In 1984 I used to ride like that on the Autobahn with my friends. I had an '84 Kawasaki GPz1100. Those were some of the best days of my life. Cherish them, guys. Be safe and take care.
As an experienced rider on the 2000 zx12r, ive raced a 2009 busa 1300 and it was also slightly built (exhaust, power commander3) and i still pulled on him a good 3 vehicle lengths in a 2 mile stretch. Ive ridden the R1, Busa 1300, gsxr1000, and many other bikes. Although the zx12 lacks in the cornering, it makes up for it on the straights. I personally wouldnt build any other bike for a drag other than the zx12r. I personally believe that Kawasaki got the weight/ power ratio PERFECTLY!
What. The 12 lacks nothing in the turns. I crush liter bikes all day. I have guys I've been ridng with for 20 years saying I can't believe how well that thing handles in the twistys. It's a great machine all over. With he right setup busa are nowhere to be found. I hunt um for the pure enjoyment of watching thier faces as I walk past them at 180 190 200. U should see the guys on these newer bikes. There like holt shit that thing is fast. And it's 20 years older than their bikes. Ur not gonna outrun a new s1000rr or a zx10r but they don't have much on u. I'll keep my 17 plus thousand dollars and be happy knowing I'm faster overall 😌
@MikeBusa1976 Like the other guy said, the 2000 zx12r was the fastest bike ever. No restrictions. The speedo was going up to 340km/h - 220mph. Its one bad ass bike.
Only ZX12R A1H version had full power and less weight = REAL! 200Mph = 320 Kmh... The official V-max was 308 Kmh but to the day,I have'nt been beaten by a Busabitch...😅
The 4-valve per cylinder allowed more air to rush in and with a balance shifter working at all RPM, the gearshifts were smooth and quick. Kawasaki installed the Nipondenso Fuel Injection system to the ZX-12R with 46mm Fuel injector which was one of the most advanced injectors available at that time and had a special feature to spray fuel directly onto the intake valve for quick combustion and more power.
I had a 12r great looking bike , it 2021 Now I have a 14r lot Quicker than 12r Not that I ride at crazy pace any more Even that the 14r has been overtaken Now by other bikes , I was out the other Day a Ductai latest v4 pulled up , he Spent $ 42000 DOLLARS , it ran OK Untill first service , it KEPT stalling Now Dangerous , Had it remaped OK now , but now only gets 150 k.m Untill light comes on , we rode 80km Untill we stoped again , the First comment Was that 14 r is a weapon , you see it Was windy and the road not smooth That the end of SPORTBIKES , You see the 14r weight is 260 Kg against 200 Kg this is real rideing , the 14r is more Planted plus a Engine with lots of POWER and it best Strength Torque , which makes 14r SMOOTH AND FLOWING , What is this Quick Shifter crap most the way I USED 5 AND 6 gear it make you more Flowing I PAID $ 14,000 against $ 42000. Ductai Nice bike if you got lots money To throw about
I had the green one & a red one. Always wanted the black & gold colour scheme though 😒 Nowadays the riding position might kill my back but I think it'd be worth it. On an open pipe they sound juuuust like a bike should sound.
The heavy hyperbike had 161.2 Bhp at disposal. The first generation of the Ninja ZX-12R touched the fantasy mark of 200mph or 320 km/h but from the next edition was introduced with the speed limiter which electronically limited the maximum speed at 299 km/h. The bike was massive and heavy and somewhat unpopular due to its size and crazy power delivery which scared many
Do a search on UA-cam for fast bikes series 3 which included the ZZr 1100, blackbird, Busa and the 1200, very interesting especially the top speed runs.
this 12 is a restricted model.you can see the golden brake calipers, the black swingarm and the black colour of the 2002.A1 unrestricted available only in silver, red and green without graphics, and yes a stock busa gen 2 cant catch a A1 12. :)
ive just read these comments from the busa champ...i own a 2000 zx12 r a1 which was in the guiness record holder for 2000 with 312km to 306 to busa...i still own the magazine and thats a fact...anything else is just bullshit
Bro when kawa came out it was hauling ass especially the A models. My engineer has a fully turbo build 437whp busa and a daily busa full slip ons build and told me that the 12R stock to stock is a much faster machine than anything it rolls from that era and with few bold ons it can destroy much quicker on paper modern bikes
With huge curvy aerodynamic fairing around the bike, Ninja looked like a beast. The bike had huge air scoops and split headlamps stacked like eyes. Kawasaki made the bike as powerful as it could be with devilish looks which attracted many. The console had many analogue dials with speedometer being the only digital meter in the console. The three-spoke alloy wheel added to the distinct looks of the bike and made it very attractive to look at.
These dudes be acting like they scared to redline the zx12r, this dude was getting smoked, the zx12r can do over 200mph but dude ain't got the balls to push it to the limit, im off this!!!
The Ninja ZX-12R held the record of being the fastest production bike from 2001-2005 after which it was discontinued to make way for Kawasaki’s next flagship model, the ZX-14R. The heated rivalry with Suzuki finally forced the company to make necessary changes to their flagship model. The ZX- 14R had an engine capacity of 1399cc and till date, this new model holds the record of being one of the fastest production bikes in the world.
How the fuck a 2001 restricted bike holds the record when ALL other brands have the same limiter ? Stop riding those payed bullshits and focus on facts. 2000 model was the fastest zx12r of the production, and the world record of speed from a production bike was and will be helded long time by 1999 hayabusa. This info is not writed in one particular magazine,is around the world fact. You love your bike,i understand,i see from the "reposting" of your beloved magazine...but,,,,come on!!!
you still don't get it. Not the amount of hp is the key for hi top speed, there is dozens of motorcycle wit a lot more hp than hayabusa, but manage to go for only 280+ km/h real speed. Slippery shapes, aerodynamics is the key, hayabusa has the most slippery surface, alot more aerodynamic than zx12 and zx14,it require less hp to break wind resistance than other bikes, thats why every speed record is helded, and tried on hayabusa, not on zx10,zx14,zx12,r1,k1200s etc. Not displacement and hp make you go further. get it? or your pride wont let you?
I have the two motorcycles , hayabusa 2000 and kawa zx12r 2002 , and the busa is more fast in 1/4 mile and top speed , both spark plug iridium, both yoshimura exhaust, both Gipro Atre no limiter
This busa is slow af, everybody is passing it, and the zx12 although ten years older left it in the dust. Busa bro, most overrated bike of all time. Kawasaki is the king, busa is just a pretender.
Time and time again the busa is beaten by a 12, and busa enthusiast just can't get it in they head, and the restrictions were placed due to the 203 speed the zx12 placed by minor mods of aftermarket exhaust and mirror removal, check ya facts before ya comment

