Almost drowned here. Respect the ocean, folks. Crazy how quickly the waves can crash and pull you in
Big island of Puerto Rico has over 350 beaches, not mentioning its other islands, 198 cays and attols many with numerous white sand beaches....totaling over 7,000 square miles. Just the big island alone has 1,900 square miles of lakes, which is more than the size of Long Island, N.Y. (1,400 Square miles). Puerto Rico is a true paradise archipelago. It's 78 cities are beautiful.
Puerto Rico have 1,200 beaches
Beach experience is the best: drinks 🍹 and music 🎶
Iam going to Puerto Rico soon.l love the condado beach ⛱️🏖️⛱️🏖️🏖️.and Miramar hotel and Canario by the lagoon.
$20 dollar piña colada, wow them dudes are getting rich and not dead trying!
Condado prices😂 locals would never pay that amount. Seems like some tourist do...
I have paid up to $3 $5 or more, it depends on the cup size.
That is why I always ask the how much? question, BEFORE purchasing anything anywhere I go, especially if there is no price list. But it did include an entire🍍 friuts, ice, plastic cup straw and a smile🤣
bruh 😂...tell me about it
I was in shock with the price. Maybe $12 - 15 in the Caribe Hilton the best one I ever try but in the street I would expect $7.00 at the most if from scratch. No Oasis high fructose syrup disgusting one.
And the guy is all smiles and trying to look friendly, que clase de pillo... verguenza le deberia dar.
Yeah $20 a pineapple and they keep em in a dark shack with rats cockroaches and iguanas getting all up on em don't ever buy the $20 street pineapples they are so unhygienic take it from me i live and work here it is not great but hey great way to build antibodies right?
$20 for that pina 😳
Sly making a smooth exit when he mentioned the price haha
Seriously though 🤑
😂...I was going to buy one, but $20 is absurd
I’m a local… $20 is a ripoff.
@@slyslife "There you go" was the perfect response. Don't ever pay $20 for a piña colada. Did you try Tayzan and a Mofongo already? Also, yes, the best beaches are in the west coast, try Playa Sucia. Love your content.
The Condado area of San Juan is Not where anyone should visit with the only exception people arriving in cruise lines due to limited time of departure. There are numerous of place/town that you can visit like Isabela free live salsa concert every Saturday nights.A place that is called Guavate for the freshly prepare roasted pork and morcillas(Blood pudding) other interest may be Luquillo due the amazing beach,Farjado in the west coast of Puerto Rico.
Blood pudding sounds better than blood sausages😂 I love me some but only during Christmas and only if they are prepared by a family member otherwise I pass, no gracias.
I thought mole was strange, but blood pudding sounds like it's on another level
It’s also popular in Ireland. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was the Irish who introduced it to the Island.
But with car rental prices no one will be going to Isabella its too far
Luquillo and Fajardo are in the east of the island. To the west are Rincón and Mayagüez, and to the south west are the beautiful beaches of Cabo Rojo, to name a few. But the island is full of beautiful places.
Definitely do not leave PR without having mofongo! Also, try a Pan de Mallorca with a cup of coffee. Yum!!!
Pan de Mallorca is on the list👌🏿
Drive 30 minutes to luquillo beach. One of the better beaches on the island.
I love playa de Luquillo!
We've stayed at LaConcha and the Condado Vanderbilt next door numerous times and have never seen that much seaweed on the beach,,
Yea, maybe it's the time of year
Me neither and we have stayed in this area at least 10 times. Love PR!
I lived at the SJ Marriott for six years. One weekend a honeymoon couple was playing in the water when the undertook the groom and he drowned. There was no coroner available on the weekend, so his body lay on the beach for more than a day. I hope thing have improved, but by afternoon the beach was often as much cigarette butts as sand.
This prob happened 20 -25 years ago?
