this fish is the living embodiment of your first time kissing a girl in highschool
There’s probably a wave of people going to buy plecos after seeing this video.
Lets hope not they make as much waste as they clean and most people will not do the research into the right size for there tank. 😬
@@sugarbabie1681 true mine poops so much lol
He doesn't like that black stuff, gobbles it up then spits it right back out !
1st thing I noticed. He has a liking for the lite green goop. 🤣
Bruh
I love how he sits there and thinks about it for a second before he's like, "...yuck."
Racist fish
I think he gets it in his mouth, sucks the algae out of it, and then spits it back out
Love seeing these fish go OM-NOM-NOM. Reminds me of the plecostomus I used to have. RIP, Spots.
Idk think people understand how much of a life saver these creatures can be 👁👄👁
I would say quite the opposite. Personally I dislike common plecos simply because of how people think that they can get a fish to clean for them. And they are a nuisance in the wild. IMO there are much better algae cleaning solutions
@@sonofaquack6987 Oh shut up
When I was very young we had a suckered fish named George and he would do this all day to the tank his tank mate was a gold fish ...but yeah he did his job amazingly as the only time algae grew was a day after he passed on . He lived to be 12 and a half years old ( edit this video is super relaxing to watch because I loved to watch him )
He did such a great job. What an adorable fish
Love my plecos man. I have 3 commons right now in my 55 long but about to rehome one of them to a a 40 gallon long tank. They get the job done. I havent scrubbed my glass since i got them. They even eat the algae from the filter intake
Bro wut, 3 pleco inna 55 you must have to change the water twice a week
@@ajanggocrazyyycblessfree7483 thats what im saying i have a 75g and a long although my pleccos are small i need to do a weekly change plan on getting a 150g tank though eventually
He protecc
He attacc
But most of all, when he's cleaning, he eat snacc
Wow! That's cool. Never seen it in timelapse before 😀
Way more efficient than me at mowing the lawn!
This fish: NOM
Me, and probably you: *interesting*
Pleco: NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM
Plecos are my absolute favorite though, I have a bristlenose named Monty :)
Monica Geller : I'm gonna adopt uuuuuu😯😃😍
Beautiful how nature cleans and restores it self
I used to have a pleco! Their so awesome!
When mine grew it started to dirty the water instead of cleaning.
Jack Jacobo yep that’s what they do
Yep. That’s because you were supposed to be cleaning it instead of letting the fish do it....
They only cleaning the tank not the water, 😅
My God man you have to clean a fish tank! Don’t get a fish tank if you’re going to abuse the fish.
I had a pleco once too they shit a lot and polluted my water so i had to give it away
Nice video. You were able to capture a nice shot of the algae cleanup. I miss my pleco had to give him up when I moved across state.
2:59 Omnomnomn... Yuck!
Awesome video! This is what every aquarium needs. Thanks! ❤️
They’re so adorable! I remember being a very little kid and struggling to pronounce the name, so I was told I could just call them Mr./Mrs. Janitor :3 I still do honestly
"Get me that fish"
"But sir it will die if its out of the water"
"I said get me that fishhh"
I used to love these fish. They stopped selling them in South Africa, well at least in Durban about two years ago when I was looking to buy a couple. Apparently they were being released into the wild and they do devastating damage to the eco system.
Yea true, its resistant of living even in the dirtiest water is sick, toxic at the same time bcs the damage done
@@thegoonerz yeahp and they eat the other's fishes eggs, so that's the worst of them
That's what happens when poeple look for a quick fix for a iusse and pet stores don't inform poeple of adult sizes.
Yeah these guys get like 24 inches
Meanwhile my pleco just waits at the bottom for bug bites to steal from other catfish -_-
That fish 🐟 gonna need a bigger tank if he keeps eating like that post 10. 😂😂👍👍
😂😂
I used to have one, extremely good cleaners, lived for a very long time (many years) and grew to a substantial size.
Yes! I Thank you to the person that has a proper sized aquarium to house this plecko!
Wow i still remember having this fish as a kid .... It was so small and after 10 years it grows so big that i have to move it to my pond cause my aquarium super cramped
Wtf ya... Did you not even do research. And theyre not suppose to be put into ponds.
@@kendra5130 He said as a kid and times have changed, pet stores don't sell them to whoever now and just say AlGaE eAtEr
@@kendra5130 i plan on releasing mine into the san antonio riverwalk. Theres some there that are at least 2 ft if not bigger
@@ramiromoreno1386 i REALLY hope you haven't released it, they are invasive in American waterways and outcompete native species. Please try to give it to someone with a bigger tank instead.

Esse peixe e muito bom pra fazer limpeza de aquário aqui no BRAZIL tem muitos desse aqui e tilapias Brasil assistindo parceiro TMJ
Reminds me of our small fish tank back then, mom would buy these Janitor Fish. They are very friendly, plus they make our tanks healthy.
This shouldn't make people feel so bad if they have a so called bottom job. It's as natural as anything in a fishes world 🌎
So satisfying. Would be interesting to see the actual time scale, hours / Days ! :)
Nobody:
Suckerfish: 👁👄👁
Right next to Bettas, plecos are some of my favorite fish just cause they are so weird and awesome
Weird roomba
Hey why dont you recomend this to daily dose of internet?
Do as the man says
0:51 the way he just randomly drops made me laugh lol
Me During Quarantine day
UA-cam : hey wanna see fish being eating algae
Me : ok
It’s like a rumba of the fish world
Omg that’s so cute
No joke I had one of these guys, and named him DJ Roomba. RIP little guy..
yes, it is a fact these are amazing animals I myself have used suckerfishes for algae cleaning in my aquarium.
Girl: I just shaved
Me:
Giggity
holy crap 😂
Tom Nook: Best I can do is 1,500 bells
The music just makes this video 10 times better
It's like a fucking roomba
Какой труженник,сомик! Я в восхищении😍!))
I'm a pleco nut. One of the most unsung heros out there, and one of the most neglected fish. Except maybe a goldfish in a bowl or a beta in a cup.
Cool video !!
It missed a bit 🤣. I have 5 tanks. No algea in any of them. Snails and weekly water changes take care of it. Plecos keeping tanks free of algae is a total myth I'm afraid.
At least they're cute. Honestly i would keep one if i had the chance
He’s technically eating other fishes waste as in poop and other bacteria.
Good for him
Nope...
Yummy *snacc*
Actually it's eating algae not poop.
Aww! That fishy is so cute! : 3
Meanwhile my Pleco: 😶
...So basically it's a water roomba.
I thought it was a hoover
With this disco music and the fish chomping reminds me of the old days of raves and seeing people dancing and chomping on disco biscuits
How old is your suckerfish, I have found it really hard to get store bought ones to grow to any size. Anyway my sucker fish is around the size and is around 10 years old
How big is your tank if its too small your killing the fish
