As a foreigner that recently started studying Thai, your videos bring me so much joy (and inspiration to have these types of interaction with Thai people in the future). Thanks for the great content mate 🙏
It's so nice to see how friendly and cheerful everyone is. (Much like the Thais you spoke with at the festival in Darwin). The positivity appears deep-rooted amongst expats all over the world. In late 2022 a friendly Thai woman struck up a convo with me at Suvarnabhumi departures. She'd been living in Ireland for 30-odd years having married an Irish man. Definitely got me curious about Thai diaspora in this part of the world.
Hope your Enjoying England Paddy. You was the first falang I ever saw spoke Thai when I watched one of your videos and helped inspire me to speak Thai. 1 year later, I understood pretty much all of that Thai, just a few words I didn't know.
Paddy your thai is super good I can only dream that one day I can speak thai as fluently as you! Been slowly learning and learning keep these videos up!
As someone learning Thai as my first language beyond my native language, a big struggle of mine has been not being perfect with the language. My best recommendation for anyone out there is to never strive for perfection but being understood as that is the whole point of communication with a language in the first place. I have been livong in Thailand for a year and a half and I still hot people with "a-rai na" everyday. Keep you mental up and the small successes because they mean the most. Thanks Paddy for all the great vids. Looking forward to the next one!
Love this festival! Spent too much money there this year when it was at Poole. I'd literally just got back from Thailand about 3 hours before going so I had a big shopping list
@@ThaiTalkwithPaddy Please keep the videos coming :D (long story short, you are the reason i'm going to Thailand to learn to to speak and read / write Thai, Thank you Paddy)
Thx 4 sharing this. I skid love Thailand 🇹🇭, its culture , food, people & language. I also practice speaking done basic Thai. But only 10% of your level. Wow
There are many 1000's! I used to attend various summer festivals and they were all great, as was visiting the temple at Wimbledon for Loy Krathong in November, you had to wrap up well though. Now I live happily in Thailand.
Love it --- this is great for practicing listening skills in Thai --- with the English subtitles ... brilliant. Please keep them coming --- even talking more slowly is also fine for intermediate listeners. Many thanks Paddy!
Loved the young woman's reaction @9:40 It's as if she immediately recognised your voice but for a moment couldn't understand how it wasn't echoing from her device haha
I really like these videos of yours) I often think how cool it would be to have a chance encounter with you on Koh Samui)) P.S. And yeah, I'm still waiting for the video with Alex and her twin sister)) I will write this under every new video of yours))
Great vid! I am watching this from where I live in.......Hua Hin. Monsoon Valley wine is very good, and a trip to the vineyard for lunch is a must do for visitors to the town! It has fantastic views of the area, and is a really goood scenic drive.
Really loved this Paddy. Thai people are all over the world. I have many Thai students in my school at Ashfield. They don't all speak Thai. Really important to remain connected to your roots. Your friend with the really broad English accent 555.
Great video Paddy, makes me want to go to Portsmouth. I can't believe Chu has been in England for 25 years and she went there as a Uni student. She looks young and beautiful. You two look good together, and have the same laugh! Come on Paddy....man up, ask her out 😀
Great vid, Khun Paddy. You are a great conversationalist (and Thai speaker!) I love the vibe of this video and how respectful and funny you approach Thai people. This is the true essence of the land of smiles. It seems you bring out the best side in Thai people also even in Britain. Would you say people are home sick also?
I wish you would have told the price for the papaya salad. I am in the middle of the US and I went to a Thai restaurant yesterday. It was 1200 Baht for a pad kra pao and 2 singha. And the pad kra pao did not even have the egg on top.
Hey Paddy, we met in McDonalds a few months ago in Bangkok when you were with a few other UA-camrs, I shock Thais all the time here in Scotland with my ability to speak Thai😂
Sawadie kap non Danny. Can you ask the boss lady if I can bring my icecream van there next year, ofcourse there would be a contribution to the community 🎉🎉🎉🎉😊

best thai question: มีแฟนไหม ทำไมถึงพูดภาษาไทยเก่ง 😂😂 legends say "every farang who speaks thai well" still trying to convince thai people about not having BF/GF yet
@@danielpenso6815 it definitely does but I find those ultimately boring/fake like mock off version of kdrama, it contains so unnecessary drama for my time but it definitely does help with speaking
@@danielpenso6815 to add salt to the injury, I have Thai friends who are complaining about the same issue who is created by their society when they speak English well. Their first question is "do you have english boyfriend, how did you learn it so well" This is quite agonizing in the long run, people don't need to love someone to learn their language, it is yet annoying because the deep down this question is asked to determine the invisible class system of the person. This is a very common question in Asian culture, not just in Thailand but it is little annoying over time
@@mr_wormhole Well, obviously the question is annoying but there is so much stuff you learn in deep relationships - nowadays though a comment section can be a substitute because there's such a great variety of speakers.

What a brilliant video Paddy. I love how you lose yourself to your own laugh. You smashed it with that eggplant joke, had them in stitches.
Paddy had them dripping!
So funny! Loved this one
Great vid looks like really positive vibes at the festival. The banter with with dancers was fun & the 80 year old lady was amazing