and bikes have their own stamp, that makes them different (and from my tests not close in performance at all). Zx12 is a fuel eater, easier to lay down and better bike for curves. Zx power is 3hp more peak, but busa powerband has more hp and torque everywhere except last 1k rpm.Hayabusa is harder to turn, but is a lot stable at speed, more aerodynamic (need less hp to advance through air),more comfy (for me and few others),IT IS faster than zx12 till 300km/h and over, and has more top speed (busa from 1999 ,zx from 2000). About acceleration and top speed,to be more specific: from a dig, busa is faster accelerating bike 0 - over 310km/h ; from random roll on,busa is again faster, from zx powerband ~ 11k rpm ninja slightly go ahead 3-4 bikes ,but busa catch up in 5th gear. Next time me and my friends meet again,i`ll post some video footage.
The busa is comfy for short guys. Not so much for tall riders. Depends on each individuals. The Busa does have a little advantage when it comes to launching because of a longer wheel base and a lower profile. The ZX12R is a taller and lighter making it much better for corners. The busa has better aero since it is lower to the ground, but the ZX12R somewhat makes up for it with power and weight. They are pretty much dead even in a straight line. The busa has the edge though. The Busa has a slight advantage on take off since it is a longer bike. Rider skill would make the difference when it comes to which is fastest. For me I took the ZX12R because its a better all around motorcycle (especially when it comes to cornering) I'm quite tall and it fits me much better too, and personally I find the 12 looks much better to the eye too. Never rode a busa though. I'm sure I would like it. It comes to personal preference, performance wise they are neck to neck.
***** as a zx12r owner in New Zealand ,it was a gas guzzler for sure, but better handling around the twisty stuff than the H., with shorter wheel base the same as the rf900, but I might agree certainly no stronger than the H
😝😝😝😝 He couldn’t even catch The ZX 12 R ! I thought they were supposed to be the fastest production bike in the world? I had a 2006 Nana have a 2003 ninja ZX 12 R
Yehhhh me too. Had mine 5 years now although not many places to try out and out top speed but on acceleration it leaves everything behind if you can keep the front down. 😁
***** actually that's not true. It did beat the blackbird though when it came out for sure. I agree with you on that. When the Zx12 came out, that bike had more hp than the busa. I still got the magazine on the two models. However in testing, it's not always about high hp. They look at everyday use, who has the best brakes and which bike felt the safest. In 2006 the busa most definitely didn't have more hp than the 1352cc. In 08 busa went through some changes which made the bike more aerodynamic that the 1352 from Kawasaki and it was easier to set faster 1/4 times than the zx but on a top end level, it still lacked hp to beat it in a long stretch. In 2012 Kawasaki changed the body up which helps aid the bike in the aerodynamic area in an addition to even more hp. Busa was without a doubt the best in 99.
Would have been interesting to see what would have happened if the Busa rider stopped backing off so much! Looked like he just wanted to perve at the zx12s ass!
@toxic reaper. As long as specs goes,zx12 and old/new hayabusa have similar weights, not enoigh for being a decisional factor in the cornering departament. Second, hayabusa aerodynamics are not provided from lower center of gravity but from tons of money and hours in wind tunnels resulting that weird slippery shape;and the last "ps" ,at speed of triple digits a less slippery vehicle require alot more horses to break wind resistance even for gains as minimal as 1mph; thats why 173 crank hp of busa, wind her at a higher speed than most of powerfull and lighter contenders. Zx12 have 5hp over a first gen busa wich didnt help at all,and here we talking about second gen busa, wich is stronger.
i wouldnt like to argue with other guys but i have the opinion the best ever made bike was honda nr the first bike with ovel pistons and oval cylynders and was many years ago...
Mi ZX12 `01 es la última restilyng sin limitar, es un verdadero cohete y corre más que cualquier Busa sin modificar. #Hayabusakiller La pueden ver en mi perfil o canal (como prefieran llamarlo).
zx14 was kawasaki latest efforts in trying to beat old busa. At first ,they try with zx12 and was a FAIL. zx12 is a FAIL compared to 1st gen busa,is a out of production bike
I`ve tested against my bike, 2 of them (zx12r), none could catch busa from start, and only from 3rd gear rolls they can keep in 3,4 and 5th busa gears.both zx cant keep up when busa pass 310km/h,right after entering 6th gear. 99 hayabusa is the one tested, and I put hands in fire for my supposition, not a "google research" or rumors ,only facts, not paied magasines facts, real life facts. Is my research, and I sustain this.
yes, indeed! and longer gears to ;) ZX14 has more cc and shorter gears also, but this is it! stock for stock zx14 is better! "if" busa is geared shorter,it will be quicker, but is not. Zx12 is a highly compressed engine and favorites more HP from less cc compared with busa low compression engine, but like i sad before, more torque and more aerodinamics made busa what it is.
Show me real world data where you have gone over 310 KPH. I don't believe you and no one else does either. you're just like every 16 year old who claims to own the fastest bike in the world.
You Kawi nuts can brag about the ZX12, but when I put a 16 tooth front sprocket on my Busa you guys stopped laughing. I shot pass 12's when they where revving up to pass cars in traffic, all 6ft, 250lbs of me.
In 1984 I used to ride like that on the Autobahn with my friends. I had an '84 Kawasaki GPz1100. Those were some of the best days of my life. Cherish them, guys. Be safe and take care.
you are so lucky to have no limit
I'v got the same fun here in Vienna on a GPZ 750 Turbo...........................
As an experienced rider on the 2000 zx12r, ive raced a 2009 busa 1300 and it was also slightly built (exhaust, power commander3) and i still pulled on him a good 3 vehicle lengths in a 2 mile stretch. Its a Monster no doubt!
My man! Zx12r all the way!
Spot on...👍
What. The 12 lacks nothing in the turns. I crush liter bikes all day. I have guys I've been ridng with for 20 years saying I can't believe how well that thing handles in the twistys. I’m with doitright, I own a zx12r. I’ve had it for about 1 5 years. It lacks nothing.
A1 Zx12r smoke all busa's
@MikeBusa1976 Like the other guy said, the 2000 zx12r was the fastest bike ever. No restrictions. The speedo was going up to 340km/h - 220mph. Its one bad ass bike.
Wat about the 2004 ZX12R isn't it the fastest too ?
nope, restricted to 186mph after the A1 model
Only ZX12R A1H version had full power and less weight = REAL! 200Mph = 320 Kmh...

