Im 44, and the intro just reverted me back to being 7 years old. Thank you SO much for uploading and digitising these GEMS. I will now be playing them to my own 7 year old daughter! :) :) :)

Loved these as a child, I'm 45 now. Tapes have long been lost. So great to hear them again. Such nostalgia and brings me right back :-)
Give this man an mbe for services to the people. You have given us all a feeling of pure clean innocence that isn't easily replicated. 👏🏾 As I'm writing this, the turn the page noise hit and I shuddered all over.

Im listening to this o am right back in the kitchen with my mum. We would listen to these whilst she was ironing. I would sit at the table with the magazine. My favourite time of the week. Thank you for sharing this. I am 47 and wish i could go back to those days ❤

Thank you so, so much for this! Over the years I have always had massive nostalgia about these, I listened to them over and over as a child and I vividly remember being so pissed when I mum stopped buying them and I missed out on the flying monkey edition! I’ve since purchased the whole set on eBay, but due to being cassettes, haven’t heard them! So this is a joy! They sound identical to how I remember! This is a complete gem for any 80’s child! Innocent and wholesome! They don’t make them like that anymore ❤
I'm 47 this year and this series made my childhood. I couldn't wait to sit at the dining table every fortnight to put the latest cassette in my mothers little cassette recorder and listen and follow along to the latest stories. I now have 2 small granddaughters and another one of the way. I can't wait to show them. Thank you so much for taking the time out to upload these. You are a saint!

Not only has it allowed me to relive and share my childhood memories with my daughter...
It also serves as a wealth of knowledge and information for all of my clients when it comes to models of excellence in story-telling, articulation, clarity, pacing, intonation, prosody, and voice characterisation...
We couldn't afford much growing up, but every fortnight, for a year my parents bought me a copy and I will always be grateful...
To think of some of the names that read aloud and brought the stories to life...
A true monumental, masterpiece of a collection!

My parents gave me the first issue of Story Teller 2 for Christmas 1984. I loved the stories and begged and begged my parents for the next issue, But they couldn't find it in the local bookstore, so I never got to complete the series. I found the magazine again last week, and looked it up on UA-cam, and found your channel!! I can't tell you how overjoyed I was. I feel like a kid at Christmas again. Thank you so much for doing this, I am so grateful.
Absolutely loved these when I was a kid. We would put them on at bedtime and listen to the stories, over and over. Thank you storyteller! :)

All of a sudden I’m back in my bedroom with the pink furniture and the smell eucalyptus. These are the most precious memories, thank you so very much!
My grandad bought me storyteller every fortnight and I kept all the tapes and magazines in perfect condition for 30 years. I haven’t been able to share the tapes with my girls as technology has moved on since the 80s!! Can’t wait to share with them, thank you!!

I'm 13 at the moment, and my dad had this in our old car which he used to play on our long car journeys and I have been thinking about this so much recently. Bringing so many memories back. Thank you for raising me on this dad 🙏🙏
Wow mate I used to listen to these as a kid every night .. always wanted to get them for my kids to listen to as story's have been dumbed down so much now for kids ... asoon as the total music started playing I got goose bumps thank you soooooo much for uploading these your a star ...

Thanks for the uploads, even the books are in good quality, it brings back memories. We had this ,too, in Germany back in the 80's. 52 tapes, some stories were different or even in another order but mostly the same. 👍

I'm so thrilled to find these - I had all the Storyteller tapes as a child and would listen to them last thing at night to get to sleep. I still have no idea how they got all the celebs involved! Thanks so much for uploading, and such great audio quality as well.
I collected them too I was 8 years old my mum bough me 1 every fortnight came with red case and there were 26 books and tapes god wish I had kept all mine brings back so many happy memories

I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to have access to these again after so long. As soon as I heard that theme tune, waves of emotional nostalgia just swept over me. Thank you so much for putting these up here AND with the books too...such a wonderful thing to do!
I found this video about 3 years ago, and what you've expressed is exactly what I feel when I close my eyes and listen to the opening theme tune. This by far has the most powerful feeling to revert me back to that 7 year old boy listening to them at bedtime. Nothing comes close to transporting me right back to that time. So happy you found them too!

I love these and they were a massive part of my childhood! every night I would listen to these to get me to sleep, I started again as an adult and now sleep all night as if I was 6 years old again.... insomnia is no more so I thank ýou for uploading. 👍

Thank you so much. I wrote to the publisher Marshall Cavendish years ago to ask if they would reissue these but they were unable to do so. My sister and I are over the moon to be able to share these with our girls and my Dad will also love listening to these again. Wonderful!

Wish i called my cat gobbolino. I say to him hes a witches cat since he was a kitten. Loved storyteller got the cassette case as well when it was out.