I usually go to this beach in February/March and the water is much higher. Waves are almost hitting all the way to La Concha hotel sometimes
True
My wife and I snorkeled that lagoon many times. My favorite body of water in PR. The biggest danger to me is the Stonefish. I have video of several. And yes, they look like a stone until you step one...just dont!
We actually found a graduates ring from SJ Military academy in the lagoon near the bridge and reunited him with it a few years later
There danger every where in the world thank you for the video
We have about 250 more beaches to enjoy from about 2,000 beaches in PR. PR is not that point only. We are 78 towns.
Thank you for that awesome video 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍👍👍
Loved Condado Playit, last time I was there it was not that many people ❤
4:40 Work smart so you can play whenever you want
Thank you for posting Videos of Puerto Rico! Keep posting them
Although the beach looks beautiful and enticing, is one of the most dangerous beaches on the island due rip tide currents that can be at times challenging for even experienced swimmers. Not long ago, a kid who just got off the plane, and a first timer on the island jumped in and unfortunately drowned. Just be aware. Thanks for sharing.
@@RealengoPrimordialDemon whatever, blah, blah.
@@miguelcontreras3953 vete a nadar en Arecibo
Piña Colada is easy to do,the way l do it is: pineapple juice, evaporate milk, con densed milk, coconut milk and ice.
I stayed in La concha the one with shell thats a nice restaurant there.. plus I stayed more far down marriott stellari good hotel with casino.. and goin again in may..There is a lot of restaurants there...
Sly Tony from the Sheraton, one of your fan visit me at Sheraton. Miramar 2.ND floor
Glad to hear that🙏🏿
Was there last year this time. So fun. Nightlife is good to. I’d live there but it’s far from west coast
That beach is dangerous. You can go tp the first you visit in this video or take the bus or Uber to go to Isla Verde that is the best of the area.If you want bathrooms and beverages you can go to the private one near hotels in Isla Verde. But if you have a dream to visit those like pools,in the east coast you can take a taxi boat or catamaran to Icacos and a big boat to Culebra and go to Flamenco beach. One of the best. Both Icacos or Flamenco are pools. There some many more.Condado, remember that so many tourists die there frecuently. The currents are dangerous.
A few years ago I went to that beach and the waves were calm but sometimes strong. I was coming out of the water and at the shore when out of now where a fast and strong wave hit me hard and knocked me down. Actually the wave hit me on the side like a kidney punch and I went down right after.
$20 for a pina colada that's highway robbery.
No, its pr.
He was scaming. Can get it for 10. Maybe 15 max if it's in the actual pineapple.
Heading there in a few months. 1st time to PR. Watching videos to see the area and what to do. You literally are exiting by the condo I'm staying at. It was a perfect area to see the beach and atmosphere. Thanks boss!
I've been visiting PR for nearly 50 years, including month long stays. (I own a Condo in Luquillo) My family owned three at one time, including one on Ashford Ave. near where you recorded this video. Over the years we've seen many drownings, typically involving people unfamiliar with the area's rip currents. People explore past the breakers, get caught in the rip current; then they panic, fight the current, and disaster follows. The beaches can be seductive - they're a gentile Puerto Rican lover that demands respect. To truly enjoy PR, you must experience it on its own terms.
Do you rent them out?
Nice stealth boast.
@@JulieWallis1963 Not sure what that means, but thank you. lol
Fantastic video thanks that's my island .💗⛱💃🕺
Sly dude bro!
Now I’m going to have to go back soon 🇵🇷
I miss my island already bro 🤙🏽
So beautiful 😍
If you need help let me know 👍🏼
The Condado beach....usually has strong waves and undercurrents....many tourists die....not heeding the dangers.
💯💯💥💥 i love puerto rico !! NEVER BEEN!! . BUT!! my girlfriend at the time went with her gay friends for pride .. you guessed it she cheated on me with some guy .. guess what !?. I busted her broke up she moved to PR. Guess who's calling asking for money asking to pls help her get on apt cause her pr ! Bf she had been texting has a wife 😆🤣😂 oh and I found a great girlfriend who I now live with been on vacations together yes puerto rico thank you
Great Story!
