Thanks, I had no idea. Does their government actually sleep all day, since they can´t land on one or the other? Sounds a lot like the UK metric conversion, where they now buy their fuel in Litres, but still uses miles for distance, hence the awkward measurement of miles per litre.
Makes sense when the letter ö isn´t part of the English alphabet - so you substitute with O. How would you try to explain that sound to an English speaking person? More like Ehhh?
@@JamesSheldonUnofficial It's the "eu" from saboteur" without the "r". yes, that's practically French, but it's technically an English word. I guess the difference between that and just the standard English "er" in "her" is very minimal, but at that point you need to half-include the non-rhotic "r", which makes it a weird explanation.
The bright gravel roads are very common on Gotland, this is due to the limestone that has been quarried there. It is very rare that lime is found on the mainland/island in Sweden. Tips from a Swede who has spent e.g. a number of summers on Gotland.
I really appreciate the games where you get mildly destroyed. It's very interesting you see what you get wrong and why, especially the Brasil where both of you went Thailand. As a terrible player, it was an obvious Brasil because I didn't even consider that it could be Thailand.
i'm not surprised yark got the gotland one wrong. i'm estonian too and ignoring the flag, if you look at pictures of visby old town/gotland vs tallinn old town/western estonia(historically swedish) it's veeery uncanny valley.
Wow, I´ve been to Gotland, but Balticum was my first thought. How did you get that it was Sweden so fast? I can see the house on the right was not a Baltic one. Did the meta give it away?
I´m feeling it too, as a Norwegian, a lot of my messups are in Norway. It´s just not that fun to practice on my own country, as I already know a very large part of it.
When it's going away from you and you aren't on your A game, why not break and regroup??? Just feels painful seeing you be so close and watching you loose a bunch in a row.
Puerto rico actually uses both mph and kms. The speed limits are more american in miles, but a lot of other distances are shown in metric
yep I remember noticing this when I visited two summers ago
amazing :D
what in the actual
Puerto Rico makes two exceptions to US customary units: road distance signs are measured in kilometers and gasoline is sold per liter.

idk how much you care but the way u pronounced öland is actually how åland is pronounced

Yeah man don't leave us in suspense how do you say öland in English

Ye thought I heard that too but I'm having a man cold and cough medicine and fever repressants and whiskey so I didn't trust me ears
