Haha, watching them play in the mud around reason #7, reminded me of my Dogo Maya... she was a total muck monster... any mud around and she was IN it... the blacker the better...lol.
My Dogo is my service dog. She absolutely loves me. I rescued her, she was a puppy mill, she was made have puppies every time she went into heat. She loves me, I can’t run, I am disabled. I have MS. She takes care of me. There are ways that you can exercise your Dogo that don’t need you to be physical. Please tell all of the truth. I have my Dogo in training, if they are trained correctly, they will do everything you want them to do. They need to be trained. My Dogo was absolutely amazing from the day I rescued her. They know when you are helping them. You guys deal with Dogo’s that have been neglected, you don’t deal with the Dogo you rescue. Baby is my first Dogo and all she wants to do is help me. I have helped her as much as she has helped me. Have a reputable trainer an just give her or him a chance!
I have had the honor of meeting 2 of this breed dog. I want to express how important it is to realize that if you even in play go toward the owner or playfight with the owner , this dog will protect the owner. You could find the dogo will attack. Always remeber that although this dog's temperament is good the dog does not know you are just kidding around. This happened and I told the person that even know it was a light slow kick , the dog did what it knows, to protect its owner. In any breed dogs world revolves around the owner and protection of that owner.Dogs are smart ,but expecting the dog to reason between the difference of play and what is real when it comes to the safety of the owner , is taking a good chance that you might find yourself at the teeth end of the dog if your not careful
Excellent advice for ALL dogs/owners, regardless of breed, though the amount of energy/exercise needed varies by breed, of course. The difference with a dog like a Dogo (or any "protection dog" or dog with a high PSI bite) is that the consequences of lack of exercise, lack of early and consistent training, lack of socialization etc. can be a DISASTER--because a bite can be so severe (i.e. a torn up couch may be the least of your problems). If a potential owner can't make the commitment to exercise, consistent training, etc., please, please, don't get a "Formula 500" dog like a Dogo or a Malinois. One more note for any readers who are considering a dog for protection purposes: You need/want 100% CONTROL with a dog used for protection, which means commitment to significant training (e,g., 100% recall even in distraction; without fail "wait" commands, etc.). Protection should not just "happen" because you risk the dog making an error in judgment. Thanks for the video. Breathtakingly gorgeous dogs and EXCELLENT advice throughout the entire vid. I can't thank you enough.
My gf and I were gifted a Dogo Argentino & American Bulldog mix. We'll be binge watching your videos to try and make sure we're as prepared as possible for it! Hopefully the fact that shes mixed wont make too much of an impact on what methods work best for her.

Just purchased my first dogo thanks so much for taking time to make these videos. I always had American and Alapaha bulldogs. Excited to see how these dogos are and how the differ
Hi my name is kevin Kelly. I asked a question regarding dog aggression I purchased a dogo pup and he is coming next week. I have always had American bulldogs in the past. And with all my males I have dealt with pretty severe dog aggression and with one people aggression he was a rare case I understand that now about him. But my goal for dogo is to be a family member first and an asset to my household as I work overnights twice a week. I know he will protect my family which I great but I don't want him to be a liability to my family or like the last American did attack one of my sons. So I was looking for advice on how to accomplish this. I have lined up obedience training already for him and I have agreed to fix him at some point ( also looking for advice on when) and I would like to train him as a good k 9 citizen or something. Basically my goal for him is a companion on hikes and runs and outdoor family events. He will come hunting with me from time to time but as a companion I don't need him as a catch dog. The most important thing is I want a dog I can take Everywhere with me who is stable Thanks for your time please excuse my typing I am on my phone in gym parking lot. Thanks Kevin m kelly Kevinmkellyelectric1@hotmail.com I tried emailing you but for some reason kept getting returned

