This run is not a 1:21:28.28 as the final split suggests. Because I split approximately 2.76 seconds too early, I had to retime the run. Afterwards, I added an additional second for the sake of fairness and ended up with a 1:21:32.04. I would greatly appreciate if anyone knowledgeable in frame timing/counting could provide an accurate time for this run so that I can get it verified.
Swamp Palace was a disaster but the rest of the run was solid. In an earlier run, I was on 1:22 pace but died on Yuganon. This run is over 4 minutes faster than my previous personal best and I skipped a 1:22! :3

This is my favourite Zelda game for many reasons (pretending breath of the wild doesn’t exist), the nostalgia and classic Zelda gameplay is something I’ll always enjoy however the glitches are really the highlight for me.
There so simple most players can preform them within a few tries yet for my first play through I never found a single one, so the overall game isn’t ruined by them.
Those were some incredible skips, I had no idea you could break the game like that

When I tell you my jaw DROPPED upon seeing Desert Palace Skip… and seeing you utterly _decimate_ the later dungeons after they gave me so much trouble when I first played this game? This speedrun is amazing.
Currently learning how to run this game. I’ve gotten all the way through to Lorule castle, and am currently working on getting the trial skip. Great run! This is helpful for memorizing the route too

i thought that a speedrun would be ‘gotta go fast, skipping everything useless 😎‘ but its actually ‘walls cannot stop me, i’m breaking the universe’ really well played and very enjoyable to watch, got me in a speedy mood
Awesome run! I especially liked the use of Quick Equip on the go and the many uses of the hookshot to save bits of time here and there.

This was actually very interesting for me to watch. I haven't touched this game in a while and it looks like there are a ton of new setups and tricks...seeing new stuff for DDPS and TRBKS makes me wanna pick it back up.
What's up with that new setup for trials skip? Isn't it run over if you mess it up or is it just that easy?
thanks...the new trials skip strat allows more frames for error and is more consistent for me than the old way, but both methods are still difficult...if i were to mess it up once in a run i would transition to the old way, only because of the health situation, but it probably is run over if you mess it up...also desert and turtle rock are much easier now :D

Swamp Palace had the only notable chunk of time save in the run. This run had roughly 1 minute worth of mistakes which is very good for an 81 minute run. I plan to go for a shorter time, but I think I finished a run that will take a long time to beat with the current route and strats mainly because i nailed most tricks first try. However, currently I'm more interested in continuing to search for glitches while learning other games. :)
Yes, this game could always use more glitches :) I think the next biggest timesave we need is a Skull Woods skip. That damn portrait has been sitting out in the open since 2013 lol

Just using UA-cam's frame advance feature (, and . to go back and forward one frame), it looks like you started the timer 3 frames before your video shows you pressing A to begin, and you hit A at the Triforce 71 frames after your timer reads 1:21:28.27 (I'm just going by visual cues here for when you pressed the A button). So you need to add 68 frames to 1:21:28.27, which puts your time at around 1:21:30.54.

i remember when i was like 7, me and my brother literally spending months trying to beat it but then I retried the game a month or two ago (I'm 15 now) and did it casually in 3 days lol

....I can't even get to the death warp...either the bird just...runs away....or it just plows right through me, doing damage but not knocking me back....
In lost woods to go for sword at 3rd phase u can ask for help others to look at ,,ghosts" too or use finger to remember where they are
The last one always has you going downward, where you entered
The three ghost are always next to each other until they split up

Shane Williams The post-use item animation (which keeps you from doing tricks like that) can be cancelled by swapping items right after you use it or something like that. You should be able to look it up fairly easily

not sure how much time it saves, but falling down skips the cutscene that spawns the pendant...the health increase isn't needed since getting the master sword restores your health

Just so you know, Roms do not count in speed runs, unless they are specified as Rom speed runs. I can tell right away this is a Rom using the Citra emulator and anyone who knows what to look for can agree with me. You should put that in your title showing people you did this on a Rom and not an actual game on the 3DS. I honestly hate people who lie like this trying to pretend they are not cheating by playing on an emulator and not an actual game when it's so obvious...
