    Kekht Arakh is my favorite black metal band running at the moment, everything hes done has been flawless the production the themes and lyrics. i can only stomach so many hundreds of bands singing about Satan before it just becomes a homogenized blur of inverted pentagrams and and corpse paint. Kekht Arakh (for me) has been a breath of fresh air in a genre that is close to my heart but at the same time dangerously close to stagnation. i totally understand the people who want to keep shit trve and kvlt, but Kekht Arakh doesnt take away from or diminish those black metal bands that play it by the book. i hope to see more from this project, i'm so interested to see if crying orc will go further down the raw black metal path of try and make an even prettier sound with more gothic influences.

    I had no idea there were memes or controversy surrounding this album. For people that would hate on it or say that it isn't "tru" or whatever bs should be reminded love is one of the darkest and most destructive things in existence! Which regularly drives people to murder, suicide, etc. I think it is a perfect theme for BM, and it was probably one of the best albums from 2021. As others have said, it is a breath of fresh air, and the quieter piano driven pieces on the album actually contribute to the harshness of other songs, instead of detracting from them.

  • @DJTheMetalheadMercenary
    @DJTheMetalheadMercenary 2 роки тому +54

    blending the romantic gothic themes of, well, goth rock with raw black metal is actually a pretty smart fusion in my opinion (not that it matters) though many will lament it's not kvlt though I would disagree in terms of the melancholy/ nostalgia and overall punchy rawness, fits more into dsbm crossover though doesn't really sit in an veritable subgenre, it was a nice listen overall.

    This is a great 'band' - I have both the albums. I love this kind of music - and many other bands from Ukraine, particularly Lucifugum.
    I have been heavily into black metal since 1980 - I am 60 now. What surprises me most, though, is that people are amazed that a woman MY age LIKES this kind of music. I LOVE IT!!
    If you can put me touch with other (black) metal bands from Ukraine, then please do. I might even play them on my (daytime) radio show. Thanks.

    Look I think Ork is just young and I think he's truly starting to find his place in music, he is a solid musician. I think there is a lot of drama around him lately and the label not getting orders out on time so people are angry with him. He also uses imagery that is memeable and honestly other people in ~underground~ bm are the ones making the memes not to mean but all in good fun.

    To be honest I am happy that we got something new and unique for the black metal community. Usually it is all about Satan and Satanism and these days now in 2022, I am not really seeing to many unique lyrics about that, it is all kind of same because all the good ideas and creative lyrics on that theme have been used many years ago in black metal. So seeing something a bit new and unique for black metal is a bit of a great surprise and a change I personally think we needed (I am not saying we should forbid the usual and classic theme of black metal, I am saying that it is good to have a new addition to it). Next to the outcast like lyrics, music that Këkht Aräkh makes is pretty good sounding and I can't wait to hear what more the band can offer. My personal opinion, don't have to agree, I respect. >:D

    I think i prefer when music goes that way tbh. Following patterns and scenes is not being true to yourself. Sometimes experimentation is what is capable of creating some really special stuff.
    Imagine black metal without thrash/death/speed/grind as father genres? If first wave black metalheads didnt explore a combination of those styles and kept it pure then music wouldve never evolve or even exist.
    That album sounds pure, fresh and thats why i like it