I got my two Dogo's a couple of years ago. I have to say that they seem to be a lot like the short haired Chows I have had. Because I live in the bush in our cabin our dogs get very little human contact other than my wife and I. Just like the Chows, they are extremely protective and aggressive towards other people [ when we see them which is rare] and animals. Out here, this is not a bad thing. These dogs are great alarm systems when it come to bears and big cats, again a good thing considering where we live. And just like the Chows, very very loving and loyal to my wife and I. We love em, these are great dogs in every aspect. We even got them their own beds because you cant sleep with two people and two Dogo's in your bed Lol. And if your wondering, thats Macks in the thumbnail. A great Dane Husky cross. Yup, there is a whole lot of dog out here with us.
My mom babysits kids and they have a giant dogo argentino. She is 100 pounds. She is the sweetest thing and listens to all commands. When I go with my mom I take the dog for a 40 minute walk and half of it is a run. She comes in and just lays down on top of you. They are the most loving and will love you forever if you walk them and play with them. I love her to death.
Agradezco mucho sus comentarios y cálidos comentarios. Siempre es mi objetivo honrar al Dogo Argentino y hacer todo lo posible para retratar su naturaleza gloriosa con honestidad sin adornos.
I remember I saw the Dogo in the 101 dog breeds that my friend allyn let me borrow in middle school. I’m 25 now and am still in Awe and I hope to meet one some day.
Yeah Texas is the place to go for dogo’s after Argentina I drove all the way to Texas from Michigan’s upper peninsula and back. Worth it 🥰. Lots of people in Texas use them to help quell the wild hogs that rip up there state. My baby girl is almost 3 now got her at 10 weeks old vary smart and super strong she always trying to alpha Check me and her cuteness is definitely a factor lol
Or an alternative witch I plan on doing myself if we all survive this pandemic is adopting a dogo. There are a few specialized rescue centers in the country but the one I’ll go through is in Washington DC called DC dogo’s they can be really expensive and almost impossible to find a breeder.
Lovely video. Rule no 2 is my family problem. I have Rottweiler. I put rules very strictly, but my other family members do the opposite. Well it is clear that confusion is there. I like the voice too ♥️♥️♥️
Alright, next time there is something wrong with your dog, don’t take him to the vet and see how long he actually lasts. Everyone puts healthcare professionals on blast until it’s an emergency.
Awesome video with very educational information very spot on and not only is it true to Dogo Argentinos it's good information for all large breed dogs... Thanks for the video and please keep them coming!
Thank you for the good content and you got yourself a new subscriber... the Dogo Argentino is one of my favorite Dogs...My dream vacation is to go to Argentina and buy a couple of puppies and then go explore Argentina for a few weeks!
Oh I bet you’ll love it. I’m told that their beef is second to none and the country is beautiful. I’d buy a home there if I could. Thanks for your viewership and your subscription!
Yes I have to agree with your statement I've done a lot of research about Argentina and Dogo Argentinos and I agree 100% with everything you said about the country and the breed... I too would love to live there I love that country culture they have down there... But since that will probably never happened for me I plan on rescuing a Dogo Argentino within a year or two cuz I have a active lifestyle I love the wilderness... when I was 20 I used to have American Bulldog which I rescued from a local pound and he looked & acted very similar to Dogo's and that is how I found out about the Dogo breed actually... and the dog breed made me very intrigued with the country!

