PFD Ladder 5 & Battalion 1 Responding

11.16.13 Philadelphia Fire Department Ladder 5 & Battalion 1 responding to a fumes assignment with Engine 11. Ladder 5 is a 2007 ALF (EX-Ladder 1) and Battalion 1 is a 2004 Chevy Tahoe. They are housed together, along with Medic 35B (seen returning here), at Broad and Fitzwater Streets along the Avenue of the Arts in South Philadelphia.

Is there a Engine 1 and ladder 1

There used to be until 2009. Ladder 1 was with Engine 13 in North Philadelphia but was closed. Ladder 1's truck is now Ladder 5 seen here. Engine 1 used to be housed here with Ladder 5. They're old truck is now a spare.

I've noticed on your videos that all the other Bn. Chiefs have newer vehicles. Don't they like Bn. 1? LOL Seriously, will he be getting a new buggy soon?

Lol. Yes, these 2004 Tahoes are the oldest. BN1 will be getting a 2014 Tahoe in the coming weeks. As well as 2 other chiefs and ES 4 and ES 5 replacing those old Excursions.

Ryan Olsen Its not really call volume. These were just the newest at one point. When they got the 2006 Expeditions, those replaced 1995 GMC Suburbans and the 2008 Expeditions replaced a 1997 Yukon (BN7), a 1999 Yukon (BN8), a 2000 Excursion (BN13) and a 2003 Tahoe (BN10). Now its time for BN1, 2 and 9.
