Good teaching and needed
I am a member of the upcj church here in Jamaica and it's a big problem even now about our hair because we were thought that wearing of braids is wrong, praying are anything at all without our hots is wrong also.

If God wanted men to have no hair on their face then it would never grow, I don’t even need a scripture to clarify that because that’s just common sense, it’s just natural that a men have facial hair

A woman’s hair is her covering but the Bible teaches that her covering needs to be covered when she is praying

@emylema5911 the hair is the covering he said so no fabric covering needed. There are differings of opinion on this though. So I think it's down to personal conviction.

I don't believe that braiding of the hair is wrong, it's the wearing of weave in those braids and like the beads and strings. It's not our natural hair. Same with perming. You are changing your appearance that God has given you. Not just in the natural, but in the spiritual. It's like saying He didn't make you perfectly. Same thing goes for makeup. But, I would encourage everyone to not just take my word for it, but to go and seek confirmation from God. God bless everyone.

@Jesussavesallday it say your adornment must come from within. So, you must not focus more on your outward adornment than your inner adornment. Some people could have their hair in plats and they are closer to God spiritually. Plus Jehovah doesn't want you to only pray to him. You must also be good to his people which is everyone. So you can't sit in your place of worship praise him read your Bible then have a stink attitude towards your fellow men. Jehovah is love so you have to be of love as well. Also back then braid mean the addition of adornment to hair like cleopatra. You plating your hair is not an adornment because you are not adding anything to it.

Is it pride for a woman to have long hair? Why would it be prideful for a man to have a beard if it was given to Him by God?

Right, it's so crazy to me that people want to take a few scriptures and don't even look at the context, this is bondage not to cut your hair and also a heresy because a lot of Pentecostals believe hair can heal people which is a form of witchcraft, the devil is so cunning and he is all up in the church, this is religion and doctrine of man and when he was referring to braided hair it was back in the day in first century roman culture and people of high status wore jewelry and braided hair to show off and flaunt their wealth, so that is why Paul was basically saying calm down with all that outward appearance and try to be modest.

It's talking about the Israelites. It wouldn't be a purpose for the scriptures to say that to white women. It's about Israel the black people.