even if u are consistent these dogs can be difficult. they are smart enough to recognize that they can do things when u arent looking. my dog will wait to misbehave until i walk out of a room... i used to trick her by faking it but now she actually checks for that.
@@DogoArgentinoUSA you are very welcome, that puppy handling is top notch especially for aggressive species. You plainly and simply explained it so thoroughly that a light bulb in my head just clicked on in explaining that training or forming good habits starts when a dog is a pup. It just makes your life and your pet so much smoother to get along.
I got a doggo puppy ,shes almost 6mnths, she wakes me up every morning to take her to the bathroom and for a walk, and if i don't want to go she wont oeave me alone 😂 she dies everything in her power to make sure i get up 😂😂 she will jump on the bed and me she will run into another room grab something important of mine and run aroumd the corner holding it in her mouth 😂😂😂 like you gonna get up😐or are we doing this😑 ..😂😂 she gets her walk every morning she has a routine and she makes sure we stick to it.😂😂shes a good girl she olays a little rough and even her play bites can be hurtful so were working in that... And her appetite is tremendous, i actually hunt to make sure i have venison to mix with her food alingside vegetables and a cup of dog food. She does great and im excited to see the end result of her growth, she is a working line doggo so shes already very athletic and full of power and energy.. love the breed and i used to always own the pitbull or Staffordshire breed also excellent dogs but the doggo is a breed of it's own for sure and pure intelligent powerhouse...
First one 14 year's ate dried dog food and cooked meat second loves home cooked food and raw chicken eats anything I eat veggies bread's biscuits fruit they are awesome dog's
Consistent and setting boundaries is extremely important with any dog. You know your the pack leader when your greed you with their head. I cane Corso. Treat it like a gun. Always know that a mistake can really hurt or take a like if you are careless.
Mine is deaf. Training is very very slow. She just turned 2 . She knows 4 commands well but still only minds when she wants to. She's learning a 5th . It's very very slow going with a deaf dog. She's not my first and I'm definitely not giving up.
Deaf dogs are quite smart, but if you got her older, it can be hard to break through because you don’t have that puppy bond with her. However, any dog can be taught new tricks you just need to see what motivates that specific dog - - Whether it’s food or exercise or affection, or some other thing, you just need to find the thing.
Today i have found an abandoned Dogo Argentino (not sure) around 5-6 years. She is well behaved, not microchipped so i am not able to find her owners. She's very sad and depressed. Please tell me what to do as this is my first time with a senior dog.
That is terrible to hear she was abandoned. If you are able to keep her I recommend a Vet exam, senior dog food and lots of exercise. With your love her broken heart will heal in time.
I my daughter got me one several months ago, and the vet nobody could figure it out. She awesome with my grandkids nabours kids but I saw news video 2 nabours dogs got together and the dogo took on the coyotes and when I saw the dogo I jumped over my coffee table and watched the video a couple of times and I looked up snowbank I knew what she was attitude is amazing but when a couple of wild dogs came through the area she was a whole different animal she dove into the wild dogs my nabours thought she was being attacked and I yelled at them and they realized she was total control something I've never seen very proud would dogs took off I ye at my dog she stopped letting her bark be heard then she came up to me sat down, but I weighed her got the correct weight shes 98 pounds and is 11 months old shes with me wherever I go I'm excited to knw what kind of breed she is, she loves riding in my truck, a lady stopped me yesterday evening and asked me I told everything she looked straight up at me offered me a price for her I looked at her it's not about money shes my girl period end of story she was not happy my dog didn't like nor did I. My compliments
The first time my Dogo was alone in the yard he ate the above ground swimming pool, lol. Fortunately, I value my family members far more than any possession. So I laughed when I found my destroyed pool. If STUFF is important to you, be careful about leaving your Dogo alone.
My baby girl loves to cuddle her mama and watch TV. She is super gentle with her brother (whippet) she has trouble with his speed. We let them run our .5 acre back yard until they are panting heavily. She loves her kitties. (We have 4)
Mistake 6 came to truth for me. I've had a few dogs off leash at dog parks attack my boy. My boy is extremely friendly with other dogs but for some reason Pitbulls absolutely hate him. I learned to always pay attention to signs that show a fight will start and when to get inbetween. My boy has never even fought back yet some pitbulls hate him and won't stop their attack. I;ve had to kick a couple of them. I've been bit on my thigh and now always wear my steel toe boots while in public with my dog. It's insane how little control some people have other their dogs.
That's what I'm scared of. I'm about to get a dogo argentino and of course he's still a pup to me. I know I'll have a long way to go with training and disciplining my dogo but I'm mostly just nervous and scared to take him around other dogs. Lol
its_Mai Ku it is a legitimate fear. My adult female and I were attacked walking in our neighborhood by two Offleash pit bulls. She made short work of them and didn’t suffer a single bite because she was so quick and powerful. The pitbulls got torn up.
@@DogoArgentinoUSA that is amazing and she's amazing. So glad that you both got away without getting hurt. They are such beautiful dogs. I've heard so many great things about them and I'm so excited to get one.
my friend keeps their color quite well he has 2 girls 1 named Piraja(piranha) the other sister Bella he doesnt have that much time for them but keeps their coats so white its amazing.
The color is absolutely beautiful although technically it is a lack of color that makes them what they are. Their fur isn’t actually a white color it actually lacks pigment and is clear.
@@kaos336 Could be part american bully or something else too if you're not sure. So many pit bulls today are not really pit bulls but mixed breed bulldogs of all varieties and sizes. There are no 100+ pound APBTs. I've seen all white bulls that look very similar to a dogo.
Hi can someone tell me where i can find these and how much they typically cost? I have just begun to look into this breed and i am learning everything i can about them, but i dont know if i should trust google, so i figured someone in the community could advise me.
I just heard the part about the dogo always wants to be with the owner that’s how my bully is she won’t let me leave the house without her but for some reason when I’m leaving for work she knows and doesn’t try to come with me but any other time it’s near impossible for me to go n not take her with me
So if I don’t wanna get a guarding breed will the dog be sweet to everyone because I want my dog to guard the house and also have a lot of time with me and my family
Mine is 3 years old had her since 9 weeks. She has been left home alone for 2.5 days straight with full access to the house and not destroyed anything. Not the couches mattresses not even shoes. She does eat raw meat with bones and lesser kibble. She is never in a kennel or tied up. The house is good size the yard is a full acre. She sleeps on my bed. Never goes in the house. Only aggressive at night well socialized. Also the vet advice I think is over-stated. Usually just letting her know by words and attitude what behavior is undesirable is enough for her. She loves everyone make no mistake if family is threatened I’d say she can be lethal human bones are probably weaker than stuff she crushes daily.
My AmStaff-Dogo mix hates water XD.... but he's sweet when I bathe him because he loves the shampoo/massage....but he sure as heck wouldn't go swimming with me. But yes....as a puppy, he destroyed numerous pairs of shoes, couch cushions, pillows, comforters, ( I have to work full time....so he was alone and bored...) as an owner who is empathetic, I already understood that boredom and loneliness can suck and any kid (dog, human, goat, cat...) is likely to cause a little havoc. So I fixed the messes, trained him not to mess with shoes (couldn't train him when it comes to pillows because his dog toys are pretty much stuffed animals and it's all the same to him). I just make sure that he's in an area that he's allowed to be roudy in when I'm not home. He and his Cane Corso companion have their own bedroom in the house and they both have a large backyard for when I'm home to supervise them. They are both adults now, but I still put down pee pads too...because it IS unfair to expect a dog to hold it in for more than 4 hours. They both weed all over the house when they were babies (despite my efforts to crate train, take them out right after eating, walk every two hours, make outside access available full time... puppies just take time. The Cane Corso almost 6 months to gain good bladder and bowel control, my Staff-Dogo took about 4 months...but would pee on people when he got excited lol! ) as adults...they make sure to ask to go outside...and if I'm not home, they make sure to go on the pads. It's just like respecting another person or a child. It's not fair to blame them instead of yourself when you don't consider consequences for the circumstances you put them in. Animal ownership is indeed a form of parenting. I've made a few of these mistakes, but I was definitely willing to make adjustments to keep the animal safe and loved.
I need some advice...... I just adopted a 3-year-old female dogo with serious skin issues and is always scratching? Also how much should I walk her and for how long
I rescued a heart worm positive young female doggo for the shelter. We've done all the treatments, she is doing great except we've not been able to really exercise her like she needs, and tends to be a very vocal brat! Would you suggest how to wear her out?
Let the heartworms finish dissolving. Keep consulting w vet. Too soo of exercise can cause a piece to break loose and give your dog a stroke. We rehab Dogos for a breed rescue. I have a female that was heavy HW + and it took almost 9 months for her to get back into healthy shape. You can do slow walks and encourage her to sniff and use nose to engage her mind and relieve stress.