ZX-12R Masterpiece!!!
For an older bike, the ZX12R is still kicking ;)
Both crazy fast machines!
12 kicks ass
Zx12r ninja Best bike ever made i had two the 2000 green lemon and 2004 Grey whith original exhaust titanium she still my favorite bike 😎
I had a 12r great looking bike , it 2021
Now I have a 14r lot Quicker than 12r
Not that I ride at crazy pace any more
Even that the 14r has been overtaken
Now by other bikes , I was out the other
Day a Ductai latest v4 pulled up , he
Spent $ 42000 DOLLARS , it ran OK
Untill first service , it KEPT stalling
Now Dangerous , Had it remaped
OK now , but now only gets 150 k.m
Untill light comes on , we rode 80km
Untill we stoped again , the First comment
Was that 14 r is a weapon , you see it
Was windy and the road not smooth
That the end of SPORTBIKES ,
You see the 14r weight is 260 Kg against
200 Kg this is real rideing , the 14r is more
Planted plus a Engine with lots of POWER
and it best Strength Torque , which makes
14r SMOOTH AND FLOWING , What is this
Quick Shifter crap most the way I USED
5 AND 6 gear it make you more Flowing
I PAID $ 14,000 against $ 42000.
Ductai Nice bike if you got lots money
To throw about

