Hi Laura watching your channel has changed my life. I went to horticultural college 20 years ago and gained my RHS qualification but then had kids and ended up working in an office. Fast forward to 2020 the pandemic hit and my husband and I were made redundant, so after watching you for 4 years and realising this is what i really want to do with my life I started my gardening business. Now I'm coming up to my first year anniversary in June and I couldn't be happier so thank you for being such an inspiration.
Laura will make me go broke! I want to buy all the plants! If Laura says I need to grow something, I say to myself "She is absolutely right!" and then immediately rush to my local garden center to bring home more plant babies. Also How cute is Benjamin saying "Artichokes"? Best way to start my day, hands down!
Besides practical analytical minds, you guys have good taste in music too:))) It's always matched perfectly to reflect special moments in your videos. A++ for artistry overall!💚
Luv luv seeing benjamin riding around and helping his mama. It's the sweetest thing to wake up to every morning. Luv it. Gonna have to get a 4 seater for when Samantha grace starts riding around lol 😆.
I love that I get to see Benjamin become a little gardener. This is going to be part of his story when he’s older & I just love that Laura & Aaron share it with us! ❤️
Why do I get so much pleasure out watch you plant? I spent all day Saturday planting my flower seedlings. I was so sore but it felt so good to get my hands dirty....
Preserved artichokes that are gilded or painted gold are gorgeous in fall and Christmas displays such as centrepieces and arrangements. Anxious to see how they do in the cut flower garden!
Whoever chooses your background music has got great taste. Would love to see your own musical talent on video someday - Laura on piano and Aaron on guitar, yes?
Seeing Benjamin brings me so much joy! I remember thinking how sweet it would be to see u having a child around you guys in your beautiful garden and Lo n Behold!! Less than a month you announced u were pregnant !! I've been married 1 yr more than u with no kids so it was soooo its much joy to see your family. Can't wait to see Samantha Grace around!! Keep up the great work.
I just love Russell, he loves to be around you, Laura, or maybe it's the camera, lol. Sweetheart, Benjamin, now he is the kind of helper I need in my garden. I love seeing you both riding in the tractor together. You are all so blessed. I'm so happy for you and feel blessed to be able to watch you and your family create together. Thank you all.
The Sun and bright days is what I crave . Watching you garden brightens my day . My garden is slowly waking up ,cleaning and pruning is done . Love seeing Benjamin with you 😊
Watching you with your son is incredibly touching......I love your channel and can’t tell you how inspiring you are to me! Thank you for your commitment to this wonderful life that you’re sharing with us all and thank you Aaron too.....where would Garden Answer be without him? You two make a perfect example of married life...a life that not only is loving and kind but also a life that’s dedicated to helping others. 💓
So happy to see you planting with and teaching your young son. I did the same thing when my son was young. He developed a strong connection with gardening and cooking with fresh ingredients preferably from the garden. He is now 37 and loves the earth and what it can provide for us. Keep embracing your kids in the way you are and they will also grow into wonderful adults.❤❤
The picture of those look amazing. Can’t wait to see them grow and flower. I love artichokes but have never grown them. So much fun to see Benjamin excited and happy to help you plant things. Such memories y’all will have.
Anyone else notice how Laura has increased the amount of "structural" plants in her cut flower garden.. a need for "tidy" when everything else is torn up? Speaking to the choir here, LOL.
Is anyone else ready for an hour long video with Laura? You know sit down with a snack and just follow her all day, on cleaning up flower beds, planting, cutting things back, moving things that sort of stuff.
I just wanted to say how much I look forward to your videos each morning. Like everyone else here, your videos are part of my morning coffee routine! Thanks for starting my day with a smile!
I love it when Benjamin helps! Artichokes are so interesting and I've always wondered about was the first person who decided it was a good idea to eat them.
Does anyone ever look at the length of the video and get sad that it's not long enough. I just enjoy a good 20 minute and longer video from Laura and the fam. It's just a great way to start my morning. Of course with my coffee ☕ Just to add, I'm not complaining. I'll take what I can get. 😅
I am so jealous when I watch you plant in your lovely fluffy soil. I live in North Carolina and have really dense clay soil. It's like digging in concrete!!!
To have these beautifully edited videos of you and Benjamin working in the garden together is such a gift that you will be able to look back on someday. How sweet it will be when Samantha is big enough to join in.
