of rats. But then they say: "We reached a stage where the trap was tripped in the morning but no rat... Being stubborn, I set up a web camera to see what was happening. It seems the smaller rats were getting caught, quietly eating the bait and then departing through a tiny, slightly larger hole in the door. Rats are so ingenious. I modified the hole and now we have no more rats. Win."
Who tip toeing now? Uffffff just use a jump suit wingman to cover the landing while we can make the turtle flat
Struggling to set this trap up. My bait station does not spring up! just falls down. Any ideas ?????
Squash the nose on the light wide me from the left on the back of the turtle to trap the rat but make it into a bone

Karam Sayer please don't be stupid. The whole point of a humane trap is to release the animal back into the wild. Some people have killing on the brain. Have you ever heard of the circle of life? A rat will be killed or die in its own good time but that is not the job of man unless of course he fancies a rat dinner. Man should build up and nurture his family and take care of the environment not kill for the sake of it.

I was thinking more along the lines of Mortal Kombat.
I guess Lion King works.
You go next door, poke-open their cat-flap and open the trap-door. Works every time.
Put the cage in a garbage bag and let the exhaust fumes from a car kill it. Takes less than a minute with an older car.
If you're feeling guilty poison bait say a prayer & give it its last meal.. defeats the object of getting a humane trap to begin with 😬🤪😆
