RIM-162 Evolved SeaSparrow Missile and RIM-116 Rolling Airframe Missile Systems
Counter rocket, artillery, and mortar, abbreviated C-RAM or counter-RAM, is a set of systems used to detect and/or destroy incoming rockets, artillery, and mortar rounds in the air before they hit their ground targets, or simply provide early warning.
The Phalanx CIWS is a close-in weapon system for defense against incoming threats such as small boats, surface torpedoes, anti-ship missiles and helicopters. It was designed and manufactured by the General Dynamics Corporation, Pomona Division, later a part of Raytheon.
A close-in weapon system is a point-defense weapon system for detecting and destroying short-range incoming missiles and enemy aircraft which have penetrated the outer defenses, typically mounted shipboard in a naval capacity. Nearly all classes of larger modern warships are equipped with some kind of CIWS device.

When you hear the alarm, Man Your Battle Stations your body tenses and a sense of fear overcomes you. its the fear of not knowing. Then your training kicks in and your thoughts are free and you do the job you were trained for. Even after 50 yrs of being out of the service my body still reacts to this alarm.

The carrier and ships are props not vehicles, the carrier wouldn't work in the games physics engine and the other ships are the same as your character in game would most likely take damage

Other than this being a computer simulation. The missiles are getting way to closer the cwis activating is a last ditch effort and the interceptor missiles should be away a lot sooner. If the cwis hits it it could hit the ships even after being knocked down
Yea in the background you should see the subs launching and aegis cruisers putting 40 little birds in the air to tell the people of iran a message from the profit.

During the Pacific War (WW2) when the Kamikaze got close there were times the incoming plane was doomed but the forward momentum still let it hit its target. Makes me wonder if the remains of the cruise missile might be able to do the same....
A plane and a missile are different things. A missile has a warhead. A plane has its body and fuel. These crams also fire missiles as primary to intercept at medium range. Btw crams are not SAMs
This is the real life Atari game. The interceptors are precise. They should carry missiles that will counter attack the enemy.

This game proves my point that the launcher for the air defense battery all needs to be upgraded to at least 30+ or more. Currently it has a max load of just 21 missiles and can be manually reloaded, however the missiles in the VLS launchers has to be reloaded by crane in port.

An arburke has 96 cells at its disposal. Dedicating 16 to ESSM it has 64 in quadpack, and another 32 to SM6 provides fleet intercept capabilities.
This is 48 cells, or about 50% capacity of all cells.
Even assuming the worst and that you will require two missiles to intercept a single inbound, you still have 16 threat engagements at or beyond horizon, and then 32 at 50km.
Aside from interception, the source of the incoming enemy missiles must be tracked and fired upon.

@@darugdawg2453 Sure. The pilot would follow the trail with satellite guidance to the source of the incoming missiles and destroy it, plus destroy as many incoming missiles as possible on the way to safeguard the carrier.
The real advantage is targeting. Finding the location of a strike group would be enormously difficult

While this video simulation is great, it leaves out the fact the US guided missile destroyers would also be locking onto and taking out the sites where these cruise missiles are coming from.

umm... no. Hypersonic missles are like a ballistic missiles. They go up to space then head down to their target. They can be intercepted.

Exactly...I was in the Navy...no group of ships would be sitting dead in the water in the middle of the ocean while being fired upon...they'd be in evasive maneuvers.

simulations don't fall directly over the intended target when they're blown out of the air that was way too close and way too real that's not a simulation and you're only seeing the tracers not all of the shells being fired at the incoming targets.
