- The LeFevres sing "I've Come Too Far" written by Nancy Harmon. Singers are Rex Nelon, Teresa McNeill Burrell, Alphus LeFevre, Ron Hutchins. Eva Mae LeFevre playing piano, Dean Townsend playing the Bass Guitar and Urias LeFevre playing the Rhythm Guitar.
I love this song. I remember hearing The Lefevers sing when I was a boy. Eva Mae was one of the greatest gospel pianists ever.
When I was in my 20's I played bass for The Gospel Brass we played a few venues with The LeFevres . Eva Mae was one of the sweetest people I ever met she spoke with me like she new me my whole life. Such a precious Lady
In my opinion, Alfus LeFevre had one of the sweetest and best tenor voices of anyone in Southern sacred singing. He never went after the fame and glory that many tenors did, but it's undeniable that his voice was first class quality.
His nephew Mylon went after fame and glory enough for everyone
Totally agree. Always, have loved this group..privileged to see them in person once.
MY OPINION ALFUS IS THE BEST TENOR❤❤
This is the way southern gospel is supposed to be sang!!!
I am so grateful to Mark Fuller and all the others who have posted all this wonderful LeFevres music on UA-cam. I grew up listening to the LeFevres. Listening to this music on Sundays now as I get ready for Church brings back that wonderful old feeling I had 60 years ago when I first knew the Lord. And yes, 60 years ago I was listening to the LeFevres Sing program out of Atlanta, then later the great Gospel Singing Caravan!
Just found this a few months ago. The finish line is getting so close and this has almost become like a mantra.
The thing i like about this singing and this family they was not putting on a. Show or trying to impress people sang for their savoiour and God's glory hungry for that today
Amazing Rex Nelon! Superb, Heaven Gains as they have Rex Nelon,Jd Sumner,George Younce and Brock Speer❤
One Of Nancy's Best Songs Ever !!!!
Oh how this takes me back. Tears! Tears of happiness and salvation, and memories of my Nanaw and PawPaw. God bless ya'll, so much.
Some of the sweetest gospel music and singing I have ever heard!
@James hama I'm doing it by faith In Jesus
I've known the LeFevres all my life and there is no one can sing as good as them
Thank you for the update. True gospel music will not be the same, but the celestial choir is much sweeter . Peace to her family ~
This is classic; irreplaceable sound and sincerity.
Hallelujah ❤
Sure brings back memories.
uncle Alf had a smile you could see he loved Jesus.
Love this song dearly
The one playing the organ did an excellent job. Wasn't overpowering but you knew it was there and blended in beautifully.

SHE'S SINGING IN HEAVEN
Hahaha...I love how they dedicated the song to "especially any shut-ins". This was before mental health care was a thing...

I wish that at one point that they would have just let Teresa go at it..that woman had an amazing voice...does anyone know what she is doing Now?
She passed away about 5 years ago. She was a wonderful woman and a phenomenal singer!

Mylon's Momma!
That’s why I’m Watching. Is Theresa his mom?
@@davedwave7 No. Eva Mae is the pianist here and she is Mylon's mom.
And Kelly's dad on bass
When Gospel singing women didn't dress like strumpets.
Define strumpet
@@rileysummers484 look in a dictionary
@@rileysummers484 So no hello? Or, how are you doing?Just a command, an order to define a word? You must be a General in the military. Sorry, I'm not one of your subordinates. However, I'll give you a hint and then a piece of advice. A trollop is first cousin to a slattern. There is a thing called a "dictionary," which will define most words. Have a good day.
Wow, I was simply asking you to define the word you used, I never claimed to be superior to you nor did I give you an order, that all came from you. Generally when I ask someone to define something it’s because I don’t want a dictionary definition, I was looking for your thought process, not Merriam Webster’s. You were the one who decided to get offended.
@@rileysummers484 Not offended. Just trying to help you to be courteous and polite. A strumpet, slattern, trollop, ect is a woman who dresses in an immodest way which accentuates her body with intent to entice or seduce for immoral purposes. That is against the Bible which teaches women to be shamefaced and modest. Most so called Gospel singing women today load up with cosmetics, jewelry, and ungodly apparel. The Lefevres believed in Bible holiness. Except for Mylon who backslid and became a doper. Even though he had more talent than most of his family.