Haha, watching them play in the mud around reason #7, reminded me of my Dogo Maya... she was a total muck monster... any mud around and she was IN it... the blacker the better...lol.
They love it
The blacker the berry the sweeter the juice
It’s true. These dogs are elite guardians that must be taken with respect.
Thanks very much!!
DOGO ARGENTINO THE BEST DOG ALL.OVER THE WORLD ❤❤❤
My gf and I were gifted a Dogo Argentino & American Bulldog mix. We'll be binge watching your videos to try and make sure we're as prepared as possible for it! Hopefully the fact that shes mixed wont make too much of an impact on what methods work best for her.
Great video.... very informative. Thank you very much... getting my first female in 3-4 months amd this video will really help me give thos amazing gift a good life. Again very grateful for the video
Thanks for much for your encouragement and support
Just purchased my first dogo thanks so much for taking time to make these videos. I always had American and Alapaha bulldogs. Excited to see how these dogos are and how the differ
Kevin We hope to help new owners! Thanks for the support!
Thanks what's your advice on curbing dog aggression that was my least favorite part of my American bulldogs
Kevin Dog Send is an email DogoArgentinoUSA@gmail.com describing your problem in detail
Hi my name is kevin Kelly.
I asked a question regarding dog aggression
I purchased a dogo pup and he is coming next week.
The most important thing is I want a dog I can take Everywhere with me who is stable
Thanks for your time please excuse my typing I am on my phone in gym parking lot.
Thanks

