I'm shocked because I have never been in NYC so I didn't know Europeans immigrated there today. If you didn't know, immigration is kinda hard these days unlike back then when almost any European could immigrate to the US. The policy is extremely restrictive and doesn't allow people who aren't skilled labour. How about you understand the context and history connected to that before you try to check someone.