I love watching you light up as you speak about artichokes Laura! You are a wonderful mom, watching you patiently guide Benjamin and I love the fact that he WANTS to be out there with you, it's so endearing 🌱♥️ One last thing, after you're done harvesting these artichokes, could you please do a cooking video on possibly having them grilled and how you prepare them! The very few times that I have bought one from the grocery store and cooked it which I think is only maybe two times in my life, I just steam them and in some boiling water and I would love to see other options! Thank you again for all you do for your subscribers and help us love gardening as much as you do! From one Oregonian to another 😉
Beautiful job on the videography in this video. The music went so well and loved the part where the music perfectly illustrated where Laura was planting the artichokes. YOu all are doing a great job as always!
What a public advertisement for eating all types of vegetables, or at least growing them. Your so blessed to have such a nice helper. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to the next one.
Hi everyone, how fortunate for Benjamin to grow up in this lifestyle. I wish so much that I would had this opportunity. I grew up with a single mom, who worked 2-3 jobs just to pay bills. Our grandparents watched us from time to time, but they were both retired & didn't do much gardening. I love gardening even though I'm new to it. I really appreciate the time & knowledge u take to make these videos. I watch them religiously. When u don't post anything on Sundays, I go back & watch old vlogs. Thank u for all your time.
Hi Laura, I am so looking forward to learning so much from you about how to make our place beautiful! Right now I am focusing on growing food first, so I wanted to share with you that Epic Gardening channel teaches us that you can have the artichoke as a perrenial plant in colder environments if you cut the whole plant down to where the plant touches the ground... and then cover it really well with mulch to prevent it from freezing over the winter. I wanted to share, in case that helps you save some time for yourself in the future! Many blessings and thanks 🙏🏼🌸🦋
I stated my artichokes with you and they look amazing. I would love to see an update on your Lisies too! You were my guiding star during the process, so when results are the same or similar, I feel very accomplished! Im growing EVERYTHING for my daughters wedding in August, so the pressure is on! Sooooo very grateful to have your precious little faces to guide me along!!! 🤗🌺🌼🌸💚
I love everything about this video. The editing and the music gave it a great homey feel. If only every child could be raised to appreciate gardening and the value of hard work, the world would be a much better place.
I only just started watching and just love Russell on that shelf by the seedlings. I love cats and just adore seeing him in your videos. He seems to just love being wherever you are. Sweet! 😻
Russell has the BEST off stage entrance on UTUBE. Benjamin will be a future expert in gardening 🧑🌾. He’s so adorable! Precious video and I will save it and watch in 10 years to remember this beautiful Mom and son teaching moment. I love this channel so much ❤️
Love seeing Benjamin being a great helper!!! When our daughter was Benjamin’s age we would leave our inpatients across the yard just to give her helper jobs. Artichokes are a favorite in our house!! Enjoy 😊
The fact that one day benjamin will tell the same story as you:- "This is the garden where i grew up.... this is where i learnt a lot about gardening with my parents...when we bought this land it was full of waist high weeds...nd now it's beautiful".... can't wait for those days....!!!😋😋 He's a cool guy!!
Benjamin is so sweet. I love that he enjoys helping you with planting and helping his daddy with tractors and equipment. He’s interested in everything you guys do which sure makes it easier! I saw artichoke plants the other day but didn’t get one. If they’re still there the next time I shop, I will check them out.
I think I mentioned to keep those artichoke stalks and eat those too. It's called Cardoone sp? My Italian grandfather used to bring us artichokes and the stalks or stems. They are par boiled, then dipped in seasoned batter after deep fried. So good!!
@@karenross3457 Hi! Yes they are the long stem the artichokes are attached to. If I recall my Mom making them, You peel the stringy stuff away, like on celery. Par boil in salted water to soften a bit. Then do a seasoned flour/egg batter. You can also UA-cam it. I saw one or two a year or so ago. Wish my Mom was still with us to ask her.
Watching you drive up to the big garden trees in back ground looks so good cannot wait to see what it looks like in a year what a great place to go out and have lunch or dinner I can picture it now awesome, 😍🛤
Soo Excited to see the Artichokes. We live in Yuma, Arizona & they planted an entire field & when in bloom they were BEAUTIFUL!! We are the Lettuce Capital & the contrast was Awesome. 🥰🥰❤❤
I have never considered Artichokes as a decorative plants. Benjamin is learning so much by helping! I will have to think about artichokes in a different way! 😃🪴🌿
4:54 .... how sweet!!! ❤️ It won't be long before you'll have to get a trowel/small shovel for Benjamin so he can plant also! Artichoke flowers are awesome for pollinators!!!
Benjamin is such a great assistant, I have a brother whose middle name is Benjamin and I love that name. Every day I watch your videos and learn something new. My garden is getting more beautiful each day watching you and a few others on UA-cam. Thanks for sharing your information.

