One of the best episodes! Kaif is a very underrated player but a true legend!
Before them were Ajay Jadeja, Mohammed Azharrudin, and Robin Singh.
Before Kaif & Yuvi pa ... it was Ajay Jadeja and Md Azharuddin. Post match fixing scene with Azhar, it was Ajay Jadeja and Robin Singh. They both saved a lot of runs at point and covers.
Mohammed Kaif played only for 6 years not a very long time but still people remember him for his athletic fielding and energy levels shown on the pitch

Kaif bhai is a legend. His skills were half of what Yuvraj Singh were but only due to his hard work, focus and fielding he achieved so much in cricket. Very humble person, he alone saved atleast 20 to 30 runs with his fielding. I still remember he was out of form for a few months but still he was in the Indian team only due to his fielding, his grit & determination not to throw away his wicket.
This is how Ganguly worked with him. He told Kaif to make 15-20 runs coz he comes as finisher but also save 20-30 runs on field, and promised to keep him if Kaif could do that. Both Kaif and Yuvraj did the same.

One of Kaif’s most important innings was in the 2003 WC match in Centurion vs Pakistan when he stitched a crucial partnership with Sachin when India lost 2 wickets back to back. That innings was worth its weight in gold.

He has been always so humble ❤️ A talented and really hard working player. The memories of his special knock outs are still fresh, used to look up to him & especially because I am from Prayagraj(Allahabad) I was really excited to see him in an engagement ceremony of his former teammate, who is my relative, lovely memory. Amazing interview ❤️

Sahi baat hai Ganguly is the one who started building team, dhoni ko to bas great player mil gaye the, dhoni was lucky not more than that.
Kaifu is undoubtedly the most humble and level hearted cricketer ever played for India , also kaifu was the best fielder to have played for India and was a complete match player , he was idle middle order batsman in that era between 2001 to 2006

Mohammad Kaif sahab was one of the best fielder India have ever produced, ofcourse he was a great batsman too. But if you see his fielding he had this very peculiar stance, he will fold both his knees & stand when the bowler is bowling, many don't know, but if you watch his old matches you will see his stance. A great sportsman & a true Indian. I Always held Kaif Sahab in very high esteem.