So whatever state im in working inwanna be abal to leave my trailer parked. And not knowing anyone in that state oe area. Imma need for my trailer and tools to be SECURED.
The thumbnail is my male Zeus.
@@DogoArgentinoUSA He's beautiful, and what a great name!!
They are so loving

I remember I saw the Dogo in the 101 dog breeds that my friend allyn let me borrow in middle school. I’m 25 now and am still in Awe and I hope to meet one some day.
You could meet many by going to the breed specialty show in Texas. Check out the Dogo Argentino Club of America (DACA) for more info.
Great video! Very informative.
Thank you very much
Awesome the video answered me question!! 💯💯🏆🏆

Lovely video. Rule no 2 is my family problem. I have Rottweiler. I put rules very strictly, but my other family members do the opposite. Well it is clear that confusion is there.

I swear most vets get their information on the internet. They tell me exactly what i just read myself, thanks here’s $500 🤦🏼♂️
Yea, medical doctors aren’t much better in my personal experience
@@DogoArgentinoUSA I agree. This like taking parenting skills from a medical doctor vs behavioralist/psychologist
I would say the difference is that they could prescribe what is actually needed which is the expensive/sucky part that is needed by a veterinarian
Man, the vets make bank on people like you. Make sure you know your dog and what they need and tell your fuck head vet that this is whats up.
Alright, next time there is something wrong with your dog, don’t take him to the vet and see how long he actually lasts. Everyone puts healthcare professionals on blast until it’s an emergency.
I have my 2. Dogo and she is the most good dog in the world ❤❤❤
Thruthfully and nice tips about the breed. Love it
Thanks very much
I have a pittweiler and a lab, both of whom I love more than myself. But man these dogs are beautiful too.
They’re extremely beautiful breed, but they are probably not the right breed for the vast majority of people.
pure love. I have one love him. he is adorable,

Finally someone who doesn’t feed canines rice and understands how to feed them!
Much appreciated 🙏🙏
Picture at left. I do not feed her rice. By vet she is on Royal Canin. No people food. At times boil chicken. And maybe at times hard boil eggs
great video
Very well done appropriately informed video.

Love doggos. Great pups
Yes indeed

I think the video should how to be a better trainer/leader for your dog, I think I am lacking that too, but glad mine is just 8months :D

This dog fits me.
First and last you must to be ALPHA MALE to him...Extremely fast, strong and brave...owner 10 years
Definitely!
i mean, you need to be dominant and assertive.
Super true. They will walk all over you if not
Today i have found an abandoned Dogo Argentino (not sure) around 5-6 years.
With your love her broken heart will heal in time.
i have some pics of her. could you please help me to find out what is it? I'll mail you.
There is no point to that since only a DNA test can tell for sure!
Wonderful video! I want to get those pretty colored collars for my pups... Where do those come from?!? Thanks. Keep up the videos!:)
Not sure which you’re referring to since everyone wears two

They’re awesome and very much guardians. Thanks for sharing your story and welcome to my channel. Thanks for your support 🙏
Great breed. Great video.