Good morning, happy Monday! Omg. That cut away footage of Laura and Benjamin riding in the gator was the sweetest. Have a good day! 🥰❤️

Benjamim is such a good boy , very soon he will be planting more than Laura.
Benjamin’s got his mom's beautiful eyes. I wonder if Samantha Grace does too... Looking forward some artichoke blooms! 😂🌺🌻🌸
NOBODY was surprised when she decided to space them 3 feet apart instead of 4 feet 😆😂 A woman after my own heart 🤣
Happy Monday everyone😊
Happy Monday to you!!

Good morning all! 🌞☕️🌸
I clicked the video so quickly because we didn't get one yesterday.
I didn't know artichoke had such beautiful blooms.
I enjoyed seeing Benjamin working in the garden with you. 🦋
Morning from The Bahamas!! Coffee with Laura and GA Friends…
You've got a budding little gardener 🌱 in Benjamin. What a doll.
Love your channel and that darn cat Mr. Russell😸😹
I miss longer Videos. Ur always my bright spot of my day. I love watching anything you do.
Russell looked sooo cute sleeping amongst the plants!😘

Russell's photo bomb at 2 minute mark....what a guy! He is definitely attached to you. I have a cat named Huckleberry who follows me everywhere. 😊

They ARE a lovely plant. I look forward to watching them grow. Benjamin is such a sweet little helper. Guess Russell needed some nap time today. :-)
Love watching Benjamin be such a good helper. Great parents and teachers he has. Love, hugs, prayers.
Benjamin is such a good helper!!! 🥰
So excited for this artichoke journey!!
And seeing Benjamin's little legs barely hanging over the edge of the seat in the gator made me smile
Happy Monday! I hope everyone has a day as lovely as Laura’s gardens
Ahh Laura’s helper!😍and I just LOVE today’s planting music! Perfect way to start your day! Thanks GA!
The music when planting started had me jamming. 🎶

It's nice to see Benjamin and Mom working together and Russell!
Very precise placing of the pots by Benjamin 🤩 Laura... your bending down days will be less and less with Benjamin placing pots on the ground 😀💕
Working with children is always wonderful
As a retired school teacher it was nice to see him repeat the word artichoke so well.
Love seeing Benjamin being a great helper!!! When our daughter was Benjamin’s age we would leave our inpatients across the yard just to give her helper jobs. Artichokes are a favorite in our house!! Enjoy 😊
Happy Monday, Laura!
So fun how much we get to see of Benjamin. He is such a terrific helper and what great memories you are building for both of you.
Benjamin is such a great kid, good helper! 🤗💜🤗
Benjamin should have his own little garden bed that'll be so cute!
I love how you are teaching Benjamin how to grow a garden. I know Samantha Grace will love it too!

The artichokes 🌳 took almost 5 months to reach the size they are, but Russell 🐈 1:34... felt they had to pass his test too. A cat, is a cat, is a cat!
