My hubby will do ANYTHING I come up , he loves it all! For a year and a half I have been suffering from breast cancer and he’s learned to do everything and I mean everything! I don’t dear tell him all my ideas because he’ll find a way to get it and since expenses have been unreal, I’m keeping my mouth shut! Lol married 44 years and my best friend. My husband would totally help me paint a wall just for Christmas. I am a retired Interior Designer and he swears any home we have owned had less squared footage when we sold than when we bought the home because of all the many, many layers of paint on the walls. 😁 I LOVE your ideas always but especially at Christmas...my favorite time of year. OMG I am so excited for this video! I told my husband on Oct 1st,"Guess what today is?" He gives me a look and I reply, "YES, one month from today the decorating begins!" We have been together 11 years and at first he didnt get it, but now, NOW he loves it! We moved to the Rocky Mountains a bit over a year ago and we have beautiful views out every window, a 10' waterfall in front, a 30' waterfall in back and a koi pond with a waterfall too.... sadly to much snow and WIND at 9200' elevation to decorate much outside but the inside is CHRISTMAS everywhere and I so love following you and your ideas. I have been told over and over that I should decorate for others but my satisfaction comes from enjoying the fruits of my labor in my own home for 8 weeks! I am so thrilled to see what you have next for us!!! P.S. He might not let me paint a wall, BUT I have a BIG project he is doing for me.... a WOOD COOKIE wall!!
I know it will be magical, as always.
But nothing can beat the year when you decorated your San Diego house with traditional green garland and red gold and green decorations :)
Painting a wall for the holidays is a fabulous idea. I love garland on top of kitchen cabinets. Everything you do is spectacular and by far Christmas videos are my favorite videos. ❤

I'm so excited! I LOVE CHRISTMAS! I'm stressed about the holidays but I do love them very much. I have a lot of health problems that make it harder to enjoy the holidays. But I still get excited when I see the lighted Christmas trees in the stores. Christmas gives me hope. I am really looking forward to listening to Christmas music, buying gifts and decorating. I hope your holiday is full of joy this year and every year. Get creative and lets have fun! Merry Christmas! Joy to the World!

Since you're going with a forestry theme maybe you should borrow Sharrah's bears that she used last year that was in her entrance way. I really like the idea of the type of Christmas trees that you're using in front of these windows. Using tiny lights with maybe icicles would look so beautiful from the outside from the street when people drive by. Maybe some white maple or silver maple tree limbs about 4 to 6 ft high leaning up against the wall.
Ever felt like any of your videos could be the biggest tease ever? 🤣 I told my husband I wait every year for your Christmas decorations to come out. Looking at this video makes it seem so far away. We all can't wait!!! 🎄❤️💚
You are my absolute favorite home decor and holiday decor channel! You decor and your ideas give me so much inspiration! I’m so excited to see all of your videos and decor for this year. I told my significant other (soon to be husband, Frank) that I’d love to do an accent wall, only I’m thinking of doing it in my bedroom. He told me “Whatever you want to do, we will make it happen” and never puts up any fuss, just goes with the flow.
I love how Rebecca just totally bypasses Fall and is ready for Christmas! Haha
Well Kudzai, my decision to bypass fall decorating is made out of necessity… not a dislike for fall decorations and festivities. I have found if I don’t decorate and film these Christmas video s very early, I won’t have them available for you when you need them to be inspired and motivated for your Christmas decorating process. So, yes… I forfeit the opportunity to address fall each year as a result. 🙂 RR

The first thing that came to mind for the kitchen is a fabulously tall acrylic piece on the counter near your amazing painting, lit from the bottom and surrounded by nature inspired accents. Everything looks amazing on paper...excited to see your thoughts come to life. Blessings!!!!

Becky, I still say...consider making that your forever home, install an elevator, build up those cabinets to the ceiling in the kitchen that you are not fond of and get sooo much more bang for your buck investing in what you already have. Your home there is and would continue to be show stopper. Think of what all you could do with the $$$ you would be saving by not building. This home is you and so beautiful !!
Rebecca, my spouse has always helps, or ask to help me , he's been this way, from day one.
I mention to my spouse, one year, I wanted one wall, to be painted Dark Red.
It looked beautiful after it was painted.
This year, I am decorating our Christmas in Gold and Silver.
I just started planning.

I’ve said for the last few years to my coworkers “ how amazing would it be to borrow and swap some coloured ornaments for the holidays to save some money instead of purchasing a whole trees worth of balls”. But my gosh.. no one ever seems to want too. I think I just need to move down your way so I can find me friends like you who’d do that ! 😅😊. My kitchen cabinets do not go all the way to the ceiling either, which I love, because it allows me to display my antique metal pitcher collection, but also allows me to run garland up there for Christmas. I also nestle in very large pinecones here and there, as well as a few special woodland ornaments.

On top of my kitchen cabinets ….I wrap fake presents in beautiful wrapping sparkly “Crystal- ly” & have my “contactor rope lights” up above that reflect the sparkly paper. I chose large scale boxes to wrap and intertwine the boxes between a few kitchen favorites like cobalt blue glass and do not try to over do it… organized beauty that just gives the kitchen that holiday glow.

My granddaughter “Sophia” is 6 and visiting today, she wanted to know why we moved the furniture (yes I removed my DR table too!) when I mentioned I was decorating, she assumed it was for Halloween 🎃. This time next month I will be decorating my house for Christmas. Can't wait!!! Every year when I open each container, I'm always surprised by what I have because always forget about some of it. Exciting times ahead.

I love the swapping idea and I love all your advice over the years. I have made some of the DIY's I've learned from you. The paper wreath is always a conversation piece. I have it up all year round and change the middle for each season. I have made it so I replace the middle part with velcro.

That is exactly what we do a beautiful garland on top of my kitchen cupboards decorated with clay gingerbread which I made myself plus blue baubles and tags with every name on our household pets included.

The animal in the snow painting looks like a reindeer to me. A moose’s antlers are much, much larger. I love the idea of garland on top of your cupboards and I love your idea of swapping ornaments with friends! It’s a great way to refresh things without spending extra money.

I thought my decorating was overwhelming. Omg I would hyperventilate at your house although I'm picking up as much as I can. This one was a good video Rebecca! Not much decor going on but plenty of planning which makes it unique as there are not many if any of these kinds of videos around… you’ve given me a glimmer of hope for Xmas, I’m usually really excited about it but my father has recently been diagnosed with cancer and has very little energy, he’s the cook and a good one at that so things won’t be the same this year, we will Ofc have a good meal none the less but it just won’t be the same. My decor ideas had gone to the back of my mind and I wasn’t feeling it but as I said you’ve given me that little glimmer and I think I’ll start thinking about what my colour scheme may be.. thank you! Everything sounds fabulous as it always does and is so I’m looking forward to seeing what you do. I wish you were able to do a load of Xmas videos like you used to do but you’ve said you’ve basically shown all the techniques it’s just getting the inspiration for your theme and colours.
