Aunt Voula is everyone's favourite! Can't wait to reunite with this family. Love them!
Love Andrea Martin👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿❤️❤️
Can't stand her . She's so annoying/ the worst member of the cast. So phony/ not believable.
Definitely! 😂
I love Auntie Voula since the first time I've heard she said "BIOPSY" hahahahahahahaha
Mine also
My Greek family and I have been waiting for this for like years. We’re gonna fill the theater just as they filled the plane🇬🇷🇬🇷
Yo I’m Greek and is too

I am an Indian, I loved watching this movie in theatre/ Netflix and more to say it’s my absolute favourite movies. Can’t wait to watch this one
Opa!!!!!
I’m not Greek, but the first is one of the best Rom Coms ever made AND aged SO well! I was worried they’d never get a full trilogy because the 2nd is a bit slower compared, but here we are! I’ll be watching in September! ❤
Why did you have to mention that you're not Greek?
Can't wait! OPA!
I'm super excited!!!
I cannot wait…opa! 🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷
It's very clear that you aren't. You didn't need to tell us😂
Greece is such a beautiful looking country. I wish more hollywood movies were shot there.
It's very polluted with plastic bottles everywhere
@@eily_b not as much as your trailer park in whatever sh-hole town in the U.S.A. you're from.
Not to mention they have some awesome metal bands. I highly recommend listening to Firewind, not only the best band from Greece but also one of the best power metal bands in existence. Gus G is a gem!
@@eily_b I traveled the islands and I didn't see a whole lot of garbage when I was there.
The big city on the mainland's was worse. Pollution and graffiti everywhere. It was a nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there. The islands were better.
It’s definitely on the rise after Mama Mia, Glass Onion filmed mostly in Greece
As an Italian, this hits so close to home. The cultures are so similar! I laughed and cried at this trailer. Can't wait to see the movie!
I felt the same way with this story, I am first generation argentine from Italian mother, the way my family emigrated was very similar… my nonno nonna… the whole family, makes me emotional every time I watch it.
Yep, this movie relates so much to my family, especially the first movie 😂
"Don't you know Italians are Greek!" Gus Portokalos.
He'll be missed.
Yep right on the nose
I love the Italians a Greek a Spanish folk ❤
Greek woman: pick the one we have for dinner
Ian: thank you. I am a vegetarian
Greek woman: No 🤣😂
So true!!!!
Reminds me of grandma 😂
I was a kid, she said let’s get ready for dinner and just cut the head of a chicken..
The headless chicken running still haunts me!
The only people who are allowed to be "vegetarians" in Greece are monastics.
Vegetarianism and veganism should be banned by law.
Bahaaa exactly my mom and my aunt’s reaction when I told them I wanted to eat less meat. They were like “this is a funny joke. Now help us cook the lamb”. And they grabbed me by the arm and told me to shut up 😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂
When I was a vegetarian in my younger days, I would get responses like that all the time. At least my Pappou tried to understand; he said, “Ok, we’ll make chicken then”😂 May his Memory be Eternal ❤️
I lost my Greek-American mom late last year, but neither of us was raised with the culture. We learned a lot from Nia's movies and I was further inspired to continue trying to learn the language (not easy for an old lady!) This one's gonna be hard for me, but I'll be in the theater on opening night.
My Pappou passed in 2021, we went to Greece together in 2017 and it was very similar to this. I miss him! And in 2016 when the 2’d movie came out I cried in the theater because my mom had just passed and she would have loved it. This trailer made me cry thinking about them but I can’t wait to watch because it makes me think of my family. ❤ my heart is with you!
Sorry for your loss. 🙁
It doesn't matter where you're from, or what you're family is. I'm nowhere close to being Malaysian, but I consider myself to be one. In fact, I'm not even Asian!
@@CooManTunes huh? How can you be from Malaysia and not be Asian?
@@krislv9219 Because I'm entitled. Pro'lem? Blame socialism.
Always proud of my Greek heritage. I went to santorini and recognize it from the trailer. Beautiful country, amazing people, great food😊
They were in Athens and corfu for filming the movie last summer
Santorini is for tourists.