Mmmm that why only MEN buy and ride them and not let loose on boys..to own and ride a ZX12R you have to be very disaplined with your right hand .
this 12 is a restricted model.you can see the golden brake calipers, the black swingarm and the black colour of the 2002.A1 unrestricted available only in silver, red and green without graphics, and yes a stock busa gen 2 cant catch a A1 12. :)
Silver, red or green WITH graphics...😉
My 2002 A2 is lightning blue. Silver swing arm, matt silver calipers . Never seen a black swing arm model ?.
@@davespragg4570 03 has black swing arm. I have one.

Zx12r is built to beat busa stock same rider level and same way tuned 12r win 8/10

my ass dyno said the 2000 zx-12 is a monster when that ram air kicks in hold the fuck on snaps a 140 so fast.
Yes it Freaking does!!! I own one!
Yes it does
Kawi did their homework on that bike!
ZX-12R THE BEST
I think you’re absolutely right.
The Ninja ZX-12R held the record of being the fastest production bike from 2001-2005 after which it was discontinued to make way for Kawasaki’s next flagship model, the ZX-14R.
Get facts straight
Zx14 06-11
Zx14R 12 - present

***** single minded, and biased? there very equal bikes with the zx12r having 100 less cubes.
Jeremy Lehman yes sir
My love zx12.... Forever
the Busa, and ZX12r are very equal bikes with the zx12 having 100 less cc's.
And still beats the hell out Busa

3 years later this comment is still true af. 02 b1 smokes unrestricted.

