- Part 2 of a 4 part series - Installing Vintage Air HVAC System. Now that the transmission swap is complete, it's time to move onto installing the Vintage Air HVAC system. Out with the old to make room for the new!
We are converting this 77 Corvette from an automatic to manual using the C3 Corvette TKX 5-Speed Kit from American PowerTrain. Other upgrades planned include a new Vintage Air conditioning system and a new Holley Sniper fuel injection system. Follow us as we show each major step along the way. Dosent look to bad at all, i enjoy working on my 75, it wasnt built with AC so im on the fence to intall, my car is 100% original. Astro vent no AC
Thank you very much for taking the time to do these videos. Installing this in my 79 vette right now. One question. I noticed when i went to install #10 AC hose 90 degree onto evaporator that the fitting on evaporator was loose. Is this a swivel fitting or should this be tight? Tough to tell with all the press tape on it from factory! Thanks again

Vintage Air. When we purchased the kit, none of their retailers had this specific kit in stock. So, we purchased the kit we used on this project directly from Vintage Air kit.
Do you still have the original AC brackets and compressor?
I believe we gave those parts back to the owner of the Corvette.

The next video won't be the last of the Corvette project. We are also installing a Holley Snipper fuel injection system. However, I do think the next video will be the last of the Vintage Air install. We have had the Corvette on the road and got the pleasure to enjoy the new AC system. It's great!

Or any of the final duct work... this is disappointing, hopefully the sniper setup will be more thorough, I would tell the owner to skip the sniper, and get the edelbrock proflow4, sniper is a problem waiting to happen.
I don't know if that's your wife or your girlfriend or your helper she's a good woman you better appreciate that