@@melii01 In the first one they said their family was from Mykonos. Im glad they shot in Corfu though.
Santorini and Katerini are my home!!
This was the first movie I saw with my soon-to-be husband. We have now been married almost 20 years. It never gets old. I love their family so much.
Did you watch? I have a question.i don't wanna ruin nothing 4 you. I just saw it tngt and have question
Can't waiiiit....
As an Armenian these movies are the most relatable Hollywood movies ever😍😍😍 and I love Greeks
Is Armenia close to Greece?
@@coffeeandchaos_2456 yes.. there's Greece, then Turkey in the east and Armenia is in the east side of Turkey...so we're close..that's why I don't understand why Tula says they are not close in the movie😂
@@coffeeandchaos_2456it used to be close, but then the turks colonized greek land and ... yknow ethnically cleansed us smh. All of my greek great-grandparents are from Anatolia. They escaped, some fled to russia, others fled the fires and went to Thrake or Macedonia (the real Macedonia not the one that yugoslavia invented) others just grew up as orphans cuz parents got pew pewed.
And the actress playing Aunt Voula is Armenian
@@abluecassette no freaking waaaaayyy...I just checked it out and you were right😍😍😍
Excited to watch this! Cannot believe it's been 21 years since the first movie.
As a Greek I'm looking forward to it. OPA!🇬🇷
THE PORTOKALOS WILL BAAAAAAAAACK! The BEST Greek family!
Too bad for the father (RIP) He was one of the best part in the first and second movie
I got so sad watching this… I know it’s going to be funny but I really miss Michael Constantine. I’m sure he is smiling up in heaven :) RIP Gus Portokalos.. in the end, we all fruit 😂 🍎 🍊
I’m not even Greek, and I love this movie! Can’t wait!
I can’t wait for this. These movies are just the essence of joy, happiness, and escapism. I am so overjoyed they made a third one, came up with a good plot, and are keeping the fun going. If i had any complaint, it would be…so like is there a wedding in this one?
There's a wedding, definitely. Maybe in the end with Aristotle and the whole ghosted situation they're talking about.
going to Greece in the fall to reconnect with my roots and family. so excited
That's near the top of my bucket list. My people were from a little mountain village between Argos and Corinth. I wish you lots of fun and safe travels.
I can hardly wait to see this. I loved the first one. Gus proving how the Greeks created everything and finding proof had me laughing so hard because he reminded me so much of my Scottish Grandfather proving the Scots created everything. Just brought back so many wonderful memories of my loud Scottish family (my ex complained about me becoming loud when I was with them 😂).
I know right 😂 reminds me of my Portuguese grandpa doing the same
@@sebastiandomingos335I think a lot of us had " that" Grandpa😅
The song in the trailer is "Giorgos Alkaios & Friends - OPA" who represented Greece in Eurovision back in 2010!
Not crazy about the song ....could have chosen something else.
Love this song 🤘
I'm Mexican, and based on the movie I see a lot of similarities with our culture (e.g., big Family going everywhere) lol
I'm Greek and some of the best international friends I've made are Mexican and Colombian. So many similarities in life values and life hacks that we all learnt from our families. Such a pleasant surprise!
@@janeydoe901 so nice to read about your experience. Thanks for sharing 🙏
Same here
I visited Greece last year, it was only a few days but oh just watching this trailer makes me want to travel back and stay longer. Greek culture has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid. This movie looks like it’s going to have a great drama plot and still have that wonderful comedy that the previous two had.
Seeing this trailer and hearing ‘Opa’ has me even more excited to be in Greece in 3 weeks time!
cant wait! i love grease
John Corbett still looking good! 😍Excited for this, and also him coming back as Aidan in 'And Just Like That' season 2! It's his year.
