Great to have been part of the audience; even better seeing the final product on You Tube. Congratulations Shannon! Keep doing what you’re doing! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I live in Boston. I remember in college someone told me I shouldn't talk behind people's backs. I corrected her and said "Oh, no. I say this to their face." There was a guy in school that I didn't get along with. He was the kinda guy who would walk into a room, everyone would go "Ok, let's get going." and he would say "Hey, guys where are we going?". So I sat him down and explained to him that he's always free to visit our place because he's friends with my roommate, BUT I don't like him. He clapped me on the back and said I was one of his best friends... To be fair he got me, I had no comment to that, other then to wonder why his skull didn't have it's own gravity well.
Great set. And bad wine is honest, the sommelier just hopes you don't imagine something he did not smell first, or does because you know the kitchen staff drink any bottles sent back not used in a sauce.
@@kanedaku Well I was slightly wrong anyway. It's slang for gonorrhea. "The drip" is a slang term for gonorrhea, a common sexually transmitted infection (STI)
Shannon Fiedler, It sounds like your niece is talking through WhatsApp emojis. Since children spend so much time on social media throughout the day, it's no surprise they've created a "vernacular" that uses emojis. You also use a local language. It's just that while English is spoken in most countries, emojis are "spoken" everywhere in the world that people surf social media! In the coming years, all countries will be connected to the Internet, which will make the language your niece speaks the most spoken language in the world. This is progress towards the first technological language that imposes a more complex thinking ability. BE PROUD OF YOUR NIECE.
I like your observation. It reminds me a lot of William S. Burroughs theory that language is a virus. And whoever controls the language controls the virus. I find language to be trippy and its development over time intriguing and at times a little scary as well.
@I-M-G just talking about the subject of language in general. You mentioned a few things about language evolving. You talk about technological language and complexities... Nothing too crazy.
"Sheesh" started to be used in the 50s. I've used it my whole life and I'm 44. It still means the same thing. It's a derivative of "jeez". Pretty common emotional expression in English, not some newfangled generational slang.
I would like it more if it wasn't the same tired all dating-is-hard-but-wow-i-got-married shtick from 20 years ago. where's the differenciation, the overarching arc, the personality? room to improve, cause the dry delivery is flawless
You are a vivid descriptor and honest storyteller. However, your high regard for morality takes a lot of “sting” out of your jokes. Be more miserable. I was entertained in a story slam way.
In the first 10 minutes you've mustered nothing but re-hashed jokes from the last 10 years of comedy: 1. omg i'm a woman who is 30-something and no longer 20-something, so confusing! 2. omg gen Z has such weird slang! 3. omg first dates are so tough, they're totally a weird interview, like siblings amirite? i follow you on insta and expected more. stick to reels.
You’re a class act so I’d suggest you avoid dropping the F bomb. We spoke on the app a year or so ago and you’re more interesting than ever with a broad scope. I like your change of pace too. Keep up the good work! Dick Winslow author, Terminal Call.
Might be the worst thing I've listened to while watching MotoGP practice sessions...thank you ma'am...please stay married, especially if that poor hubby puts a baby in you
Wow lots of critics in the comments. You are taking off, Shannon! You are prime right now, prime! 🎉

It's just THAT. ..... and the Nationwide jingle.... 😂😵🤣
Right!?
So legit re-watching just because this response & I've done nothing but relate HARD for the most minutes of my life consecutively 😂
Drip is slang for syphilis. I guess technically it's 'the drip.'
Great set.
The meaning I know for drip is jewellery, and accessories.

I have no idea how this reminds you of that.
I didn't write anything like language is like a virus.

I wonder if she knows she has ocd 😅
F Bomb
Where are the jokes?
Good jokes but she needs to work on her delivery a little. Sounds toooo memorized like she’s reading a play out loud.
Good material. Not great delivery. It feels like me trying to retell a joke where it falls flat.

This is the greatest comment I’ve ever read on a UA-cam video and I didn’t even watch the special

Even though I can’t relate to most of her jokes, she’s kind of adorable and pretty funny. Rich girl humor, kind of like sex in the city.
