Hi Laura watching your channel has changed my life. I went to horticultural college 20 years ago and gained my RHS qualification but then had kids and ended up working in an office. Fast forward to 2020 the pandemic hit and my husband and I were made redundant, so after watching you for 4 years and realising this is what i really want to do with my life I started my gardening business. Now I'm coming up to my first year anniversary in June and I couldn't be happier so thank you for being such an inspiration.

I live in a zone 5 and my artichoke is coming back every year for 3 years now. Even after -25C winter.
Laura will make me go broke! I want to buy all the plants! If Laura says I need to grow something, I say to myself "She is absolutely right!" and then immediately rush to my local garden center to bring home more plant babies. Also How cute is Benjamin saying "Artichokes"? Best way to start my day, hands down!

Luv luv seeing benjamin riding around and helping his mama. It's the sweetest thing to wake up to every morning. Luv it. Gonna have to get a 4 seater for when Samantha grace starts riding around lol 😆.
Preserved artichokes that are gilded or painted gold are gorgeous in fall and Christmas displays such as centrepieces and arrangements. Anxious to see how they do in the cut flower garden!

So happy to see you planting with and teaching your young son. I did the same thing when my son was young. He developed a strong connection with gardening and cooking with fresh ingredients preferably from the garden. He is now 37 and loves the earth and what it can provide for us. Keep embracing your kids in the way you are and they will also grow into wonderful adults.❤❤

One last thing, after you're done harvesting these artichokes, could you please do a cooking video on possibly having them grilled and how you prepare them! The very few times that I have bought one from the grocery store and cooked it which I think is only maybe two times in my life, I just steam them and in some boiling water and I would love to see other options!

The artichokes 🌳 took almost 5 months to reach the size they are, but Russell 🐈 1:34... felt they had to pass his test too. A cat, is a cat, is a cat!
Is anyone else ready for an hour long video with Laura? You know sit down with a snack and just follow her all day, on cleaning up flower beds, planting, cutting things back, moving things that sort of stuff.

Hi Laura, I am so looking forward to learning so much from you about how to make our place beautiful! Right now I am focusing on growing food first, so I wanted to share with you that Epic Gardening channel teaches us that you can have the artichoke as a perrenial plant in colder environments if you cut the whole plant down to where the plant touches the ground... and then cover it really well with mulch to prevent it from freezing over the winter. I wanted to share, in case that helps you save some time for yourself in the future! Many blessings and thanks 🙏🏼🌸🦋

Benjamin is so sweet. I love that he enjoys helping you with planting and helping his daddy with tractors and equipment. He’s interested in everything you guys do which sure makes it easier! I saw artichoke plants the other day but didn’t get one. If they’re still there the next time I shop, I will check them out.