@@Animalit55is it womens fault when men cheat?
@@testing6753unfortunately yes women control access to sex and men to marriage
You go to so many places man. Are you going to be exploring the Caribbean even further?
Thanks!
Yes people drown in all the beaches around the world.
Sly is waxing philosophical in this vid.:DD
My take: balance is the best approach. I can't handle too much non-work.
Sly, you need to buy yourself a big Panama hat since the Sun is always a problem for you.
Mofongo yes ❤
Bendiciones
When you start to uggg.. my favorite part 😂 lol
I'm looking for conch shells and or sand dollars will I find any 😊
ROBBERY W/O A GUN $20
I know lol
I have 57 years old and never have that experience.
Bro, those were just regular beach umbrellas. 🤔
That's too damn much for a pina colada on the beach
I agree
La Concha is Not a cheap resort. Yet, the resort owners don't even clean the beachfront. It's best to vacation in Mexico. Puerto Ricans are Not there , yet.
Bro I lost my dog in that beach like 6 years ago
How long are you going to be there bro
you could only play if you work
Americans especially white Americans gamble with that beach when they tour in Puerto Rico, it’s not wise because some drown.
many drown.. not many tourists know.
@@madmax797 oh there are warning signs. Problem is they get too exited on how beautiful it looks, and forget the danger. Kind of like insects falling on traps.
@@madmax797 They have to be wiser and use common sense. Don’t ignore the warnings.
@@madmax797 A couple of months ago I was watching a show on television that had a tourist fall off a cliff on another country by standing too close and taking pictures at the very end of that cliff. The tourist died from the fall.
@@marcotorres8779 The beach is right in front of the resort (La concha) and no active lifegaurds with so many drownings?
Anyone know what’s going on with the abandoned hotel at the end of the beach?
Normandie? It was sold and the plan are to do a full renovation..
Thanks for response but I love that hotel but the one I’am referring to is different
I was just there, the water is turbulent. Go on a guided tour. Don’t swim alone.
I was raise there and although there's crime I never witnessed in 20 yrs one, so you may be referring dangerous as rip currents or something else
MO-FON-GO, say no more.
Hey Sly hope all is good Did you get our email??
All is well... If it's your channel name then I didn't get it. (sylvesternzekwe@gmail.com).
pride month is international now?
20 pesos right?
😅
No, it's American currency
Pesos is in Mexico... we are US territory.. dollars!
@@nellydelgado5173 it's a joke ...
PR looks real slight
I'll be showing more once I get this rental car👍🏿
I thought Puerto Rico could have been much better. I was there 2022 and the infrastructure for tourism just wasn’t there. I also expected to see more of the Boricua culture and it just wasn’t prevalent.
Interesting points
San Juan is full of rich people from the states that are heavy into crypto currency. You want to experience the culture you have to leave San Juan
Ryan Wayne Puerto Rico is not a tourist trap.
@@sir.fuentes7642 The statement I make about Puerto Rico and its infrastructure for tourism is based on basic principles. 1. How easy is it to navigate a place? I found myself driving the island from end to end in a rental car. Metro transportation or travel guides were either not present or unavailable. 2. Diversity and Availability of activities. I had multiple fails booking the activities I was most interested in. Water Taxis to Culebra Island were completely booked for weeks and were unavailable. Traveling there by plane was equally inaccesible. These excursions must be booked weeks before arrival on the island. The companies that rent sailboats or do snorkeling tours had similar lack of availability. Despite having a local pulling all the strings and reaching out to multiple contacts, nothing. 3. Opportunities to explore culture and history. Puerto Rico has been colonized for a long time and it is evident. The majority of the restaurants are popular US chain restaurants. Outside of the museums or historic sites, there wasn't a distinctive feel of being away from the mainland. MARCH 2022
@@fire8storm seems you tried going to all the wrong places. Get off the tourist spots and go somewhere remote