The ZX- 14R had an engine capacity of 1399cc and till date, this new model holds the record of being one of
the fastest production bikes in the world.
ZX12Rs have analog speedometers. 220mph on the A models, 200mph on the B models. I've gone 191mph and climbing (indicated) on my B3.
@@AlexLopez-vx3cr i just picked up my a1 it has 190 on the speedometer
@@AlexLopez-vx3cr a2 has a 190 speedo. A1 has a 220 speedo.
@@kylecampbell3039 someone changed the speedo. It should have a 220 speedo
He can't catch the 12
and bikes have their own stamp, that makes them different (and from my tests not close in performance at all).
Even in that fast speed have seen some bike cruising past you
😝😝😝😝 He couldn’t even catch The ZX 12 R ! I thought they were supposed to be the fastest production bike in the world? I had a 2006 Nana have a 2003 ninja ZX 12 R
Wow. Those bike are going everywhere
I love my 12R....
Yehhhh me too. Had mine 5 years now although not many places to try out and out top speed but on acceleration it leaves everything behind if you can keep the front down. 😁
Wow im impressed with that zx12
The Kwaka looks tougher. The Busa looks soft.
zx12r a1 for ever
Wow those zx12r pull hard even with that small motor. Only 1199cc !
I got a 2000 zx12r and its a joy to ride and a shit load of power i dont see how you beat that i love mine ...
C'è gente che può andare in confusione a vedersi sorpassare da due proiettili, uno a destra e uno a sinistra. PERICOLOSISSIMO e poco rispettoso.
Kawasaki 12R booom.....what a power....!!!!! ;)
ZX 12... Rippin. Busa needs a reflash. 200 mph then! Or awfully close... Hats off to the 12 rider. Balls... ... J... Busaman
ZX12 still on top that's why I got one all my boys have the busa and the gsx I'm just
a ZX guy ;p
Had my zx12R now 24 years
We still go 300km/h two up.
My wife calls it her boyfriend 😂😂
Would have been interesting to see what would have happened if the Busa rider stopped backing off so much! Looked like he just wanted to perve at the zx12s ass!
Yup
Not bad for a 20 Year old Motorcycle, Kawa rules, Greetings from Vienna, Chris.
IVE GOT A ZX12R AND PREFER IT TO THE HUNGRY HIPPO IN EVERYWAY. CMON SUZY CATCH UP.........
When the flag drops, the bullshit stops.
Father forgive them 😢they definitely know what they're doing 😮
Busa is going well for a Sport Touring 👉👌 vs a Super sport, bike✌️😁
Вы безбашенные, но сука - какой же кайф этот адреналин😊
That's why I've bought the proper bike!
And it is?
Any suggestions?
That's right ZX12 all the way
Дух захватывает. Браво!)
You could have picked better lanes to run in. Nothing like closing on traffic at over 100 difference.

ZX-12r A1 No1

i wouldnt like to argue with other guys but i have the opinion the best ever made bike was honda nr the first bike with ovel pistons and oval cylynders and was many years ago...
Awesome
Beautiful. Cool.😊

Yo. I have the zx12r. Custom i put noz nitro n the. Crazy There no bike faster than. Zx12r oh yeah the zx14r the only one can beat it
you squid the zx 12r is the fastest production bike on earth
the 2000s kawa run over 300
after that all bikes are lmited @ 299kmh
Zx12 is super fast
🤝👍😀
I can argue with that Eric
Busa rider keeps backing off
Where is this at?
Turkey
Mi ZX12 `01 es la última restilyng sin limitar, es un verdadero cohete y corre más que cualquier Busa sin modificar. #Hayabusakiller La pueden ver en mi perfil o canal (como prefieran llamarlo).
Autobahn?
BS. .Busa rider not balls out. .too scared to go
the busa holds the record?????r u kidding me dude u need to read more
Omf my busa goes 350 on the speedo. But it has never ever reached that speed on a gps haha all bikes are restricted to 300kph.
Not a BMW RR, A Ducati 1299, or a MVaugusta
Bullshit
@@Sabumnim666 yes they are. U have to have them replaced to remover the restrictions.
Zx12 isn't restricted
zx14 was kawasaki latest efforts in trying to beat old busa. At first ,they try with zx12 and was a FAIL. zx12 is a FAIL compared to 1st gen busa,is a out of production bike
you might want to do some research
I`ve tested against my bike, 2 of them (zx12r), none could catch busa from start, and only from 3rd gear rolls they can keep in 3,4 and 5th busa gears.both zx cant keep up when busa pass 310km/h,right after entering 6th gear. 99 hayabusa is the one tested, and I put hands in fire for my supposition, not a "google research" or rumors ,only facts, not paied magasines facts, real life facts. Is my research, and I sustain this.
remember now the busa also has 100 more cubes as well.
yes, indeed! and longer gears to ;) ZX14 has more cc and shorter gears also, but this is it! stock for stock zx14 is better!
Zx12 kraldır.
seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ya!
Kawasaki ist Kawasaki....
Wtf man use the gear, 6th all the day lol
Redlining that 6th tho... where's the rpm gonna come from to dig deeper in 5th? It ain't happening
Coitada da Hayabusa kkkkkkkkkk
lol
You Kawi nuts can brag about the ZX12, but when I put a 16 tooth front sprocket on my Busa you guys stopped laughing. I shot pass 12's when they where revving up to pass cars in traffic, all 6ft, 250lbs of me.
Your camera stability sucks!!!
fools
La zx12r es mucha moto
