Yikes. If it was already 8 hours delayed in South Carolina, it probably didn’t reach New York City till well past midnight or even the next morning, making it a two night trip instead of just one. And with no dining service, that must’ve been the train from hell. I can well understand why anyone would say they’re NEVER using Amtrak again. But with removing dining service, that’s what Amtrak wanted. A**holes.
