I had watched this video about 2 years ago and when I watched it today, i must first compliment the cook/maestro of this video for the absolutely enviable herbal garden that she lovingly grew and maintain. I wish to be able to start such an herbal garden. I wish to also thank you for sharing such an enriching and healthy meal for the world to benefit from. I will definitely give it a try. Ribuan Terima Kasih

Nice! My mum would make me help her when I was young when she made nasi ulam, nagging that my slices are not fine enough, making me redo them until I get the tiny slices right. 😂. She adds something called daun kentut which is a creeper. Very yummy. Now I miss doing this with her as this dish is too much work now since she is now well into her 70's.

Indian and Thai Basil tasted different. But the Thai uses Indian Basil (Holy Basil) in their cooking too 😊 I’m sure you can add any leaves/ vegs in your Nasi Ulam, they’re all up to each individuals preference.
      Ahhh, salted fish. Hopefully someday!