I'm going to miss the lessons "give me a word, any word" and of course the "you're SOOO old!" insults from papa G 😂 but I'm here for it! ❤
I am from Albania and sometimes it looks like I see my family. I love this family
as Persian IDK why I'm here but I love this xD the whole time I was laughing and really similar culture between our two nations, that's surprised me every time!❤
love from old Iran to Hellas 🦁☀
We Love You! 🇬🇷❤️🇮🇷
@@SpartanLeonidas1821 I/We love you too my friend 🤗😘
I hope that we will soon take our country back from the mullahs so that the lion and the sun will shine on our flag like thousands of years ago!
I am ashamed and hate that the flag of my country currently has the symbols of Islam and Allah 🤦
“Pick the one we have for dinner.”
“Oh, thank you, uh, I’m a vegetarian.”
“…No.”
🤣
I love Nia Vardalos movies, with no exceptions. I can't wait for this!
How can ya tell em apart?
My boyfriend is Greek and this is always how the family meetinigs go :D
FINALLY!!!! a "My big fat greek weeding" recorded in GREEECEEE!!!! Hahaha I'm mexican but i love these movies, so excited to watch them coming back,
Me and my mom have been waiting for the part 3 so long I'm so proud to be Greek!
AAAAAAAAAAAAA, I can't wait. Serbian culture is heavily influenced by our Greek brothers. Jaja with picking chickens for dinner, brings me back to my childhood. We eat meat! :)
"No Aunt Voula he's a vegetarian, he doesn't eat meat"
"Ohhh okay that's OK I cook lamb"
We call grandma jaja too
Even if its not that good, you get excited for it just for how relatable it is for all Mediterranean/middle eastern families (Im half Turkish they are just like my family 😂)
This is definitely going to be my favorite trilogy. I cannot wait to see this. I just wish that my mother were still alive to see it with me. The first one was her favorite movies.
I love how Andrea Martin’s character throws the blonde girl under the bus 😂😂😂
Being Latino, I still identify with this movie very closely, especially since the father. Real shame Michael Constantine passed away before they could make the movie with him, he was always phenomenal.
Aunt Voula needs her own movie she’s the best 😂
I agree
Ugh I love this movie already , I have watched and own every one I live vicariously through this tv family for the one I never had . Can’t wait ❤️
The quick Windex shot 😂
Greece looks beautiful glad you filmed on location and not in a studio
Omg I live for this..I'm not even greek..I'm Filipino.😅😅😂
Anyone else get emotional watching this? I can’t wait!!! ❤❤
Me, they are family, even though we haven't met yet.🤣💯❤️
We may be different, but in the end we are all fruit! 😌 Ah we are gonna miss the father. R.I.P.
I can't wait to see it in theaters with my big fat Greek family
HOW HAVE I NEVER SEEN THESE FILMS?! I just watched the first two today and I love them
YAY!!! Can't wait to see it! Thank you all for making a 3rd one, woohoo! 🤩
I’m not Greek I’ve been to Greece and i can’t wait! 🇬🇷
As a latina, yes, count us in 😊❤
I may not be Greek (Italian on my mom’s side), but I can relate. And I can’t wait to see it
I remember that aunt on SCTV way back in the late 70s. I never thought she was funny at all. Now she steals every scene. hilarious.
My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3: A Slow Descent
In the world of cinematic sequels, the stakes are often high, and expectations can be even higher. "My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3" attempted to recapture the magic of the original film that stole our hearts years ago, but sadly, it falls short in several ways. While it's not entirely devoid of charm, this instalment lacks the spark and vivacity that made its predecessor a beloved classic.
One of the most glaring issues with this film is its pacing. The story unfolds at a sluggish pace, making the two-hour runtime feel like an eternity. Unlike the first film, which had a delightful energy and a constant sense of progression, this sequel meanders through its narrative, leaving the audience longing for more engaging moments.
A significant let-down in "My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3" is the script itself. The witty and culturally rich humour that defined the original is notably absent. It's almost as if the writer lost touch with the essence of Greek culture this time around. The vibrant characters from the first film are still present, but their interactions lack the depth and authenticity that made them endearing in the first place. It's as if the scriptwriter relied on recycled gags and stereotypes rather than exploring the richness of Greek traditions and family dynamics.
