All I see is a real friendship. The people who are offended are probably the ones who think a friend is someone who agrees with everything they say/do and who tells them what they want to hear.
IMO, a real friend is someone who challenges you and tells you the hard truth even if it hurts. All in a respectful way of course.
99% of people have fake friends.
Came to say something similar. You're not real friends if you can't get ill with each other (I'm southern so that's what we say, lol)... Tell each other the truth or your opinions, even if the other party won't agree or even if it will possibly upset them. If you can't be your **true** self... And if you don't disagree and tell one another the hard truths... And if you don't act like family, then unfortunately... It's probably not a true friend. This is all coming from 36 years of learning this lesson the hard way 😓 I'm glad Selena has a true friend, who is like family to her. We all need that.
Agree but then the start of this video was already an issue. Real friends don’t tell you you’re complaining about work when your dealing with health issues and need rest and have to acknowledge that for the sake of your health.
@@MoonBeamLight Yesss dude like a true friend wouldn’t make a friends feelings feel invalid. It could be her intentions were good but I guess the clip just didn’t come off in that great of a light only because it’s just a small clip of what they talk about at times. Hopefully it was just tough love though but hopefully in the future the friend won’t make Selena’s feelings feel invalid whenever she expresses herself in the future. I’m sure she’s a good friend though but Ik friends are human at the end of the day and they’re mean sometimes without meaning to be and it’s fine only because we’re all human and imperfect.

Honestly, it’s better that she’s straightforward that constantly pleasing Selena. This is what a friend should do. She keeps Selena grounded.
Raquelle was just telling her friend the honest truth without any hostility. Her tone expresses concern. Real friends tell you how it is. She didn't deserve the backlash.
If you can argue or have a disagreement with a friend and it doesn’t effect your friendship in any way, is what a real friendship is.
My best friend and I have been BF’s for 21 years, we’re the closest thing to family that two unrelated people could be. We have moments like that and it never once changed our friendship.
I’ll say this… Raquel has been there throughout Sel’s Life. She didn’t deserves the backlash. Us fans don’t know Selena the well.. we may know 1/4 of Selena and what she gone through but Raquel knows Selena through and through.
Honestly we know nothing about her. I don't even know how Selena has so many followers when she's so secretive that every day there's a fake headline about her. She never addresses rumors, barely shows herself in public. It's crazy
I considered her to be a really good friend to Selena. A person who can be direct with you, and in a way call you out, and check in to see how you are, as opposed to pretending, besting about the bush or not being real, is someone I would consider to be real and genuine. She's a good friend to selena from what I watched on the doc
Raquelle is a good friend, Selena was famous since her childhood, the last thing she needs is people who are trying to please her or see her as someone on a pedestal. True friends should call out your bs and keep you in check!! Period.
This is a true friendship, its real and not fake. Real friends tell it how it is between each other even when they dont want to hear when there wrong but in the end they will always be there for you if you like it or not and in the end they are so grateful that you stuck around. So many people dont have true friends who have there own opinion and only let you hear what you want to hear because there afraid you wont be friends with them anymore. A true friend doesnt care how mad you get . They just want whats best for you 🤗

Look it's never that simple especially when you (and I mean this respectfully towards selena.) Someone who deals with immense pressure and very powerful emotions. To be friends with someone who deals with that and try to support them as much as you can.
I think there’s a difference between honesty and accountability. She is honest. So is Selena. The issue with both of them is entitlement and insecurity. They looked at those African girls with patriarchy lens “When do you wanna fall in love?” As if romantic love is the only answer or goal to happiness. They said “I’m happy with who I am”
That priority adjustment still needs to hit them. That’s why Selena wanted to go back and Raquel wanted to call it out. The celebrity money/class gap in the US is astronomical compared to the rest of the world. Patriarchy upholds capitalistic idiocy and religious nationalism. Those women have qualities most American women never will: Self worth. Glowing hearts. Pure energy. Non male-centered lens or goals. Providing a self worth, femininity, and security Hollywood and Instagram girls like Selena and Raquel will never attain unless their lives drastically changed. They’ve had to SURVIVE. They are in their power and HAPPY.
Real friends say the things to u others won't it usually seems harsh at first but then u realize they are looking out for u more then anyone.