(We have 4)
Whippets are so fast! I imagine there no catching a whippet!
How old is she today? Is she still gentle with the cats?
Mistake 6 came to truth for me. I've had a few dogs off leash at dog parks attack my boy. My boy is extremely friendly with other dogs but for some reason Pitbulls absolutely hate him. I learned to always pay attention to signs that show a fight will start and when to get inbetween. My boy has never even fought back yet some pitbulls hate him and won't stop their attack. I;ve had to kick a couple of them. I've been bit on my thigh and now always wear my steel toe boots while in public with my dog. It's insane how little control some people have other their dogs.
Oh other owners can be the worst! I’m sorry to hear you had to experience that. I bet your boy is a cutie! Stay safe and thank you for your support ❤️
They are amazing
my friend keeps their color quite well he has 2 girls 1 named Piraja(piranha) the other sister Bella he doesnt have that much time for them but keeps their coats so white its amazing.
ps they dont like outsiders truly a family dog
The color is absolutely beautiful although technically it is a lack of color that makes them what they are. Their fur isn’t actually a white color it actually lacks pigment and is clear.
just found out my “pit bull” i adopted two years ago is mostly Dogo Argentino, absolutely crazy lol!
Welcome to the fam
Same! Adopted a dog last year thinking it was a Pit mix. Now she’s a 1 year old and grew into a 90 pound mini horse.
@@kaos336 Could be part american bully or something else too if you're not sure. So many pit bulls today are not really pit bulls but mixed breed bulldogs of all varieties and sizes. There are no 100+ pound APBTs. I've seen all white bulls that look very similar to a dogo.
Nicholas Schepis yeah we’re not sure. She looks a lot like a Dogo, but there’s no telling. She’s tall and big so definitely mixed with something.
@@kaos336 Sounds cool.
Hi can someone tell me where i can find these and how much they typically cost? I have just begun to look into this breed and i am learning everything i can about them, but i dont know if i should trust google, so i figured someone in the community could advise me.
I am videos on the subject of pricing. If you care to look it up
I just heard the part about the dogo always wants to be with the owner that’s how my bully is she won’t let me leave the house without her but for some reason when I’m leaving for work she knows and doesn’t try to come with me but any other time it’s near impossible for me to go n not take her with me
They’re not generally independent in temperament
So if I don’t wanna get a guarding breed will the dog be sweet to everyone because I want my dog to guard the house and also have a lot of time with me and my family
A properly trained exercised and socialized Dogo is a formidable guardian
This is overall common sense training for any dog owner.
Sure is!
love this dog
Thanks for your viewership
They are very powerful when fed raw bones. Their head and jaws develop properly when eating things that must be crushed
How many hours a day would be sufficient for excercise?
2 if they are vigorous
@@DogoArgentinoUSA thank you very much for the reply, any advice for me, I'm getting a 2yr old dogo from a rescue I'm fl
Mine *love* water. They would lay in a birdbath if they could.

I need some advice...... I just adopted a 3-year-old female dogo with serious skin issues and is always scratching? Also how much should I walk her and for how long
You can’t outwalk a 3 year old. They were designed to run 10-20 miles every day.
When we feed our Dogo food containing chicken he has skin problems. Hope this helps.
I rescued a heart worm positive young female doggo for the shelter. We've done all the treatments, she is doing great except we've not been able to really exercise her like she needs, and tends to be a very vocal brat! Would you suggest how to wear her out?
Get a doggie parachute and harness.
@@DogoArgentinoUSA thank you so much for the quick reply. I can us this on her without stressing her lungs out too much?
Let the heartworms finish dissolving. Keep consulting w vet. Too soo of exercise can cause a piece to break loose and give your dog a stroke. We rehab Dogos for a breed rescue. I have a female that was heavy HW + and it took almost 9 months for her to get back into healthy shape. You can do slow walks and encourage her to sniff and use nose to engage her mind and relieve stress.
