I’ve been dual booting Bazzite on my Legion Go and Ally X. It’s been a pretty good experience except it’s a bit odd that my Ally is missing the sleep animation so things just pause. Feels just like my Steam Deck OLED

I would presume Dragon's Dogma 2 would run very similarly on the Legion Go on Bazzite if you use the same settings I did. Which was low settings. Note that you need to run it at a 25/30W TDP to get comparable results.
I tried it out briefly and was unable to figure out how to activate the onscreen keyboard. I went back to windows unfortunately, maybe if an update comes out, I'll give it another go.
i think people who consider bazzite os is bcs of the stable sleep mode linux. can you please tell us like how bazzite os perform in rog ally x, bcs windows and x86 chip were famously known to drain battery when sleep and also very unstable. like how much they drain in an hour, and the stability ??

Verification doesn’t mean much on the deck anyways. I ignore it and just install games anyways and things just work. I don’t play multiplayer games though
I used to use decky loader, but I've been scared to do so ever since steamos couldn't boot properly on my deck 3 separate, each time resulting in factory resetting it. The only commonality between the resets was that I had decky loader installed and was on the beta, but I'm not risking my data to test which caused the problem.
Did they fix the external monitor randomly getting black screen or apps like emudeck or retrodeck not having proper folder permissions or the updates taking ages to install? Bazzite works great if you are only gonna play steam games. Anything else still has bugs. That’s far from perfect.
Works on my machine. Retrodeck and emudeck not having proper folder permissions is a them problem which they'd need to sort out with their flatpaks, although I've not experienced myself.

I don’t know why it’s happening but it happens doesn’t matter how you installed it, retrodeck, emudeck, from their website. At this point it’s a Bazzite problem not an emulator problem. This doesn’t happen on my steamdeck by the way. Bazzite is good, and it’s pretty usable in most cases, but it’s not perfect yet, is what I’m getting at. For me, the bugs it has are a deal breaker at the moment.
I really like windows actually. Sleep or hibernate work perfect for me. I don't want to be limited to steam launcher. Besides, rog ally x is a powerful windows PC for productivity use cases.
You're having any issues, you're going to need to report them to the developers, preferably on their Github. Bugs that don't get reported can't get fixed and this is the first time I've heard of any such bug. github.com/ublue-os/bazzite

I feel sad for those people think bazzite had less bugs than the orgianl Os and some of them fooled by video saying that the people who made bazzite are the same who made steamOs like if valve don't give salary and made her team made software for other devices, fact bazzite was a different name os but there's was a Os similar to bazzite and steamOs made for Pc before steam deck and it was actually made to beat windows as you noted steam desktop it's very windows style and the orgianl luinx was actually like sony mobiles style, it was made to make easy unlike the original was harder than MacOs

Still can't change the controller lay-out. It only changes the buttons for me but still shows as a xbox controller.

Go to HHD, settings (pressing the Y for more options) and check the box "Steam PowerButton Handler" and the sleep animatios will work.
You can use the m1 button on the ally to bring up hhd menu instead of double press the armoury crate button..
Can someone tell me if quick resume and quick suspend work just as well as on rog ally as on the steam deck. It's probably the most important feature.

DD2 has likely been patched between your memory of it on windows and your test of it on Bazzite

Why not jus have big picture mode load on startup like they did with windeck custom os
Game mode through gamescope has more features and better window control.
In Big picture mode in Bazzite, you can control all system level stuff. Big picture mode in windows is very limited.

How hard is it to go back and forth between windows and bazzite ??
You can dualboot if needed though there are tutorials for that.
Switching OSes isn't too hard though but it does take time to reinstall.

The system updates are through game mode. Driver updates are part of the system.
Idk if it was my install but I found VRR to stutter. I hope they fix it. Did you find that issue?
VRR doesn't help with framerate stuttering but more with screen tearing.

You aren't limited to Steam games.
In fact even the Steam Deck has never been limited to JUST steam games.
Unfortunately if you don’t use Windows you will miss out on AFMF 2 which is a game changer. Not sure using Linux is worth it if you lose that.
Bazzite still has a great bug where it randomly disables the fans that requires reinstalling to fix it. Big yikes.