Moreover, the film struggles to find its footing when it comes to its storytelling. The original had a clear beginning, middle, and end, with a satisfying arc for its characters. In contrast, "My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3" feels disjointed and lacks a well-defined narrative structure. It fails to provide a compelling reason for revisiting these characters after all these years.
Despite a talented ensemble cast reprising their roles, including Nia Vardalos and John Corbett, the lackluster material they have to work with limits their ability to shine. While they do their best to inject life into the film, the uninspired script and plodding pace are significant obstacles to overcome.
In the end, "My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3" is a disappointing follow-up to a beloved classic. It struggles to capture the magic and charm of the original, feeling like a missed opportunity to further explore the cultural richness and humour that endeared audiences to this Greek-American family. While it may offer a few nostalgic moments for fans of the first film, it ultimately falls flat and leaves us wishing for a more inspired sequel.
My goodness! That is so well expressed!
Agreed 💯 %!

My big fat Greek wedding is now a trilogy
Trilogy=greek word!!! The spirit of Gus lives on😅😅😅😅
Oh my gosh! I cant wait to see this. I had no clue they were making a part 3 of this movie. This is one of my favorite movies! ❤❤❤
As an Bulgarian (living in western Europe), this is very close to my culture also (our neighbours), touching me deeply!
Already watched in kino and its amazing movie, love it!
Orthodoxia brothers (Bulgaria, Greece and Serbia). ❤
We are hellenic polytheists not your orthodox brethren.
As an Armenian I’m looking forward to it. OPAAAA!! 🇦🇲
Damn Nia, John and Andrea don't seem to have aged a day! they still look amazing :)
The women had face lifts
As a Greek girl, I CANT WAIT!!
Love from India❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ waiting eagerly
I’m Filipino and I’ll be in the front row at the theater! ❤🥹 I LOVE AUNT VOULA! They’re my family too! 🥹🥰💕
Nice to see more of the crazy aunt, everyone has an aunt a little like her. And nice to see them actually go to Greece. Santorini is beautiful (never been there just seen pictures). There you go.
As someone whose dad's family is Greek, the exact same thing happened when some relatives went to visit Greece. They found some very distant cousins and were just like "Relatives!"
I don't know if this is just something in my family tho, but cremation is not popular. Like the Greek Orthodox church gets mad if you get cremated because it's believed to interfere with God's plan for the body. all my Greek family had open coffin funerals.
Can't wait!
This must be a big deal because this is the second comment I’ve seen about cremation. I wonder why she chose a urn and not a memorial picture for the fireplace?
“I’m a vegetarian “
Pause.
“No.”
Hahahahaha
Still love the first one better
I cannot wait to see this movie. Been a long wait but worth it. Just love all of the My Big Fat Greek Wedding movies, Nia Vardalos you and everybody in these movies have outdone yourselves. We love the Greek culture. Thankyou for showing it to the world. Well done!!!🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍
OMG I CANT WAIT!!! I rewatch these all the time they are one of my favorite
My family loves this movie. It brings back so many good memories of my yiayia my Greek heritage!❤🇬🇷
“Oh I’m a vegetarian”
“No.”
💀💀Bravo yiayia🇬🇷👏
My best friend is half Greek and he is like a brother to me.

1:38 That flash of the big drum tells me Pontiac Greek/Tsamiko music and dance OPA CAN’t wait
Syrian, not Pontic. PS - The movie stinks!
Am I the only one who felt like this movie was written and acted by AI its kinda strange, the trailer looks much better than the actual movie
So true.. i was wondering why i had hard time understanding most parts of the movie. The script is so odd.
Spot on! And filled with political correctness..
I was rewatching the part 2 today and it was all laughs and crying for me, those two go down as some of the best movies ive ever watched
RIP Michael Constantine! You will be missed ❤️🤗🙏🏻
I can't wait, and I'm
not even a Greek!
I loved both 1st and 2nd movie!
