People always think that development for 2 different games related to the same franchise is taking away from the 'core' game, but they always have other teams or even other studios working on those side projects.
Beyond some high level concept work, Dread isn't being made by EAD in Japan but Mercury Steam in Spain (the guys behind the Metroid II: Samus Returns 3D remake).

I just realized something... Guys, I think we've accidentally diverged onto the best timeline. Think about it, we're living in a world where the next Pokemon game is open-world, Metroid Dread is un-cancelled, Zelda has a Warriors side-series, Nintendo let a third party make an amazing Zelda game, Mario Party has online, and so much more. These last two years have given us things that as gamers we've wanted for DECADES. This is... I'm just bewildered.
i bought the expansion pass literally last sunday not realizing how close we were to the release date. XD my brother and i are playing the game currently and i think we're near the end, so we'll see if we finish it before friday. :3
I 100% called floating islands for so long. It made the most sense on how to change the map drastically because you get ×2 interesting stuff to explore. I'm also hoping for underwater exploration.
Im hoping for a lot of underground exploration, too. My thought is that Zelda falls into an underground area and that's how they discover some huge cave system beneath Hyrule or something.
Man, I just want actual dungeons this time. There's no need for Shrines or Divine Beasts at this point, so maybe now we'll get to sink our teeth into the lore besides the ancient Shiekah(I don't remember how it's spelled sorry-) tech.

Danganronpa 2 goes full in on the "cheese", while V3 goes full in on making the characters way more human. A lot of people don't expect the tonal shifts and end up enjoying each game less than they otherwise would.

I just realised for BOTW2 Zelda still has her long hair when we see her but short hair in the cave from the early teaser. So she fell down the hole in the past and then some time later we meet with her with short hair. Link probably has the malice in his arm at that point and the teaser trailer was just a really cut up timeline of events. A part of me also wants to believe that the character skydiving in the first gameplay shot was short hair Zelda and we can play as her, but I won’t get my hopes up over my theories. Can’t wait to play it when I have $120 NZD to spare!
Nope, still short haired like the earlier teaser from before. Probably can't see it from Tom watching it this way, and is shown more better going frame by frame. It's her falling as the ground collapsed as Ganondorf awakens. Also Link's arm was grabbed by the green hand from the earlier teaser as well, and not just only due to his arm being covered by malice. So probably injured from the malice, but then was forced to be recovered by that green hand before.
Monkey Ball was the big thing for me. Just knowing I don't have to haul a Wii/Gamecube around to play that incredible multiplayer, it's sublime Advance Wars is probably the big new release for me, if only because it shows Nintendo is open to revisiting some old franchises. (FREE CHIBI ROBO AND CUBIVORE)
Imma be real mad if Mercury makes those new amiibo unlock things exclusive to them AGAIN. It'd be a real downturn from this pie-in-the-sky dream announcement of this long-cancelled Metroid game that nobody thought would come back.

Samus gives you a health extension first time used and a heal once per day after that and E.M.M.I. does the same but for missiles

I mean, hey, Prime 4 had to restart development entirely iirc, after like, a year of work. Dread has been on the shelf gathering dust since the *DS* era.

Honestly, i was disappointed with this one. I was bored throughout until the end. It's not because I hate Nintendo. (Get that shit out of your head!) And I'm sure as shit not a fanboy of any other company. I.E, Microsoft and Sony. I'm just saying it like it is.
I'm here to say your opinion is one in the minority. This is a big nostalgia drop, so it might be more group specific, but most of the people who were interested in nintendo as a whole greatly enjoyed this direct in comparison to the rest of E3.