Proud to be GREEK can't wait to see the film
I'm glad this movie that taught me about Greek family customs and a sense of togetherness is finally back
I cannot wait to watch this tmr, this is my send off to college godbless greek weddings
😂
I am so happy to have seen it. I cried and laughed. I am not Greek, but close geographically…apples and oranges, different but we all fruit ❤️🙏🏻
😅🍊🍏
First one was fantastic, 2nd ok, but the 3rd
was disappointing. They should have left well enough alone.
Hyped up promotion of this one was what led me to go see it.
Embarrassing and not funny.
Awesome movies I’m Lebanese so we’re just like the Greeks it’s so funny how this movie is a exact simulation to my family huge, loud, getting in your business etc.. lol
I love this franchise the most of em all
I love Nia's movies. I'm half Polish and my family was just like as hers. I am in the third generation but felt very much like the second generation divide. My mother was the overbearing partner who decided everything and I was the child who was always embarrassed by my family. 2:46
My parents were Dutch, and I can really relate to that!! Growing up in Australia with Dutch parents, especially my mother, who lived her life according to her own rules, lol.
My family are Greek Cypriots and i find these movies hilarious
I wish they made more movies like this. The scenery looks amazing! Can't wait to see it!
im not greek but i love these movies and I use them in my culture studies classes
❤
Should have been called MY BIG FAT GREEK REUNION.
I agree. The wedding was more Syrian than Greek.
Greeks don’t burn their deceased into ashes. Nia Vardalos knows that. She has strayed far from who Greeks are since the original first movie. If I watch the third, it’s to see the beauty of Greece only.
that's what I was thinking, I mean it looks great but they should have done some fact checking as this shows they may not know the culture as well as they think, Orthodox church does not allow cremation so it's inaccurate to have that
Admittedly it's very unlikely - given how proud Gus was of being Greek. But it is possible to get cremated in Greece - regardless of religion. The church doesn't like it, but ultimately it's up to the individual. Who knows....they may explain it in the film. Πολύ αγάπη από τιν Αγγλία :)
Unlike what you'll see in this film and what you could deduce be observing Greek-Americans, Greeks in Greece have joined the 21st century and do get the choice to be cremated, if they so wish.
My husband wad born and raised in Greece by Greek atheist parents.
He wasn't baptised neither were his siblings. None identify with orthodoxy and they all live in Greece.
You can be Greek and not be orthodox and get as many cremation as you wish.
Greece is in 2023.
Like 85% of religions & cultures are against cremation but a lot still do it regardless for their own reasons. Tomayto, Tomahto. 🥱
This was one of my favorite movies as a kid, I can’t wait!
I need this wholesome content in this cold world. One of the most natural cast chemistries I’ve ever seen. Love it ❤
I have gone to several Greek weddings and all I can say is wow! When is the next one, I felt just like family and it was awesome!
ugh I’m so excited and I can’t believe the trailer dropped while I’m in Greece having a small family reunion
The movie I didn't know I needed!!! Cannot wait.
I was surprised to see Alexis Georgoulis in the movie. I remember watching him in The Durrells.
The Durrells, now that’s good writing. Shame it had to end.
Great idea to release the trailer during Eurovision! Opa!
Such a pleasure to work on this production with you all!
Aunt Voula is an icon.
Family is everything
I can't wait for this, I love all the Greek family films.Hugs to all the cast!
This movie was so funny and when I went in theatres there were so much ELDERS.
I wish my Dad was still alive to see this!!! When the first movie came out he LOVED it. He is an Indigenous man (white passing) and very much not Greek 😂 and was engaged to a Greek woman well before he met my Mum (they never married, he and this woman, but he still never spoke ill of her, despite the messy breakup - or anyone for that matter). Everytime he saw this movie he's like THAT WAS MY LIFE. They were planning the adult christening and everything 😂 and always shouted ROYCE as a family whenever he entered the room. Idno, it's weird we obvi aren't Greek but these movies are so wholesome and fun, and remind me of him. ❤❤ It's going to be hard with her father having passed for this film, but I am still excited nonetheless. I actually happen to be going on a 20 day Greece trip this summer myself 😂 so it's perfect timing.
